So when i saw this i thought of him straight away and he has used it a good few times now and its in his car kit. Someone has mentioned something my fella had said with the lint getting left afterwards but that goes after a couple of washes. I know because most of it ended up on my darks in the wash.
All that being said its a decent rag for what he uses it for.
I mean, let’s not be kidding ourselves – it’ll be a cold day in Hell before I wash my own car. Keeping someone in a job, innit? However, the interior gets horrendous condensation in winter and this cloth will be ideal for clearing the windows. Good size too. Very pleased!
Absorbs moisture well, but found it left some lint on the surface of the car, maybe that would go away with a few goes in the washer.
Tried it on the windows for my house, again it worked well for picking up the moisture, but a few bits of lint left.
Not a deal breaker, but might turn people away.
I like this cloth as it gives a streak-free finish.
The cloth arrived wrapped in plastic. I was disappointed with this unwanted plastic waste, especially when we should be using sustainable packaging.
I like the piped edging on the cloth as I find it makes it more hard-wearing. The drying loop is also very helpful as you can only air dry this cloth. It is very absorbent and leaves a streak-free finish. I have used this on my car and my windows and I am very pleased with the finish. It is incredibly soft for a cloth and the material feels durable.
This is a decent cloth to have in the car cleaning kit and I would recommend it.
Usually I use a chamois for drying the car but thought I would give this a try. After using a few times I am relatively pleased with it. It more absorbent than I thought it would be but I still think a decent chamois is better. Although the towel works very well for drying, and its a decent size, I did find that it left a lot of fluff/lint after drying. However, as you can easily wash this towel unlike a chamois this will probably reduce over time. Overall though a good extra for your car cleaning toolkit.
This towel completes a set i now have for fully valeting the car both inside and outside.
The microfibres are fantastic and lock any grime not removed deep in the pile to ensure no streaking or spreading whilst buffing out.
The towel is super soft and extremely absorbent.
Excellent quality towel at a very fair price.
This towel is soft enough so as not to cause any scratched on car even when wiped vigorously. The size and thickness is just right. It is light and since it is dark in color you don’t have to worry about stains that won’t go even after washing.
This towel isn’t too bad. It claims 600 GSM but it doesn’t feel like it in my opinion. Maybe on the more plushier areas. I wouldn’t use this on the exterior of my car but it’s suitable for the interior.
The back side is a little rough in my opinion but again, suitable for interior use on scratch resistant plastics.
Use this towel for polishing only as I don’t want it to get dirty. This very affective towel does a great job of preventing streaking when polishing. No idea how it works but it does. Less work as well and get brilliant results.
I have used it to clean water off the top glass of my panoramic roof once cleaned and it was very absorbent.
Highly recommend
Good cloth that once wet will really make a difference to your panels. No streaks or scratches are left. I also use it for cleaning my motorcycle helmet. Good size and value too. Recommended
This is not a very big cloth but it is big enough to dry even a quite wet car. The backing gives a good surface for removing any residual marks. I actually find the drying is more effective when the cloth is a bit damp. The price is about average for this size. They dry well hung in the washing line.
This looks like a good quality product, and time will tell how durable it is. It’s quite large…I was planning on using it on the inside of my car, but it might be more suitable for external use. Only one side is towel, the underside is a simple fabric with no significant absorbency. My initial impressions are that it’s worth four stars, but I will revisit that in a few months and might upgrade or downgrade it depending on my experiences.
As a drying towel this absorbs water and works well. However the two sides of the towel are not the same texture. The mesh-like surface is best used wet and is extremely good at removing dead insects. For me this means that the towel is best used as a washing aid rather than for drying.
This cloth comes in a plastic bag with full instructions. It measures 40 x 40 cms which is just a good size for holding comfortably. The cloth is very soft to touch, it has ridges to allow more absorption, it is well made with bound edges and no loose threads etc, it has a handy hanging hook which is ideal for both storage and drying. I washed my car in the usual way and dried it with the microfibre cloth, I was really impressed, it dried really well and streak free, there are cheaper ones on the market but I haven’t found one that works as well as this one.
I’ve used the Towelogy Microfibre Car Drying Towel for a good few washes now and I’m so pleased with it! It’s super absorbent and great for drying cars, although it was a bit linty after a prewash, but it still absorbed the water really well. I’m so glad I received this towel, it’s definitely a great investment!
These are nicely made and the microfiber works well at soaking up water from the body of your car. They work best when wetted first and wrung out. The hems are well stitched without frayed fibers that would leave drips and streaks on the paintwork. Overall nice towels, feel quite premium.
A note about these towels, only use them to dry clean surfaces so they don’t get loaded with dirt and when you come to wash them throw them in a washing machine ONLY in a very cool wash WITHOUT detergent otherwise it will ruin the microfiber material and they’ll lose their absorbency properties … essentially turning them into just cloths.
A cloth for cleaning your car with.
It comes in a plastic wrap, with a bit of card giving product details. Tear this to get the product out.
It’s a pretty big cloth. Forty centimetres by forty centimetres. The honeycomb structures on the front feel like a slightly deep and very soft carpet. So they don’t scratch when you used it. The size of the cloth means there’s a good amount of coverage also.
It’s a pretty good product. Which does exactly what is required of you. I can’t rate it on price because that doesn’t show. But for what I do know of it, it’s really good and worth a try.
I was surprised when I received my order for a Towelogy Microfibre (sic) Automotive Detailing Towel, how tiny a package it was. The ‘towel’ I extracted from the package was nothing like the bulk of the ‘towel’ shown in photos 1, 6 & 7 of the advertising in the Amazon listing for this item.
Nevertheless, I had a review to write, so I took the Towelogy microfiber towel out to help me wash & polish my car. I took note that the Towelogy towel “is designed to dry your car quickly and efficiently”, so I washed the car with my normal sponge & car wash concentrate in water, rinsed it, then used this towel to dry the car off (in place of my usual Chamois leather). It was very, very effective at drying the residual water off the car (the water was disappearing quickly anyway, because it was a hot, sunny day). Also, when I spotted a blemish on the car — squashed flies, tree sap or whatever, the Towelogy microfiber towel was impressively effective in cleaning it off, though I did need to use my finger nail occasionally to remove a stubborn bit.
When the Towelogy microfiber towel (hereafter referred to as ‘the cloth’, because it is getting clumsy keeping repeating that) got dirty, I washed it off in the bucket, & thereafter used it wet. I was even more favourably impressed with the wet performance of the cloth in cleaning the car. When the car was tolerably clean all over, I switched to polishing it, using one straightforward microfiber cloth to put on polish & further clean the car, & a separate dry microfiber cloth to buff off. I didn’t bother with the electric polisher today.
When I was finished, I washed dirty cloths, including the review item. After I had rinsed this cloth & wrung it reasonable dry, & I took a photo of it before putting it outside to dry fully. The photo reveals the cloth’s dishcloth size, rather than towel size. Despite that negative comment, I found the Towelogy Microfibre Automotive Detailing Towel to be a useful addition to my car cleaning kit, & consider its cost well justified by results.
This cloth is more texturised than your standard microfibre as it’s designed in stripes, so you’ve got the basic microfibre towelling for the cloth with stripes of fluffier fleece microfibre across it. The back of the cloth is just plain backing, looking a little like netting, which is apparently good for removing grime.
When I first received this and later took photos I noticed a lot of fluff coming off it. First just little bits, then a bit more, which isn’t ideal. Thankfully, I only had a little of that stuck to the car after use as I imagine it could have been worse.
The material is designed to be super absorbent so it’s really for drying after washing when it comes to car care. Obviously it’s just a cloth so it’s not only to be used on cars, you could use it in the home or for cleaning up spills. The fabric is very soft so it won’t scratch any surface, and I’ve found it easy enough to hold as it’s not too slippery soft.
I’d probably use this when I next wash the windows in the house too as it worked well on the windows of my car as well as the bodywork. It started off very well for drying but after doing a lot of the car, which was soaked, it did lose some ability to dry as well as it was, which isn’t surprising.
While I tend to do microfibre cloths by hand, you can machine wash this, just air dry as you can’t tumble dry it. There’s a little loop at the corner of the cloth so you can hang it up while drying or to store it.
It’s a decent cloth that’s very absorbent as claimed, but I’m not super keen on the fluff that comes off mine and it’s a bit pricey when you only get the one.
