I was impressed with the corrective and pro active customer service. They changed the solar panels and provided the new one which is now working.
The product is nice and working good.
Bought this camera and very pleased with the quality as you can see in the pictures and the siren alarm and flood lights works well as a good deterrent. Very easy to set up and put on alexa so can be checked anywhere in the world using the solar panel makes it wireless and chargers up well .would recommend to all family and friends good communication from seller if you need help or advise
I had been thinking about a security camera for a few weeks and this model with its solar panel caught my eye. Arrived promptly surprisingly easy to set up and I’m no tech wizard. Great picture and coverage of large drive. App makes it easy to control and a bonus of free cloud storage (more on subscription). I hadn’t issue with the sd card, emailed the company who were more than helpful. Early days but 20 days on its still running on its first charge and the solar seems to keep it topped up. I am suitably impressed.
I bought 2 of these solar powered security cameras as presents for a friend who lives in Italy. His house is old with thick walls so we decided to buy solar versions of security cameras as it would avoid drilling very deep holes in the walls for cables.
The cameras are very easy to install using a vertical or horizontally surface. Set up really couldn’t be any easier – just follow the app instructions. The wifi range is very good and the camera optics give a good image. The solar panel easily keeps the camera charged (but Italy does have sun!).
The app is very simple to use and setup to suit your requirements. There is basic cloud storage for free with a paid version for longer recordings and time storage.
I can’t fault the camera in any way. It could only be improved if it came with AI human tracking included, rather than as a payable addon.
A really good camera for not a lot of money.
So I needed a camera asap for my house.. I wanted a bargain but something that worked too. I got this because it looked amazing and the reviews were great also so was the price. It came next day the quality is amazing the sound is crisp and also it has intercom on it. It is by far the best budget camera and I’m glad I bought it! I will be buying more
I bought this camera due to a recent theft of a caravan nearby.
It took me approx 1hr to install the camera and solar panel. 15 minutes to download and install the app.
Happy with recording quality and video quality .

Picture quality – The HD quality is crisp and can be seen in the attached photo. This was very important for me and was very impressive! It also has an option on the app to switch from HD to SD to save on battery (but has not been needed!).
Motion detection – this will depend on how close the camera is to your WiFi router. When installing it here, the walls are very thick and quite far away, so the camera app actually alerted me that signal strength is too low. Due to security purposes I installed it here anyway. It’s also installed really quite high up, so this will also take away from the motion detection sensitivity. By only my own fault, this then picks up 95% of people walking up the drive, so please learn from this and judge where you want to install it. I’m still happy with this level of sensitivity!
Ease of use – really easy to use! I downloaded the app Cloudedge – which is designed to be used on many makes of security camera. I’d recommend this, and found it easy to use – whether I’m at home and hear a car pull up outside, or if I’m away and fancy checking or if I receive a motion detection alert.. Remotely I can go onto the app and check the recorded alert or turn the camera round to monitor the area, take recordings, photos, signal an alarm noise, turn a torch light on, adjust the motion detection sensitivity.. There is no need to pay a monthly subscription to use or access the footage – i believe you can if you want to access really old footage, but this if you ever need to save footage just save it to your phone via tha app or take screenshots using your phone! Again – no subscription needed, very easy to use and has lots of features. Great stuff!
Solar panel – I bought the solar panel addition, which has been very effective at topping up the battery whenever it goes down a little. Just make sure to put the solar panel onto a wall facing as much light or sun as possible, to get the best use. It has quite a long lead so you Could always connect your camera onto the corner of one face of the wall, and fix the solar panel on the other face of the wall.
Customer service – I’m really happy with the purchase. The company has actually reached out to me a couple of times to make sure I’m happy and see if they can offer any advice or help with anything – very kind and willing customer service!

Fab camera for the money. Pictures are clear, with the ability to zoom in. Night vision is great too. We were in Greece and could see our garden in the UK clearly. The ability to speak too is an added bonus. Would recommend these to anyone looking for some added security and peace of mind.
I bought this camera and I am very happy with the professional look of the camera it films day and night and I can get a notification every time a human or other creature is in view I bought it to film the hedgehogs that come into my garden which it picks up straight away but it’s also a security measure for my garde
Easy to setup, easy to add other people to the cameras for family sharing and the PTZ works smoothly.
Even outside with no WiFi boosters it’s got 84% signal strength. Paired with our ring doorbell this is a great front of house camera & if it performs well in the following weeks I’ll be getting two more to put round the house to cover every angle!
Bought this very reasonable camera slightly dubious as to whether it would be decent but it turns out it’s really quite impressive. Simple to set up and great quality / motion sensors as well as some good functions like movement and lighting.
The camera has charged itself through the 2 weeks I’ve owned it despite our rather gloomy summer.
Well impressed
This is a solar powered camera with wifi so no wires required for Power or data, the set up is really easy to follow, once you have downloaded the Topcony app the instructions are all on the screen and are step by step to get you connected in no time.
I popped a 64gb micro SD card into the bottom of the unit, not included by the way, and it records and saves everything you need to the card so you can review later on.
The PTZ (pan tilt & zoom) function is so easy to use, just swipe your screen in the direction you want it to move and it does it. I was quite impressed with the sensitivity of it.
I charged the camera with the USB cable when I received it and its been installed for about a week and its still on 99% I’ve had the solar panel connected since and as it has been quite sunny its kept the battery topped up.
I like the idea that this can be connected to your Amazon Echo, looking at the in app instructions, it looks really simple but ive not set this up yet.
Ive set this up as a wildlife cam in the back garden and its picked up all sorts of wildlife night and day. Brilliant
You have an option for the built in light to turn when it detects movement at night which converts the night mode (Black and white) to colour, I really like this function to give full colour images and video.
The image quality is clear enough in SD mode but ive set to QHD which is so much better especially when you zoom in.
Only negative ive found so far is I would like to be able to have this on my PC with one of the many camera apps that are available but this seems to only work on your phone app, ive used the Topcony app and cloud edge app and both work fine, but a PC version would be great.
I was very surprised when I’ve got the package. This is a large camera, isn’t small at all and the video quality is great. You have to download an app to set this up on your smartphone and following the instructions on the manual, it has a few steps but isn’t difficult. I’ve not yet put outside as I need to make some holes on the wall to fix it properly but tested inside Home and works fine.
It’s definitely a good quality item for an affordable price.
Please note you need to charge it before and it can’t be charged in a temp below 0 degrees. There are some warning in regards to where install it, like nowhere near to heat source. Just need to pay attention to the details.
Now let me start of by saying that I don’t think it’s as good as a wired camera – and that’s based on the Topcony camera range. But that doesn’t mean it gets a bad review.
A wireless solar powered camera is perfect for us. We can’t get electricity down to the bottom of the garden, but I need camera coverage and this is ideal. You may need a WiFi garden extender though. But if not, you can probably get away with just having a memory card in the device.
The video shows what the siren alarm is like (and I’ve turned the volume right down). The spotlight is surprisingly bright and the app is easy to use. The camera quality is decent, it’s not the best for major distance, but performs exactly as I would expect.
The Topcony customer service is top class too.
Boxing
The camera is well packaged and protected. It includes all of the cables, screws and rawl plugs to install it.
Installation
Installation was simple and quick. 7 holes with a 6mm drill and the rawl plugs fit nice and snuggly. My only complaint with the rawl plugs is they are cheap and don’t grip the wall particularly well, but the camera is light and this isn’t much of an issue. Installation took about 20 minutes.
Canera Setup
The app is simple to use and connection to the camera and WiFi was quick and easy. I set it up before installation, close to the router, which I did out of common sense but it is also recommended in the instructions.
Picture Quality
I have owned other wired and wireless cameras ranging from 1080p to 4k systems. This 2k camera is on par with its rating and the daytime image is good. There is some minor pixelation around the outer edge of the image but this does not detract from an otherwise pretty decent picture.
The night time image is actually really good and with the in built light, it provides a good light depth in a completely dark area.
Overall
I’m really impressed with the camera and app, especially for the price of the camera.
My only concerns with it are the longevity of the battery with it being charged via the solar panel. I would imagine in high traffic areas the battery would not last very long and in the British climate there may not be sufficient solar energy to compete. The only other issue is the delay when using the panning feature to move the camera. There is a fair bit of lag, but I suspect this is “getting used to it” issue and will improve with use.
However, with the price and ease of use and honestly pretty decent image it provides I can’t heavily criticise this camera and find it definitely worth the price for what you get!
I use an app called CloudEdge on the iphone to manage the cameras so having seen it is compatible my preferred route was to add the camera to my existing cameras, I did this quickly and easily by selecting the “add camera” and following the voice prompts and instructions. I had the camera up and running within 5 mins. I did not do what I was told to fully charge the camera before installation but it registered as 100% charged out of the box so not needed.
I attached the camera needing only a drill and screwdriver and aligned the camera using the iphone to set the default view, and attached the solar panel.
So far the camera has worked flawlessly the remotely iphone app controlled pan and tilt allows a wide span of view although I am not sure how often it will be needed. The recording onto the MicroSD card (not included with camera) worked as tiggered by movement and so far not had many false events when wind blows foliage or birds flies so it seems to have improved ability to filter out non human movement – clever! Picture quality in both SD and HD is crisp and the night vision in B/W similarly clear.
I was not too careful in aligning the solar panel except to angle it towards where the sun! It is west facing so gets most of its sunlight late afternoon but the camera is still showing at 100% after a week so I am assuming it is self maintaining so far. This is a great free addition with this camera as the recharging of my other cameras is a bit of an inconvenience.
In summary this is so far doing everything I need and performing well so can recommend it.
This camera was quick and easy to setup after being fully charged. The picture quality is good and the advantage of being able to pan and tilt the camera gives a much better view of a wider area. The app allows motion detection and to set up the area where this is active within the field of view. It allows recording, sound, a siren to be set off and a stobe light with audio warning. The camera also alows two levels of quality of picture ( SD and QHD. I use the highest quality which works well. At night you can use colour with the built in strobe light or night vision in black and white. The solar panels keep the camera charged except after a long time of dull days and much use.
