The story of TRIXIE began with a three-and-a-half tonne truck and a Dane. When businessman Bonnik Hansen loaded his truck with dog leashes, toys and chewing bones, he had no idea that his one-man business would develop into a European market.
In spite of its fast growth and success, the company has remained down-to-earth and authentic. Everybody is on a first-name basis, meetings take place at eye level, and we deal with each other in a fair and open way. Firstly, this litter tray’s small size is perfect for kittens or smaller breeds. It provides them with a comfortable space to do their business without overwhelming them. However, as they grow into adult cats, the tray becomes cramped and insufficient in size, leading to accidental spills and messes outside the tray.
Cleaning this litter tray has been quite a hassle due to the textured bottom. The texture seems to trap debris and waste particles, making it difficult to wipe away thoroughly. This results in unpleasant odors lingering even after cleaning efforts. I found myself having to scrub rigorously to remove every bit of dirt and residue from the textured surface.
On the positive side, this litter tray is incredibly affordable compared to other options on the market. If you have a limited budget or need something temporary for your kitten, it might be worth considering. However, if you’re looking for a long-term solution that accommodates adult cats comfortably and offers easy cleaning, I would recommend investing in a different model.
In conclusion, while this small litter tray may suffice temporarily for kittens or petite feline companions, it falls short when used by fully grown cats. Its inconvenient texture on the bottom makes cleaning a tiresome chore rather than a simple task. Ultimately, I would only recommend this product if you are seeking an inexpensive option strictly for young kittens but advise against using it for larger cats.
Thought it would be bigger but for one kitten is plenty. I had 8 kittens using it along with a covered litter tray. Down side is the sides are low. Kitty litter everywhere
This is a sturdy, easily cleaned tray for kittens to use, or as I’ve also found out a comfy extra bed for cats to sleep in!! Either way, it’s a great product!! Will buy again.
My only negative comment would be that as I ordered two, I would have preferred two of the same colour, but I guess that’s a personal preference. I purchased them for my guinea pigs to use in their cage and they work very well for that with a little hay and woodshavings inside for absorbancy. Would recommend to any piggy owners changing to fleece liners but needing something like this .
Perfect size for my ferrets, had no issues litter training them with these trays which my female ferrets can fit their bodies in and is low one end so they can easily get in. Good value for money, lot cheaper than Marshall litter tray, I’ve bought more for around the home
This makes a great litter tray for ferrets – it’s an ideal size and feels sturdy. The high sides with a lowered entry point are great for keeping all business inside the tray whilst still providing easy access for short ferret legs.
We’ve tried a few different trays that weren’t *quite* right, so finding this one has been great!
I’m pretty happy with this. I find it really easy to clean, I like the colour and that it’s easy for my old boy to get in and out of it. It is very small so it’s perfect for a guinea pig but unsuitable for cats or rabbits (or multiple guinea pigs). The plastic is quite thin, and it is very light so I think if it was big enough for a cat or a rabbit it would probably tip over pretty easily.
Perfect tray for a kitten as one edge is lower , for them to climb in. Very easy to clean & fits under a vintage chair I have: which makes it more private for her & less obvious for me in a small flat. Very happy with it.
