Getting used to it now but as someone who has no patience or hair styling skills it is great reasonable easy to use & I’m sure will get easier the more I use it & all the attachments. Only thing I would like is a smaller round brush
I have always loved a curled look but it was always a long styling job so didn’t bother often. This is a game changer! Curl in as little as 10 minutes. Pricey but so far, well worth it!
Use on my hair (curly):
– It took me a few tries to blow dry my hair properly. The first couple of times I ended up with some chunks of frizz, but eventually I was able to obtain smooth results.
– I also tried out the curl attachments after my hair was about 90% dried as recommended. The curls didn’t form very well and the end result was a lot of frizz. I tried again another time but sprayed each section with water before using the styler. The results were much better but the curls didn’t hold all day. Tried the same method again and applied some curl gel at the end, it only made a little difference.
– As I don’t have the actual diffuser attachment for the shark flexstyle, I attached a diffuser I had been using on my old hairdryer. There was a major positive difference in results in comparison to using the diffuser with the old hair dryer. The shark flexstyle is just way better, my curls are more defined and with minimal frizz. Due to these pleasing results, I intend on purchasing the diffuser attachment that is meant for this hairstyler.
– Note, with regard to the styling methods I tried (excluding diffusing), my hair did end up a bit dry so I had to give it a moisture boost with a hair mask to revitalise it.
Use on daughters hair (wavy):
– Overall results were much better on my daughters hair.
– Blow-drying was easy and left hair looking sleek and shiny.
– I was more successful with creating gorgeous curls with the curl attachments, but unfortunately the curls didn’t hold on their own. They did however hold when I applied curl gel to her hair after.
– Unlike my hair, my daughters hair did not feel drier after use.
For me drying and styling my hair can be a unwelcome pain because I have a medical condition which causes nerve damage, so holding and maneuvering a dryer & brush, and then a hot brush or straighteners for around an hour is very difficult and leaves my arms very achy. I’ve tried many different hairdryers & I’ve also tried a few of these types of hyped dryer/styler brushes and whilst they definitely helped with making my drying & styling routine easier and faster, I just never felt that I’d found ‘the one’. Fifteen minutes maximum. That’s how long it takes to finish drying my hair and have it finished off in a silky & largely straight, frizz free finish – from the very first use onwards [using the paddle brush, oval brush or concentrator nozzle]. There is also a auto-wrap curling head, so I’ve been living my best mermaid haired life
The dryer/styler is lightweight and the size & shape of the handle is easy to grip and the entire process of finishing drying & styling my hair has been reduced by 50 minutes. I usually avoid hugely hyped products because I feel that they almost never live up to my expectations, but this is one of those rare exceptions. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw the price, but the ease & speed of the drying/styling process, paired with the awesome results are well worth the cost – I use this almost daily and it will last for years.

I’d thought about getting it for a while before finally going for it and I’m SO glad I did. I have naturally curly hair, prone to going really frizzy and this is just perfect.
I went for this because I had been considering the main competitor for some time, but the high price had made me hesitant. I believed that this offered the same benefits at a significantly lower cost after watching numerous video reviews. I am extremely pleased now that I have had time to test all of the features. I’ve been tempted by this kind of hair tool because it reduces heat damage because I have very stubborn, thick, and coarse 2C hair that typically requires a lot of heat to get into any style. The tool is beautifully presented in a case that separates everything into sections. My hair is held securely by the curlers, which result in lovely, supple waves. When applied without product, they do tend to fall off quickly, but when applied with a blow dry spray, they lasted all evening. The blow dryer is a work of art because it dries hair quickly and, when combined with the smoothing paddle brush, removes the typical halo of frizz that remains after drying. The fact that the wand bends into a traditional, right-angled dryer is something I adore. This lessens the strain on my shoulder and arm fatigue. Despite being larger than usual, the oval brush glides effortlessly through my hair, giving it bounce and volume. And quickly; drying my hair typically takes me more than 45 minutes. With this, you can finish styling your wet hair in 20 to 30 minutes. My only complaint is that I would have preferred a smaller oval or round brush, but it is not significant enough to deduct one star. I was able to achieve a lovely curly blowout thanks to my prior stylist. Although it does leave hair swishy and with volume, this one is too big for waves that are defined. I hope that additional attachments will soon be available for purchase. This is definitely something I’d suggest. It costs a lot, but it is much less expensive than the closest comparable product on the market.
This hair dryer and hair styler is fantastic.
I have never really made much effort with hair styles as I’ve always felt i don’t have the right tools nor the time in the morning.
This set comes with everything in one neat little box.
The main handle is very well designed and feels durable. The rotating mechanism to switch between hair dryer and attaching a brush is easy to use and feels sturdy.
The different heat settings and air flow is great and you can really feel the difference between the various settings.
There is a rounded brush, which adds volume to the hair.
There’s a pale brush that does straighten the hair as well. I feel it straightens well, not as straight as using straighteners but it does feel like it causes less damage to hair.
I have not yet used the curling function but am looking forward to it.
Initially I thought this hair dryer was really expensive, but the flexibility it provides, as well as the quality is well worth the money.
Also to add, there’s a comprehensive instruction booklet with guidance on which settings to use for each desired hairstyle.
Like most people drying and styling hair involved regular hairdryers and a straightening tool.
This Shark tool is like someone reinvented the wheel.
Quality first – it’s up there with Dyson but a fraction of the cost.
It feels great to use, everything clicks and slides with expensive noises.
For styling, it uses the Coanda effect, which means that the way the air if directed means that objects, in this case hair, follow a certain direction. This is how the device curls the hair.
There is a left and right piece depending on what direction/side you’re using.
For drying it’s insanely quick.
And when you turn it off it just stops, no residual whirling.
Honestly this piece of kit is amazing.
My wife loves this hairdryer. We have owned it almost a month as at first it took a while for her to get used to it, being a new type of hairdryer it does mean re-learning some techniques to get the most out of it but once you have the hang of it it is super fast at drying and can do multiple styles.
The attachments clip on well and aren’t loose, the speed and heat controls work very well so there is no hair damage and the styling book is a good base to start from.
Only downside is there is no storage bag or holder for all the attachments so you need extra room in a drawer for all the attachments as they are quite bulky.
Overall it is a fantastic dryer but takes a little while to get the hang of using it to its full potential.
I think this shark flexstyle is a great product. I tried the dyson airwrap in the past, but from what I remember, it was not much better than the flexstyle. Which makes it a great alternative as it costs about half of the dyson.
There are a few attachments included and the build quality seems pretty good. Using it is actually really easy and I didn’t have any issue.
Overall I think it’s a great product and I would recommend it to anyone. knowing that it’s from a good brand and that it checks the temperature 1000 times per second makes me feel safer using it.

I’ve seen videos on this and thought to myself it’s just a hairdryer but after using this for a couple of weeks I now get it. It’s sleek and modern and really simple to use. It comes nicely wrapped in the box which you get all the attachments to get the hair you’ve dreamed of. Dries my hair really quickly. Temperature is perfect and is great for my super damaged bleached hair. I wouldn’t go back to an average hair dryer after this. I would definitely recommend

Literally,you can do so much with one dryer that I have no words.
My worst nightmare since having 2 kids is drying my hair ,not even talking about styling as that would be a treat if I get the time to do that .
With this drier I am stunned by its power and how fast it can dry the hair up and all that without too much heat and therefore causing damage to my already sensible hair.
You get to dry it for about 90% and the leave the rest to get dry while styling.
Even getting the perfect natural curls ,couldn’t be much easier.

Whether straight ,natural or natural curly ,this hair drier can do it all ,which means at the end of the month it will save you a lot of on hair salons.
Yes ,it might be a bit pricey but you get what you pay for and as I said ,you will recover from the hair salons bills.
It is easy to operate,it comes with clear instructions for each feature and hairstyle.

I found it dried my very long wet hair in just 5 minutes, although on the highest speed, it’s a little like being stood in gale force winds!
It’s exceptionally easy to use, although does take a little practice to use the various attachments to achieve the best results. I highly recommend reading through the very helpful styling booklet that comes with it.
The attachments are very easy to fit and change, and for most styles, it’s advised that hair should be at least 90% dry before styling.
The paddle brush leaves hair soft and silky and also tames curls ( as you can see in the photo).
The auto-wrap curlers are a joy to use – I love watching the hair wrap around the curler on its own! Curls need setting afterwards, as unlike heated curlers, hot air styling doesn’t hold for as long without assistance. I use a spray gel for this – it holds well without having to disturb the curls too much.
I really love the oval brush, as my hair is quite fine and I find this attachment gives it the volume it tends to lack normally.
Although the FlexStyle doesn’t damage hair in the same way as regular heated stylers, as the hot air never gets burning hot, anything involving heat has the potential to do some damage, even small. If you’re styling your hair regularly, it’s always best to use heat protective spray.
So, was there anything I didn’t like? Thankfully not too much really, but if I’m picky…..
The dryer is loud – very loud lol. If you’re expecting something quiet, then this isn’t for you. It’s like a small jet engine going off in your ear!
The lack of an included storage case is disappointing for the price. This is a gorgeous piece of hair styling luxury and anyone who’s made the investment will surely want to keep this in perfect condition. Shark sell the case on their website for 25, but at the time of writing this, it was out of stock 🙁
A heat resistant glove would’ve been a nice addition, especially when changing the attachments, which do get quite hot after using.
Overall it’s a wonderful, all in one hair companion that works fabulously well and leaves hair in lovely condition. It’s definitely worth the investment – I just wish it came with a case.
