I was very pleased with the fast delivery. Very easy to set up and the performance was great. Perfect for me and even came with a cute little panda keyring.
Would definitely recommend buying.
I had previously bought some Apple AirTags, which are great and work fine, but found when wanted few more have significantly increased in price so I thought would try these as had good reviews on Amazon. They pair easily and work great with the ‘Find My’ feature on my iPhone, just like the AirTag. One advantage they have over the AirTag is the design includes a hole in one corner so don’t need to buy a case. The only issue I’ve had is that the HHTag has a button you use to do a factory reset or pairing and I put one in the lining of my wallet and when in my jeans pocket the button gets easily pressed and you hear it beeping away if gets any pressure on it, and even did a factory reset while on bus journey. I’ve sorted by opening the case, as described for battery replacement, and removed the case button by unclipping, then covering the hole with small piece white insulation tape, but would suggest to designers the button should be recessed and use a biro or toothpick when need to.
I found them so good value have bought second set for my family to use.
Put this thing on my key ring and it works well. Doesn’t have the pointy arrow thing for exact location but can emit a loud enough beep to find it. I can rarely find my keys in the morning so this has been great.
I used this on my cat’s collar, and it was fantastic for a couple of weeks. I always knew where he was! Unfortunately with the latest apple update the device is no longer recognized. I had to stump up three times the price for a real AirTag.
I’ve previously had 5 tiles on the go at anyone time. Any set of keys we have has had one attached as keys go missing multiple times a day in our house.
What frustrated me about the Tile, is that you could be stood right next to your keys, but the ap would say they were out of range or not findable.
Secondly, you can’t change the batteries, so you have to throw the tile away once it runs out of battery!
A few of our tiles ran out of battery recently and I took a chance to change brand and decided on this product. It was dead easy to setup, and it uses “find my” on the iphone rather than its own ap.
So far its managed to find the keys every time, and also when the battery dies these are replaceable! As it should be!!
Because it uses “find my” for apple, if you leave the house or leave your keys at work, you will get a notification to say the item you have tagged has been left behind. Really useful
I’ll update the review in a few months, but so far very pleased.
Much cheaper than the mainstream brands as well
I looked at this after looking at Apple AirTag I have both a iPhone and an old android phone. And with a holiday that was forthcoming and experience of my wife having her handbag stollen on two previous holidays ten years ago I thought I’d buy it three for the price of one on Apple tag . So I gave these HH tech ago you get the tag and a ribbon tie and a little panda keyring . When we first went on holiday my wife had a new handbag I had bought her for her birthday I told her I was placing the tracker in it and what it was for . However on holiday I noticed she had her bag with her and the tracking device showed up at hotel as we were in Prague. On the way back to hotel I used it as an aid to get back to hotel with map but asked her why she had taken it out she thought it was a tag in the bag and had taken it out and placed it in the bin luckily on return I sounded the bleep and found it in the waste bin.
So it truly works my wife know not to remove it now I carry one in my bag and because I misplace my keys now and then it helps me find them too.
The great thing about these is you can label it and place an emoji for each and it’s just works a treat . A cr 2032 I think lithium button battery is supplied with you pull the tag it bleeps to show it’s active and you pair with you iPhone then label it and emoji id
I personally recommend this product no regrets
Great item and high quality. Very happy with it! Works perfectly and so happy with it. Perfect because I travel a lot so it helps me find my luggage easily. Makes my trips smoother and easier to use. Great connectivity.
I recently purchased the Smart Tag Apple Key Finder, and I must say, it’s been an absolute game-changer. As someone who has a habit of misplacing keys, wallets, and even their phone, this product has been a lifesaver.
When it comes to value for money, the Smart Tag delivers outstandingly. With a pack of three at a fraction of the cost of a single AirTag, you’re getting incredible bang for your buck. Plus, it comes with all the benefits of Apple’s Find My app, making it even more enticing.
What I love most about the Smart Tag is its similar working principles to the AirTag. It utilizes advanced crowd-finding technology, just like its more expensive counterpart. This means that if I ever lose an item with the Smart Tag attached, I can rely on the vast network of Apple users to help me locate it. The precision and accuracy are impressive, and it’s saved me countless hours of searching.
Setting up the Smart Tag was a breeze; it seamlessly integrated with my iPhone’s Find My app, and I was tracking my items within minutes. The design is sleek, and it doesn’t add much bulk to my keys or wallet, which is a big plus.
In conclusion, the Smart Tag Apple Key Finder is a remarkable product that provides exceptional value for money. Its similarity in working principles to the AirTag makes it a cost-effective alternative without compromising on performance. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to keep track of their valuables with ease and peace of mind.
Back in early May 2021 Apple released the original AirTag. I’d been looking forward to this release as I saw a lot of opportunity for the product, and having pre-ordered it and receiving it on release day I carried out a number of tests and submitted a video and written review to Amazon. If you search for the single AirTag you should find my review at the top, which goes into a lot of detail that I won’t regurgitate here. But, the conclusion I came to was that I was actually left a little disappointed with the AirTag. There were some failings that were very un-Apple, and a couple which had Apple written all over them. This third-party Smart Tag, however, addresses several of those failings.
First of all, let me say that I wasn’t expecting great things from the Smart Tag. I wasn’t even sure if the claim that it worked seamlessly with Apple’s Find My network would be true. I’m very pleased to say that not only does it genuinely work well with Find My, I’ve been surprised with how good the Smart Tag is.
At 34.99 at time of testing for a pack of three, that’s 11.66 each (they are available singularly at 14.99). A genuine Apple AirTag is 29.99 each, or if you buy a multi-pack of 4 can go down to a low of 24.75 each. So, it’s at least half the price of an Apple AirTag. That’s a good start. It doesn’t feel as premium as the AirTag, certainly. The AirTag has a definite Apple feel about it. Even if it didn’t have an Apple logo on it, you’d know it was by Apple. The Smart Tag is a cheaper feeling light plastic. No slick polished stainless steel here. The AirTag is IP67 water and dust resistant, the Smart Tag mentions “daily water proof”, whatever that is, but doesn’t commit to a classification.
Batteries in both are replaceable, the Smart Tag using a readily available CR2032 battery so you should be sure of a decent life span. Some similar tags are sealed units with none-replaceable batteries.
To pair the device to your iPhone or iPad you open the Find My app, go to Items along the bottom and click the “+” symbol. Remove the pull-out tab on the Smart Tag to activate the battery and the phone should detect it. If not, a long press of the button on the Smart Tag will put it into pairing mode. All three Smart Tags paired quickly with my iPhone. You can give them all personalised names and an emoji. They’ll then show up on the map in the Items section.
All of this worked perfectly, and I’ve been able to activate the tracking sound in the Find My app and locate my keys as I would expect.
Up until this point, the SmartTag and the AirTag perform similarly. But this is where my criticisms of the AirTag began. The first one, and a big one, was that the AirTag has no means of attaching it to your keys. There’s no keyring hole. In a very Apple-like move, it relies on you buying a case to provide you means of attaching it to keys or a bag. Apple’s only cases were as much as the AirTag itself, and I wasn’t impressed by that. I bought a third-party one from Amazon at a much cheaper price. But, with the Smart Tag, you don’t need to do that. There’s a keyring hole on the top, and I had it attached to my keys in a moment.
My other major criticism of the AirTag was that the sound it emits to locate it when lost is so quiet. You needed to be standing very close to it to hear if you were outside, especially on a breezy day. The Smart Tag has a much louder speaker in it, and is much easier to find.
The Find My function is better than standard Bluetooth trackers as it uses the large network of other iPhone/iPad users to ping signals off of nearby devices to find your lost device. Obviously, it’s only useful if there are other Apple users in the vicinity, but that’s still a better chance of finding it than just Bluetooth alone. I use our AirTag as an extra tracker on our dog and it’s always done a good job of letting me know where she is, or was last seen at the very least.
So, my conclusion is that while the AirTag was good but had some failings I didn’t like, the Smart Tag takes most of the good elements of the AirTag and improves on the worst bits. As such, I’m in a rare position where I very much prefer the third-party product to the original Apple one.
These come in a 3-pack, are small, lightweight and easy to set up. The tracking is brilliant, and the beep really does help you home in on an inanimate object. Hopefully, they’ll help my husband keep track of his house keys. He’s forever losing them! I am suitably impressed! They even came with a little keyring to get you started. My daughter had them linked up in no time. Can definitely recommend!
I used to lose my bank card as I didn’t carry a purse, now I have a constant fear of losing all my cards. I have autism and dyspraxia so my fears aren’t unfounded. I lose things all the time and have no way to find them should they not be in the house.
These connected to my iPad and iPhone with no problems at all, my car key is now tagged and, along with my purse can be traced, they’re the only things of any value I take out of the house other than my phone which I can track already.
They’re discreet enough, the cord is slightly too long for what I needed but that’s a minor hassle. These neat little devices have a one year battery life, the batteries are readily available and look like they’re easy to replace. There’s a tool in each box to facilitate replacement.
The price seems reasonable as they definitely work, they’d work well on pets, my dogs don’t tend to escape but for the price these are worth having for peace of mind if you have cats or a dog that does like to get out!
Super easy set up, clear instructions, decent quality feel to them. Definitely a 5 star item.
Cheaper alternative to apple tags. It is very simple to set up and use via the find me app. Attach to your keys and other belongings to make it easier to track and find.
Your phone will send alerts and can be seen via the map. It is very useful to have and easy to use. I would recommend it if you don’t want the expense of Apple Air tags.
The HH Tech Apple Find my compatible tag appears to be a fully compatible, cheaper, alternative to apples own AirTag. Out of the box there is a removable cr2032 we battery installed. There is also a short lanyard you can use to attach the tag to your keychain. The tag itself is a better shape than the apple version; and has a cut out you can thread a key ring through. When you have it on your keys; adding it to apples find my is a doddle; you add it to find me with Add Other Item; it found the tag instantly for me; and after that it has the most important features of the first party product.
Your phone can alert you if you leave it behind.
You can see it on the map in find me.
If you ask it to play a sound it does.
It shows the remaining power in the tag.
The only notable thing it doesn’t support is the high precision finding mode AirTag have that gets you the last few meters to the tag. Most of the time if you are close enough the beep will be loud enough.
It’s cheaper and gives you 90% of what an air tag can do; you don’t need to buy a case to attach it to your keys; I can’t see a reason not to get one.
At first, I can’t detect it through my phone when trying to pair it. There’s two kinds of sound when you push the button. First is when you press it once, you will hear a loud crack noise, that’s when I was able to pair it with my phone. The second tone, is when you press the button longer, you’ll hear like 2-3 soft beep sounds. You’ll also have to turn on the bluetooth and allow for the location to be used when pairing. The leaflet with the details and pictures on how to operate the device is very helpful for me. When trying to find the smart tag once paired, the location is accurate. You can also easily pry open the tag to change or remove the battery inside using the triangular tool provided.
This can be accessed via the find me app on your apple devices and has similar functionality as the apple own brand tags but at a less expensive price
The size is easy to add to your wallet of keys too
I wanted this really only to keep tags on my luggage whilst flying and it is perfect for this. I don’t want notifications when I’m at home
I think better than the Apple Airtag, which I have also used as this one only activates when you need it. Hopefully that will mean an improvement on the battery life which I think is a big drawback of the Apple produc
A simple. neat product, easy to set up and tuck away in the back pack.
Works a treat, plus a great phone charger cable as a gift and a key ring, a big thank you!
Will buy again for the holiday luggage!
I have an AirTag for tracking my cat and wanted one for our dog and for our cars . These were better value and connected really easily, they are also louder than the AirTag and the tracking element is excellent. Highly recommended.
