international travel and the need to charge things larger than your phone or multiple USB powered devices? This gadget works great! Once you get the plug inside (there was quite some resistance when plugging in the laptop) it works flawlessly and we call get to charge our devices while the computer is also running 🙂
Very versatile with all the different options, perfect for travel, whether it be work or leisure 🙂
This clever little adapter us really compact and can handle charging multiple devices at the same time from 1 plug. I have a kindle as well as a phone, an Mp3 player and Bluetooth speaker. Despite taking multiple adapters on holiday, I could do everything with just this one and even plug the bedside light back in as th front and back are multiway adapters too.
Just take this adapter and your USB leads. It’s all you need. It has 2 USB 2.0 and 2 USB C ports as well as the standard 3-pin or other US or European socket on the back.
Went to Scotland for 2 weeks and the universal converter that I have didn’t make it from the bigger backpack into the smaller one I decided to take. What to do!!! Went to amazon.co.uk and had this Tessan Plug Adapter delivered to the first place that we were staying for more than one night. UK is smaller than US (where we live), so the couple of things that I needed were delivered the next day, reliably and on-time! The adapter was perfect and allowed for one item to be plugged into the wall, while simultaneously charging up to four other USB devices (phone, headphones, 2 portable chargers). Cannot beat this for the price, so if you need one, this is it!
Bought two of these for myself and daughter to charge devices with on a trip to Japan. Liked the fact that I could use it as a UK charger at the hotel by Heathrow for an early flight as well as in Japan. The fact that it also doubles as an A/C socket that I could use to charge the toothbrush as well as the four USB charging points was a bonus. Worked for the month we were in Japan and will certainly go back with us for the next visit.
I got this for a trip in South America and it was excellent. The design is sturdy and although it is fairly heavy it doesnt take up too much space in your bag.
The variety of adapters included is great if you are visiting places that have varied outlet requirements. A big positive is the 2-prong adapter sticks far enough out to reach into outlets that have a depression in them. Other adapters I have had dont reach in far enough so it can be quite annoying. All the adapters have a nice slide to them and didnt get stuck or jammed once.
It doesnt get too hot either and the 4 USB ports mean that lots can be charged at once. I managed to charge an electric shaver, 2 phones and a powerbank at the same time, perfect for when a hotel only has limited outlets available.
Very good price and excellent performance, I highly recommend.
Used this to travel and you only need to really pack one plug with you! You can use the USB slots to charge things and adjust it for any travel zone. The only slight disadvantage is that sometimes in some plugs it didn’t feel like it plugged right in and sat a little loose, although this doesn’t affect charging time.
I have nothing similar to compare it with. Does the job, quality is fine. Fast charge is a little slower but to be expected. Handy plug to have. No problems so far.
Brought this with me to both Japan and Thailand, works really well both places. Really convenient with the USB ports. Was a little bit heavy sometimes for the wall with the plug, so would be a bit shaky.
Recently travelled to Finland and plug ports were limited, so having this for a couples trip was perfect, and charging was quick and easy. Will likely be buying a second for future holidays.
This is a really useful adapter block. Saves having to take multiple adapters for all your chargers as this has several usb ports and normal plug ports. A great bit of ki
My trip to the Philippines was made so much easier thanks to the TESSAN universal travel adaptor. It was absolutely brilliant! I plugged in all sorts of devices, and everything worked seamlessly, including the handy USB ports for charging my phone on the go. This adapter is a must-have for any traveler.
Currently with 9% off at 19.99 this is bit more expensive than similar products but this one does feel a bit smoother when sliding prongs in and out. This one has 3 levers as opposed to 4 lever on other models, this is because with this Tessan Adapter, as I show in the VIDEO, you can twist the AUS/USA/JP prongs by hand, no need for an additional separate lever. Power handling is decent, AMPs are shared from the USB ports so the marked Amps output is in total. But all values are clearly stated, per port and total so everything is explicit. It looks and feel like well-made but it is hard to tell if it is better than other similar adapters of similar or slightly lower price hence I stopped at 4 stars.
This is a pretty standard universal adapter, good build quality and has worked for my trips between the US and UK.
With two USB-C and two USB-A ports, it’s pretty versatile, ready to power up almost any device out there. However, it’s an adapter, not a voltage converter – so, big appliances are a no-go.
Worked well on the place also, giving me lots of USB charging I highly reccomend this for the price you really cannot go wrong. Thanks!
This modern type of plug adapter is a USB charger too, making it very useful as an all-in-one device for charging phones, cameras, watches, tablets, fans, etc. for travelling. Being able to charge four devices at the same time means that for most travellers this one adapter is all that will be needed.
Four USB ports are provided, 2 x A and 2 x C types.
Charging rates aren’t the highest at 5V/4.2A 21W maximum across all four, but each single USB-A port can deliver 12W at 5V/2.4A and each USB-C port 5V/3A 15W. For quicker charging you’d need a separate QC or PD charger, which can be plugged into the suitable adapter socket
The adapter will connect to mains sockets in many countries including Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, China, Japan and Thailand. (The best advice if travelling elsewhere is to check online for what’s needed. The web page text warns that it won’t be compatible with South Africa and India.)
I like the fact that this adapter is 10A fused with a spare included in the body. The rated maximum power load is 10A, 110V-1100W, 250V-2500W. So most small domestic devices such as fans, heaters, etc., will work with the adapter provided they don’t add up to more than 10 Amps.
One thing to be remembered is that this adapter cannot convert voltage!! Only if your devices are compatible with voltages between 100V and 250V should they be used in countries where you’re not sure about the mains electrical supply. All electrical devices sold in the UK have to be marked with a voltage rating. Look online for advice about different country’s voltages.
The adapter is small, light and neat, with no pins sticking out. Each set of pins can be slid out separately – you can’t slide more than one set at a time. Once pushed out the pins lock to allow them to be inserted into a mains socket properly. Pressing the slider in releases it to retract.
For just over 18 I think this is very good value. The quality and design are excellent and the enclosed multilingual manual has all the details needed to use it safely. The device and packaging are marked with UKCA, CE and FCC logos.
Compact universal charging adapter. Used it recently in EU and worked perfectly as intended. The ports are plenty for my needs and although not fast charging but the main socket is.
Overall good quality and ideal for travel.
This is a fairly standard modern power adapter for travelling; you use sliders on the side to extend whatever pins you need to connect up, and this is mirrored on each side of the device, so you can also use this in your native country for just the USB ports on the underside; there are 2 USB-A and 2 USB-C with a slightly higher output amperage. There is a glut of these on the market and they’re all fairly similar; this is one of the slightly more expensive ones, but it nonetheless behaves exactly as you’d expect.
This travel adapter is super useful. Having 4 separate plugs for charger is massive help, you can charge phone, watch and powerbank simultaneously so you never runout of juice. Every trip I did was always about charging electronic devices only, I never used travel adapters for anything else like using iron for example. This travel adapter fits right in my needs and expectations. You have on board 2x usb-A and 2x usb-C so doesn’t matter which charger connection you have, it will support it. Travel adapter is also versatile, it can be used in literally whole world. It covers all countries thanks to interchangeable connections and plugs. To make sure it covers you in any situation they build in second compartment for spare fuse. When one with blow you can easy swap it and carry on using it by first eliminating issue what blows it of course. I love it and can’t wait to test it for upcoming Japan trip.
We have used this on a trip to Paris and it performed well. The 2 USBC and USB ports mean I don’t need to take multiple adaptors. I will be using this on an upcoming trip tot the US and it will be interesting to see how well it performs there too.
I have several trips planned in the next 12 months and will be able to update the review if I come across any unforeseen issues, but all in all this appress to be a product that reduced the need for multiple adaptors.
This adapter is good for the worldwide travellers, it is included UK, USA, EU. and Australia use, 2 usb and 2 usb c slots , easy to switch between countries. The switch button is very smoothly moving, I m very happy with it and definitely will take it with my world wide holidays!
The travel adaptor was used in the EU recently and there was no issues with charging 2 devices simultaneously using both USB ports.
Handy having a spare 10amp fuse stored within the adaptor should one fuse fail whilst on holiday.
One thing you need to be mindful of is that the travel plug adaptor does NOT convert the voltage so you need to be aware of any high powered appliances you have.
I recently requested a sample of a different charger that I will be using shortly on a trip. This has been packed away safely in a suitcase. I have requested a sample of the Tessan Adapter/Charger, this time with the object of using it at home. The main differences between the two chargers is that the original had four USB and one USB C outlet, whilst the Tessan Adapter has 2 USB C and 2 USB outlets.
The Tessan adapter arrived in a small cardboard case. Unlike some other travel adapters, Tessan do not provide a canvas type carry case. This makes it less suitable to pack in a suitcase or briefcase. Like similar chargers it is a small plastic square and seems well built with strong materials. No cables are provided in the package.
A series of push out sliders offer different configurations for international power points. The Tessan has the regular US/Australia, UK and EU options. These can be locked, unlocked and then changed as needed. The sliders are a bit stiff at first, but the UK one, the only one I could test, works. At the top there is room for a standard plug – in the UK: a 3 pin plug. The three pin socket can be used whilst the Tessan adapter is charging through its’ USB ports so a plug socket is not ‘lost’ when using the adapter.
There are two USB-A outlets and two USB-C outlets. All four functioned as specified. The two middle sockets, a USB-A and USB-C seemed a little close together. I tested using reasonably thin cables and this worked. Two much thicker cables might cause an issue. The USB-C socket is rated at 15 watts output that qualifies it as a fast charger. However the maximum output from all four ports is 21W. When multiple ports are used, the total output is shared. When two or more ports are in operation, it seems unlikely that a fast charging speed can be achieved.
Once the sliders have been operated to select the plug, the only sides of the charger in use are the front, where all four outputs are located, and the top where the plug charger is located. There are no outputs on the sides, so there shouldn’t be an issue using the charger/adapter with a multi-gang extension socket.
The main limitation of the device is how many devices it can charge quickly. For low power devices it would be possible to use all four sockets simultaneously. However it is realistic to assume that if there is a need to fast charge higher power devices such as smartphones and tablets, only one of them can be charged at a time. Potential customers should be aware that the charger would take its’ own time to simultaneously charge two tablets and two smartphones.
It isn’t the charger if you are hoping to simultaneously charge multiple power hungry devices. It is a very useful travel charger, that would have been even more useful if a travel case had been included. It will remain at home, and be used as a domestic charger.
This travel adapter is great for my upcoming holiday as it’s able to adapt to most countries and also includes 2 usb C ports and 2 usb A ports as most items especially phones and tablets are now all usb connected this is a brilliant bonus to have. Based on the fact it can work in various countries including the usb ports this is really good value for money and barely takes up any room in my suitcase.
Firstly this product was provided by Amazon Vine program.
I’ve gave this 4 instead of 5 based on 2 aspects, the first being the slider is quite stiff to lock into place, the 2nd is in a way it feels flimsy so question the durability over time of excessive use..
Pros
Can use this device to convert plugs bi directionally between US/AU/UK and EU. It has the ability to charge 4 usb device (2 x usb A and 2 x usb c) at the same time or individually. It has an led on the underbelly to indicate active power. It is dual fused to support double short protection. The fuse is easilly replaced with standard fuse.
Cons
The US and AU adapter are on same slider, the sliders are stiff to lock at end and they feel realitively temperamental which raises questions on durability for prolongued use. It doesnt have a converter or switch to alter voltage.
I’d recommend this purchase if you travel or plan to travel, I’d suggest there are other products without the country compatibility that do similar or better job otherwise.
This is good universal adapter that should cover all your needs for most countries including Europe, USA, UK, Spain, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Thailand, Japan, Asia, Australia, etc., you just slide the buttons for country you want, It is well made but I would like to see it a little cheaper so If they add a cheeky little discount voucher to the 21.99 price it will make it a good buy.
