great compilation and very well optimised fun way to go back to the original sonics
The only issue is that the 12 game gear games are not on the cart and you need to use the code in the game box to download them. The other odd thing is i think it would of been better to add some of the master system verions of sonic instead of the gamegear as these are inferior to the MS version. some of the gamegear version have much smaller screens so you cant see as much and seconfly some of the game gear games are prone to slowdowns
It’s the first classic sonic without emulation on the switch, it feels natural and beautiful like the original was back on the mega drive. The image quality is amazing and the controls are brilliant, this is the best remake ever, I will cherish it forever. I’m a long time sonic fan, I played from day 1 when it was originally released back in my childhood and it’s amazing that we can finally play we Amy

I bought this for an amazing school report for my 8 year old haven’t seen him all weekend as his been playing it none stop only time I’ve seen him is when he wanted to talk to his dad about all the emeralds his collected haha
This is a collection of the first 3 sonic the hedgehog games. You can play the classic mode (like the genesis) or an anniversary version where the graphics are a bit cleaner. They are not updated though so it doesn’t look like a new game, it still looks like classic sonic.
If you want to play original games this is the easiest way.
The selling point here is that you can download 16 game gear versions of Sonic. This is great and the first time I have ever seen many of these games as I think they were Japanese exclusives.
I would definitely recommend this game, but be aware that if you already have the original sonic games then you are spending 35 on game gear games, so it might not be what you are looking for.
Sonic was the first game I remember playing from my childhood on the Sega systems, so I was happy to see a collection of all the classic sonic games I remember playing all remastered in 16:9 but also able to play at the original ratio. The additional modes are also fun as it gives you more options to play from.
The only issue is that the 12 game gear games are not on the cart and you need to use the code in the game box to download them along with a playable character (amy), I was hoping for all games to be access on the cart and not some through download code.
Still this is a great collection and its good playing them again, considering how much people want for the original sega carts for most of them.
