I saw this film at the cinema when it was released and enjoyed it, decided to add it to my collection. It is a perfect romantic comedy from the king and queen of rom/com George Clooney and Julia Roberts, who clearly had a great time filming this delightful film. The scenes shot in Bali are particularly stunning, and the great care in detail that the film makers went through to include the correct wedding rituals of the Balinese culture are to be applauded.
I have many films that require concentration and make you think after viewing, but sometimes you just need to watch something that just flows and is easy to watch, something to ease the mind, and this is one of those films. Even though you know at the beginning that George and Julia will get back together, going on the funny journey with them to that point in beautiful surroundings, and with some great music thrown in is worth watching.
I didn’t think that I was going to enjoy this as thought it would be too cheesy from the trailers which I had seen at the cinema but it was a really funny, feel good film and only sorry I hadn’t been to see it at the cinema for the whole cinema experience.
Enjoyed the easy interaction between Julia Roberts and George Clooney who made their dislike for each other believable perhaps because they know each other well in real life. One of a few films i’ve managed to stay engaged with – lovely scenery helped in Bali!
This film is definitely one to watch when you don’t want to work out plots or unravel twists and turns. It’s very predictable, but fun. Clooney and Roberts work well together, so make it enjoyable
Have not watched this DVD yet but I know it will be great. I just want to say “Thank you Amazon for sending it via EVRI Courier Services”. As we can no longer rely on Royal Mail – who are a positive disgrace this Christmas, well done for using EVRI. It arrived quickly, safely and with charming Courier!
Maybe you can rethink using them permanently in 2023?
Happy Christmas to you all at Amazon.
