This product is designed to kill certain types of moth. The most common ones that come into the house tend to get gone very quickly there are the odd moth species that seem immune to it so just catch them and put them outside again. Over all great item and does what it says
I had to apply 3 times but after Ive seen an improvement. After using for a long time and applying once a month I didn’t had any plague again. What I liked too is that doesn’t smell strong or bad so you can apply during the day and doesn’t disturb.
It’s too early to tell if this moth spray has worked. I’m hoping that is has as I’m sick and tired of dealing with moths.
I ordered this spray and one from another brand plus some moth smoke bombs. I’m hoping that between the three of them, the pesky moths are on their way out!!!!
It comes with a bottle with a lid and the spray nozzle attachment part is separate.
The spray is easy to use. I’ve been using it in dark places where the moths hang out and make baby moths.
The quality seems ok so far but I’ll have to wait and see.
The cost is expensive, hence why I dropped a star. It could be cheaper but at least it’s a litre bottle and not half the size like some.
I tried not to get too close and smell it. I’ve got asthma so I’m scared of what smelling/inhaling the product might do. I spray it whilst wearing a mask.
I’ll update my review once I’ve had a chance to see if it works. I’ve not seen any moths for a few days but that doesn’t mean they’ve gone.
Been using this for a few days, initially spraying in the dark corners where we seem to suffer moths, and there is frequently evidence of moth infestation, and the number of moths we now see seems to be reducing, so I think its having a positive effect. We haven’t gone mad with it, because of our nosey cats, and although it claims pet safe, it also says keep pets away….
I’ve included the instructions and warnings from the back of the bottle in the images attached.
No discolouration on our beige carpet so far.
In the last day or 2, we’ve taken to using a single trigger squeeze at flying moths, which seems to have the instant effect of they dropping out of the air, where we vacuum them up.
All in all, seems more effective than other treatments we’ve tried DIY, but definitely not as good as the commercial stuff that pest control used last time they came round – it is a common problem around here, most people with wool carpets seem to get an annual infestation.
The odour is quite offensive, quite a strong ammonia type smell.
The solution arrived all ready to use, it just needs a good shake first. The bottle is sealed and also has its own screw cap. A trigger spray is also provided to administer the solution with.
It doesn’t just kill moths, but their larvae and eggs as well. Hopefully stopping the entire life cycle in its tracks. It smells quite pungent and I definitely recommend wearing a mask and opening windows when using it. It’s an effective way of ridding the house of pesky annoying moths.
It also claims to offer up to 12 weeks protection. It killed the moths and so far they haven’t returned.
READY STEADY DEFEND Carpet Moth Killer Spray is an absolute lifesaver! I was plagued by a nasty moth infestation in my flat, and my beloved jumpers were in danger. But fear not, this spray came to the rescue!
Using this product was a breeze. I simply sprayed it all throughout my flat, targeting those sneaky moths where they were nesting. Pew pew! The results were astonishing. It destroyed the infestation completely, leaving my space moth-free and my clothes safe once again. What’s more, it doesn’t even leave a nasty smell behind. Good for your clothes, good for your nose.
I can’t recommend this product enough. It’s easy to use and incredibly effective. If you’re dealing with moths, this is your ultimate defender.
This looks like a serious moth annihilator, and I hope it puts and end to the infestations we’ve been having. So far so good, but it’s only when the eggs do (or hopefully don’t) hatch out in our carpets that I’ll know for sure.
It smells potent (best spray it on with a mask and the windows open) and it looks convincing, so I will assume it does the job. I will update this review if it doesn’t work.
Well worth the current price of 12.74 if it does!
I find this easier to use than the (equally effective) Indorex, because this doesn’t create as many fumes. It still seems to be effective on carpet moths & their eggs.
There is a bit of a chemical smell when you’re applying it but it doesn’t linger too much.
I recently found some moths so I ordered the spray and it’s great right now it works well not sure if it works on the eggs yet but I’m sure it will. It is easy to use and can be used on carpets, rugs, and curtains.
We have been unfortunate enough to have has moths in the house since my wife bough a coat that appears to have been their Trojan horse moment around 2 years ago, and we’ve been blighted with them since. I have tried a number of products and they have varied in effectiveness from barely making a difference to thinking that we rid ourselves of them, but they always seem to return. The opportunity to try to kill them in the larval stage seemed too good to miss, so I ordered the READY STEADY DEFEND Carpet Moth Killer Spray to see if this would help us break the cycle. The product is supplied in two parts, a 1L bottle with a sealed cap, and a pump action trigger to fit to the bottle so yopu need to do a tad of self assembly before you can apply the treatment.
I wanted to use this in the upstairs bedrooms and wardrobes as that is where we’ve had the issues, so I waited for a day when everyone was out, donned gloves, mask and light clothing and started to spray the area. The problem I found was that the pump is terrible and doesn’t dispel the contents as a fine spray, it squirts and drips which is terribly messy. So I found a spray gun in the shed that I know works great for fine mist watering on plants in the house and I put the contents of the bottle into that. Using that I managed to spray all 3 bedroom carpets and some cupboards before exhausting the contents. It is pretty much odourless and doesn’t mark anything it is sprayed onto — but I’d not allow pets or anyone else into the rooms until they had been closed off for an hour then aired for a couple of hours following the treatment. Since using it around 3 weeks ago we’ve not seen any moths in the upstairs rooms at all, I’m not celebrating just yet because we’ve seen this before and they have returned, but I am pleased that it has at least stopped this particular cycle. Shame the pump on the bottle was so poor as the product does seem effective and well priced.
So far, this moth spray has been helpful for summer, killing them when I see them flutter around. It says carpet moth, but it’s effective against moths in general, so it’s done well so far.
The product is a ready-to-use spray that is easy to use, no mixing, no diluting, and is advertised as being effective on carpets and textiles, but I think it’s helpful as a bug spray in general.
At 15.99 for a one litre bottle of moth spray that provides a few weeks of protection, this is pretty good in value. It supposedly offers effective protection for up to 8 weeks, which is a decent amount of time, however 8 weeks hasn’t elapsed yet, and I don’t have an infestation, so I’ve only been using this on singular moths and near windows to hopefully deter them from flying in.
Overall, this moth spray is pretty good and I have no issues recommending it.
Unlike most rather useless aerosol moth killers this doesn’t come in a spray can but in a bottle with a removable spray nozzle. It’s a good sized container and each treatment should last about 3 months. It has a pleasant smell but you must ventilate the room properly as it’s quite astringent. The nozzle can be switched between a stream of liquid or a spray depending on whether you need to get into awkward corners. It will kill off not just the moths but also any eggs or larvae left behind – this makes all the difference to it actually working properly. I am hopeful that I have seen the last of carpet moth in my house!
This product is a good price for the size of bottle.
Should be enough to do one room in our haoue which has had the carpet destroyed by moths.
Fingers crossed it will do the job.
If you have moths in the house, its likely that you’ll need a number of different products to fully eradicate them. I had recently found some in the carpet in the cupboard so I thought I’d check this out.
The spray is in a very large bottle but remains easy to use, you simply put the spray nozzle on and then directly or mist spray it into the area. It doesn’t smell great, so you’ll probably want to allow plenty of air into the area as you use it though is non-damaging to the carpets themselves. In my brief experience using it, spraying directly onto a moth did eliminate it instantly though time will tell if it killed the eggs and prevented them coming back too.
Overall then this product is easy to use and seems effective.
We had not suffered from a moth attack until recently but now we have we go out of our way to prevent a future attack.
By the time we found out we had moth larvae we had already suffered a lot of damage to wool carpets and a number of woollen garments had been ruined. So quite a costly attack.
While it is not the moth that does the damage but the larvae from the eggs the moths lay it is necessary to try to kill the moths and the larvae and break the life cycle.
This spray will kill months and the larvae. Thus helping to prevent a moth infestation from taking place.
Just a shame we did not find this product before we got the moths!
Very good value for money and really easy to use.
This arrives as a decent sized bottle with a screw cap on it & a spray top beside it in a clear plastic bag.
As a spray bottle, it’s awful.
After about 3 sprays, I had to stop, wash my hands & find some disposable gloves.
The liquid runs down leaving your hands/gloves dripping with the stuff.
Even with gloves on I had to keep wiping my wet glove on stuff to get some of the liquid off.
I also found I couldn’t spray this without it setting me off coughing A LOT, so I wore a face mask (& had the windows open).
Please don’t apply this with pets or children (or anyone really) in the room.
It doesn’t really have much of a smell & I applied it to all the fabric things in my living room before heading to bed.
I had enough left over to do the rest of the ground floor (we have rugs not carpet in rooms)
It was dry in the morning, had left no visible marks on any fabrics & seems to have done the job.
For the last couple of years we seem to have been plagued by moths.
Every day you’d see more than one.
Since spraying this I haven’t seen any.
This lost a star because the spray bottle is THAT BAD, but as we seem to be moth free so far, I have to give it 4 stars for working.
This moth killer comes in an enormous bottle with a lid to protect but also comes with a pump action spray gun which I can add onto when I’m ready to use. This moth killer is For carpet moths meaning it’s safe to use on my carpets and my rugs etc. We have a lot of moths around the home just because of the area we live in so having this moth killer means I’m able to eradicate them from the home and to spray on the outdoor door netting which will stop them from laying their eggs there because it’s a dark secluded area at the top and in the corners. I’ve tried different types of insect killers before now and nothings worked so to have this specific spray for moths is great to have and use. The size of this bottle alone makes this a good price.
