TITLEIST Tour Soft Golf Ball
TITLEIST Tour Soft Golf Ball
About Us
The Titleist brand started with a vision – and an x-ray. The Titleist success story began one Sunday in 1932, when Phil Young, a dedicated amateur golfer and owner of a precision molded rubber company, missed a well-stroked putt in a match with his friend, who was head of the x-ray department at a local hospital. With his discovery, Phil Young persuaded Fred Bommer, a fellow MIT graduate, rubber specialist and avid golfer, to head up the Acushnet Golf Division. They set out to develop the highest quality and best performing golf ball in the world; one that would be uniform and consistent in quality, ball after ball.
It took Young and Bommer three painstaking years to perfect the first Titleist golf ball, but when it was ready in 1935, it could truthfully be introduced to club professionals and golfers as the ball made. Applying a lesson well learned, Young implemented a process check that is still in practice today: every Titleist golf ball is x-rayed.

I have been using this golf ball for the past couple of years because of the quality of the product for a reasonable price. However, over the past 6 months the price for a dozen of these golf balls has almost doubled!
Feels great driving, with a soft feel during chipping and putting. Straighter driving for me. (Matches my swing speed.) I really like this ball. Haven’t played enough to say they’ve reduced my score, even though I had a pretty good round for me the first time out.
I liked the price, and was testing against the ProVx for distance and stop ability on the greens. The ProVx is still longer and two bounce stopping power on the greens. The Tour soft is approximately, depending on the golfer 5-8 yards shorter and rolls out 6 or more feet on the greens. Still a good ball for the price.
i used to play Titleist Pro V, my handicap is average 12 (sometime lower like 8-9), but i tried this Titleist Tour Soft last game. I felt it was good enough to play with spin shots for green.
I think, Pro V1 is much better performance for distance and spin shot, of course, but this Tour Soft was good also to enjoy your sophisticated shot for better score..
I mix around my golf balls. I thought I’d give this a go. Not up to my expectations. Harder feel than I expected and distance OK. Bridgestone, Srixon, Vice and most Callaway soft golf balls performed better in the distance and feel than the Titleist. Remember, golf equipment is very personal. These could work for you.
My daughter is a competitive junior golfer with swing speed around 90 mph. We just moved her from a softer ball to this and she’s loved it so far. Great distance off the tee and spins nicely on approach shots. Compresssion is around 65 I believe. Durability is good as well. I feel like this is a good price point for a quality ball.
I am a senior citizen. As one would expect, I don’t hit it as far as my younger years. This helps people in my situation, weaker golfers who just can’t hit it that hard. I get about 10 yards more than my cheap golf balls. Feels very good when connecting on a swing. Smooth, ball flexes off the clubhead faster with less effort needed. While pros may kill it, as a senior citizen, I like the extra distance I get too, as I know I don’t have a lot of power. This ball helps!
Much softer than the Pro V1 and V1X; and also a nice upgrade from the $22 trufeels. The alignment lines are also very helpful for putting. Highly recommend if you want to save some $$ for some softer balls than the Pro Vs.
This ball is long. The alignment marks are also helpful. It checks up nicely and it was going to be my go-to ball except that I cut two covers in one round. I need a ball that I can play for 18 holes.
Good ball flight, distance, and spin! The only issue I had was putting. It felt mushy to me, but I play a mallet style putter with an insert. Might be better with a milled face or a blade style putter.
I haven’t completely ruled this one out, specifically due to the lower cost.
Was looking for a replacement for the DT Trusoft ball. This is not it. Harder feel, especially with the wedges. Not a bad ball but doesn’t compare to the old DT Trusoft.
Very important for me to have a brand of golf balls I can rely on , at a reasonable price , and a reliable service provided by Amazon. Thank you for the prompt service.
Honestly the best ball for the money for mid to high handicappers who are looking for a ball that does everything when u hit those few shots a hole the right way lol… 2 piece ball so the flight is high and spin is less without losing spin around the greens! Dont waste your money on 3/4/5 layer balls if you cant break 90 consistently.
These balls fly true and sit down …. super soft so i would play these all season until the weather gets below 50. Just an overall good feel and performance for $35. Plus this yrs ball has the alignment aid but you can save $5 a case if you dont care about that and buy last yrs models. I dont see any difference aside from theses and ive played these for the last 2 yrs now
Amazing golf balls! Just hit the ball 150 yards away from the green which was on top of a hill and the ball sat right down! You can see exactly where the ball hit the green On the video. I will definitely be using these from now on.
Distance with driver is very good. I am a senior (80 yo) man averaging about 185 yds with driver. This ball gets me 5 or so extra yds. Most important though is the spin with my short irons, 8 to wedges. I can finally stop or even back up the ball hit into green. I have not been able to do so in at least 10 years until I got the Tour Soft ball.
