How does it work?
Cool air comes in the bottom vents to feed the fire and enters between the two layers of stainless steel to be heated up. Having cool air come in the bottom vents allows the fire to always plenty of oxygen. Since more oxygen can reach the fuel source, fire wood is burned more efficiently than traditional fire pits. The air that enters the double wall warms up and is pushed out over the fire. This creates a second burn that burns off the small particles of wood that would have been smoke.

We ordered the stainless, but received the beige one. We used it several times. with pellets. Haven’t used it with wood yet, but it works great for camping and at home smores 🙂

Cela fesait un moment que je surveillait cette marque. Et aprs avoir acheter le mesa xl j’ai vite compris que je ne prendrai plus jamais une autre marque de brasero. Pour ce modle la compacit est la primeur. Il tiens dans un sac a dos capable de chauffer une table. Le nettoyage est simple, tout s’embote pour le rangement. Le revtement tiens trs bien. Pour la fume il est vrai quil n’y en n’a pas une fois que le feu est parti mais si vous avais le malheur d’avoir un bois trop humide la comme tout le temps ca va fum. Seul dfaut pour moi il manque d’un petit support pour faire chauffer une pole.
Bello e comodo, materiali e fattura molto buona e curata, la maggiore comodit l’ho trovata per la possibilit di usare come combustibile anche il pellet al posto dei tronchetti di legna. Pienamente soddisfatto!
I bought this on a whim for my small patio, and figured I’d probably end up regretting the price tag. Unfortunately for me it’s a keeper. It burns hot, which means fast – but that’s kind of perfect with heat a few sticks and twenty minutes or so.
Was ein klasse Teil! Lsst sich sehr einfach entznden (sowohl mit Holz als auch mit Pellets) und erzeugt ein sehr gemtliches Licht, Lagerfeuer-Feeling am Tisch!
Auch fr Marshmallows oder kleine Wrstchen grillen geeignet.
Einziger Wermutstropfen: Egal mit was befeuert wird, man ist fast pausenlos damit beschftigt nachzulegen. Das Ding feuert ganz schn was durch. Lohnt sich aber!
Mit Pellets ist es ein schnes Tischfeuer fr den Herbst,kann ich jetzt schon empfehlen etwas teurer in der Anschaffung, aber der Sack Pellets fr 6-7 keine Thema,einfach Pellets reinkippen von oben mit Grillanznder anbrenn und danach mit Pellets nachflle
Hallo, jetzt gehren wir auch zur solo Stove Gemeinde. Wir sitzen gerne unter unserem Terrassendach. Hatte erst berlegt ein Ethanol Brenner zu kaufen. Also Tisch Feuer. Aber da wir sowieso mit Holz heizen, also mit einem Ofen. Kann ich hier super die Rinde und alle kleinen minireste verbrennen. Und habe tolles Feuer auf dem Tisch was uns wrmt und ja es qualmt leicht. Je nachdem was man hineinwirft. Aber nicht halb so doll, als wenn man ein eine feuerschale benutzt. Es kriegt er zu eher zuviel Luft und brennt super schnell ab. Wenn man aussen einen Ring htte der die Lcher zu macht. Knnte man die Flamme wahrscheinlich sogar noch toll steuern. Wir sind zufrieden. Auch wenn das Ding echt teuer ist. Qualitt ist gut.
Wenn wir nach Dnemark fahren, knnten wir das kleine Teil gut einpacken. Und auch dort auf der Terrasse nutzen. Daher haben wir keinen grossen gekauft, den wir im PKW noch mitnehmen mssten. Und er ist wirklich von unten kalt. Der Kork auf dem Video ist nur Vorsicht gewesen, da wir noch wenig Erfahrung haben.
This item is great and easy to use. We place it on our patio table on top of a heat pad and it provides perfect warmth to a chilly fall evening. Plus when it becomes dark it just might spark a little romanticism!!!
I didn’t want to invest in a larger smokeless fire pit. This needs more attention to keep lit, but with a little practice and using small pieces of wood, I have been able to keep it going for more than an hour by stirring the coals to get them to settle. I’m happy with the purchase.
COOZOOM wins for size but I plan to use it on the floor not a table top. The build quality is better on the Solo but only slightly, doesn’t really warrant double the cost. The pull down legs on the COOZOOM are a bit flimsy. Not sure they will hold up over time but you don’t really need them. Nylon carry bags are same same.
I’m keeping the COOZOOM. If Solo ever decides to come out with one this size I will definitely consider purchasing …. maybe a Mesa XXL.
It’s super portable, pretty easy to use, and is a nice addition to our outdoor table. But it’s more decorative than it is a heat source. We’ve got a number of Solo products and we just wanted something decorative that we could occasionally use for ambience. It’s perfect for that.
I am a Solo Stove addict, I have a Ranger with all the accessories & surround. I wanted a Mesa for those nights that I just want a little burn. It’s fantastic. Cat litter pellets work great once burned down I added small pieces of wood. It’s a must as an addition to the range but also great for sitting around a table with friends toasting marshmallows. Get it you won’t be disappointed
I love the look of the ceramic coating, we chose Ash. The heat is gives off is fab. Very warm and enough for 4 people sat around. Took it camping with us and was ideal.

Wenn der Solostove mit Pellets betrieben werden soll, maximal zwei fingerbreit Pellets einfllen und in die Mitte einen Holzwolle Feuerstarter drcken und anznden.
Warten bis die Nachverbrennung einsetzt, dann in kleinen Mengen nachfeuern.
I wanted a “fire pit” that could be used on the patio, under a gazebo. This is so easy to light and keep going and gives out just enough heat for 4 people. The fire quickly dies when you stop feeding it (so no more waiting for hours for it to die down) and the actual mess XL unit cleans up really nicely. Have found that pellets seem to work better than wood for heat.
I bought this for my son-in-law and his family and they used it the day it arrived. It’s perfect for their patio and does not smoke if used correctly. My daughter said once she didn’t empty the ash and overfilled it with pellets and it smoked, so lesson learned. Hasn’t happened again.
Love it, we already have the larger Bonfire version so know how good these work. Bought this to go under a shelter I’d built, didn’t want to melt the plastic roof so the Mesa XL is perfect size for the job. Used with both kindling and cat litter pellets. Bit safer for the kids to roast marshmallows too and doesn’t use as much wood. Comes with a nice stand and bag. Looking forward to packing it up for a beach trip soon.
Great table top stove, lots of heat given off, we are currently using pellets but you could use would if you prefer, no smoke or smell.
Would highly recommend this product.
