Purchased this as a gift for my niece, the hair straighter is amazing , it is very easy to use and makes the hair very sleek when straightening your hair. It goes to a very high temperature which is exactly what she wanted and it is very easy to use and comfortable to gold whilst using.
Okay so I like the length of the plates they are just right? When you first turn the straighteners on the new smell isn’t very pleasant, but even now after 4 X uses I am still smelling that newness smell, it hasn’t gone yet?! I’m hoping it will go soon? It has a switch just on the inside which is good, and a lock on the outside? They warm up quite quickly but it takes ages to cool down? They are ok but I wouldn’t say they are the best you can get?
This hair straightener is a nice basic straightener to have with good basic functions. I really like that the heating up time is short and the straightener is ready to use 30 seconds after turning it on. I also really appreciate the function to automatically turn the straightener off after 60 minutes – this saves me many headaches wondering if I turned it off before I leave the house!
The only thing I would improve is the ability to adjust the heat – the straightener heats up to 215 degrees without the ability to adjust that. I usually prefer to use just below 200 degrees heat for my hair to save it from drying out. However, this does not mean that the straightener is a bad choice – it does the straightening job well, just doesn’t protect the hair as much as some other similarly priced alternatives.
My hair looked like I just came from the hairdresser and with super fine hair I have never found a straightner that worked until now. Took about a min to heat up and didn’t smell good the first time I used it, but that went away after a few uses.
This is great budget friendly hair straightener by Remington. It is simple and reliable. Easy to use and super fast heat up in up to 30 seconds. Can heat up to up to 215 C. Light and fairly small so perfect for travel as doesnt take much space.
Ceramic coated plates are safe for your hair and heat evenly provide fast and gorgeous results. Can be use for straightening but also I use it for curling, so its multi use.
Extra long plates are great and super convenient for medium and long hair. Comes with automatic safety feature that shut off the straightener after 60 minutes of use so no fear of leaving straightener switch on and leaving the house.
A handy and cheap little pair of straighteners. These are a nice design, not too large, not too weighty, there is a 360 rotating cable attached.
You have one button, the power button. This heats up to 215 and in a short space of time too.
These aren’t bad. I wasn’t expecting a lot for the cheap price by they’re better than expected. I have quite frizzy/curly hair, so not many straighteners do the job well. These got my hair straight, with a silky’ish look to it, it was just maintaining the straightness afterwards and the next day, that I struggled with. Now, my friends hair straightened and stayed straight until she washed it. She doesn’t have frizzy hair, just wavy.
It would suit some types of hair perfectly. So I would recommend them.
The Remington 215 iron is comfortable to use and has ceramic-coated plates which helps to have a firmer ironing. the plate is 110mm.
It is fast heating and ready to use. It’s comfortable to hold and I like that it has a swivel cord to keep it from getting tangled up while you’re using the iron.
Overall it is of good quality and works well. I didn’t expect much from a 16.99 hair straightener, but I’m happy with the results and will definitely buy one of these Remington 215 hair straighteners again if the need arises in the future, although I think it will last me a long time. .
