Bought a new TV for the Bedroom, which was being wall mounted, and needed something to house a DVD Player. This Floating Shelf Bracket was ideal and easy to install. Looks brilliant for the price.
I think the wall stand is good but
XBOX ONE 2014 original with 360 controllers in pic yet i hav the One X 2017 slimmer yet it barely fits photos are not accurate miss leading not trust wothy price shud be lowe
I have a double one for my on-wall tv which holds the tv box and dvd player. I also have a single one on the opposite wall which holds my router (keeps it off the floor)
The actual shelf is really good quality & when its on the wall its really sturdy so cant fault it for that!
The actual size though my sons “X Box One” just fits on it so its really snug on the shelf hardly any room front back or at the sides.
Just be aware because of the wires at the back of the or a console it can push your console a bit further forward on the shelf so just be aware of that when measuring up!
The shelves look great but they don’t hold much weight on those brackets under the glass shelves and they are not 100% level straight so always worried especially about the controllers will fall down.
Instructions were not 100% accurate but its easy enough to work out.
The shelves clamp in place and need tightening alot so they dont move.
The cable tidy element is tricky to use once installed to the wall and your devices are on the shelf, but works as advertised.
I have to say it looks very good and stylish. This Suptek 3 Floating Shelf Wall Bracket does make your living room very beautiful. I did not give 5 star because the plates are made of glass and this can be very fragile. I screwed a bit hard and I felt like it broke. Please note the plates are attached with just a screw and can move easy left or right if that screw it not tightened properly where I saw the problem. A bit too much and you can break it. Apart from that, it’s beautiful.
As you can see from the pictures, I have a Netgear X8500 router (weight 3.18kg) on the top shelf, a Virgin superhub 3.0 modem (weight 990g) on the middle shelf, and a QNAP four bay NAS (weight with all four bays filled 5.8KG) on the bottom shelf, for a total of 9.97kg of the rated 24kg load rating (41.5% of total load rating)
I’ve sat the NAS sideways, even though the shelf is wide enough to sit it the right way round. The reason for this is that even sideways and pushed up to the inside edge of the shelf it is bending slightly.
The spirit level shows how much out of true the under 6kg NAS is bending the shelf. The shelf is 100% level with nothing on it. I would not have expected a shelf rated for 8kg to show this much movement when not under full load. Hopefully the slight bending will not translate into a shelf collapse, since the NAS and 24tb of drives inside it are about 1K worth of equipment!
I will be checking the angle of the shelf on a weekly basis to see if it increases or not. I’m hoping that it’s just a natural bit of flex under load, and it won’t increase, but I would rather it was not showing any flex at all. I do feel that the arms which support the shelves could have been longer so as to provide more load balancing.
Other than that the unit itself is perfectly fine, with reasonably adjustable shelves with plenty of head height (the NAS is 190mm tall and the Virgin modem is 200mm tall). The black plastic and glass fits in well with anything else the same style. It’s reasonably easy to construct, although the instructions are not particularly well written out (example: it tells you to mark holes for four screws but then tells you only to insert two of them if mounting on concrete or brick, which is clearly an incorrect translation from original text).
I’d have given it five stars, particularly given it was not expensive, if it wasn’t for that bending of the shelf with it only being loaded with 41% of it’s maximum load. I’ll definitely be keeping a nervous eye on it for a few weeks, or months.
