We purchased this display to use as a field monitor in my studio and replace an older 15 inch display we had been using now and wow what a difference it’s made!
I didn’t think there would be that much difference between the two different sizes but having the slightly bigger display is definitely much better because you can see exactly what I’m recording with just a quick glance and the colour accuracy is spot on..
We tried about 3 different displays from Amazon and all were returned because either the picture looked washed out or the colours accuracy was absolutely terrible, the uperfect display is almost identical to my Asus P3 100% sRGB so I’d definitely recommend this display if your editing content or just looking for a field monitor for your streaming setup!!
I’m very happy with my new display.
I have been struggling with my MacBook Pro screen for a while, so I decided that, rather than upgrade a perfectly good laptop, I’d get a bigger screen that I could take away with me.
I’m really pleased with it. The build and picture quality are very good, and it just works. The only thing that really ticks me off is that it has some weird coloured LEDs that are on the go constantly. They can’t be turned off!
This is a nice little screen. Great that it doesn’t have any branding on it, and a very good price. Display is clear and bright, but moving windows, etc. are noticeably blurry due to a slow pixel refresh (irrespective of display frequencies supported).
But, for the money, it’s a great secondary display.
Edit a week or so later: There’s some pretty bad capacitor or coil whine when this is in standby mode. Didn’t hear it at first. Strangely not there when the monitor is in use. So now I turn off the power entirely rather than just letting it enter standby. Shame, as that’s the only material marr on this product. Otherwise, it’s really good.
I am using this as a video monitor and it works really well. I had a small issue with the PSU supplied but company was very helpful and communicative. I just used another USB PSU in the end to save the effort of posting back the whole thing, but supplier was most helpful and accommodating. Thank you
I have brought two of these for my desktop set up. They sit nicely beneath my much larger, wall mounted Panasonic, and are perfect extra screen real estate. Working in motion graphics I spend a lot of time switching between programs, so having more screens speeds up my work flow.
They are bright, responsive, and true colour, plus they are very, very slim which is a big bonus when you are trying to fit keyboard, mouse, and other peripherals onto a crowded desk!
Connecting a deskbox with it, I like not using desk space for the box, but the cords to monitor are a bit short so I have to raise the computer off the floor. control buttons are tiny. But its a very light monitor and takes up very little room.
Great monitor, very good value and super light. My first unit developed a fault which appears to be unusual for this product but the customer service department replaced it with a brand new monitor no questions asked. Thoroughly recommended!
This is a very good screen and a good option if, like myself, you need additional screen real estate on the go. The bezel is sufficiently slim even though the chin is that bit larger but you don’t really notice that and it certainly doesn’t reduce the ability of the screen. It’s well made and easy to configure. Had there been an HD version I would have bought that. It’s supplied with a protective case but this is just a soft case, which doesn’t really offer much protection to the screen, a hard case would be much better or at least a case with one hard side to help minimise impact to the screen. Overall I would recommend this screen if the other 15.6″ options seem to small
I bought this monitor as my own replacement second screen for use with my work laptop for home working. I’m very pleased with it. It is slimline so takes up minimal space on my desk, giving me more room. It is very good quality with good colour, brightness and sound, and comes with a choice of different cables which are very useful. It came nicely presented in a sturdy box too. So far it’s been a good purchase.
Good option if you want a genuinely portable display. I use this with my laptop for work when I’m away from home. Display construction & screen quality is good. I can power it from the power cable or from my laptop. Strangely there’s no manufacuring information on the display itself (literally nothing) and the box doesn’t mention UPERFECT. Thats not a problem, just a bit odd. Would I buy again? Not sure… its a good display but very expensive for what it is. I could buy a much better spec display with a stand, but there aren’t many options if you want a truly portable display.
Expensive but really solid product and paired with my Mac mini M1 perfectly.
A superb portable monitor. Just needed a little colour tweaking and display matching with the mini.
The speaker is really useful and has an audio outlet for an external speaker as a bonus. The integrated stand works well and looks good.
Great product!
BEWARE that the unit does not have VESA mounting holes, contrary to how it is advertised. It is a great product otherwise, the brightness is very good and the color quality looks great as well for normal everyday use.
This is one of the best external portable monitors i have owned and I have owned a few.
It is very slim, lightweight and bright.
Highly recommended especially since it is a 17″ monitor as well.
Switched on, all works perfect, finish and quality of materials is good, fitting the somewhat higher price for this screen. Sound from speakers is good also. Aux connection is great little surprise. Comes with 3 different cables: mini hdmi and 2 x usb c. Only wished that one of the USB C cables was longer, so i could use it to connect to wall socket for power and not my laptop.
Overall I am very satisfied.
Absolutely fantastic piece of kit, nothing to do with other monitors available for sale where you can easily see in their pictures why they are so much cheaper.
The build quality and finish is superb, feels like a quality product to the touch.
The image is also perfect, I thought that 100% sRGB was just marketing gimmick, but there’s a world apart between this and my existing Dell ultrasharps. Since I started using it I find myself dragging windows to this monitor all the time despite being smaller.
I’m connecting it to my laptop with a USB-C to USB-C cable and works great, not even using the external power brick provided.
Will keep an eye for more products of this brand, which I hadn’t heard of before
I needed a second display for my studio desk and as soon as I saw this 17.3″ USB C portable monitor I had to have it.
Personally I prefer USB C displays due to their ability to use one single cable to provide power, video and audio all in one when connected to my Mac mini or MacBook Pro to act as the main display or a second display panel. It can also be simply powered via USB C from any USB C power adapter such as the one included while also connected on the second USB C port to another USB C source such as the new iPad Pro or even a Fire TV Stick to view video and music content.
This particular display spec’s are impressive: 19201080 FHD IPS HDR 100% sRGB Mobile Display with Type C, Mini HDMI, OTG, Kickstand and VESA Hole. It has a 100% sRGB colour gamut, 800:1 contrast ratio, 16.7M colours, 178 viewing angle, 3-5ms response speed and built in dual 1W speakers.
To adjust the OSD settings you simply press in the rocker button on the right hand side and frankly its very nicely presented. The rocker button itself is very small and frankly a bit fiddly until you know where it is and it needs to be pressed in firmly, but once you do then the settings pop up on the bottom right of the display. By rocking the rocker switch and pressing on your selection you can adjust: Picture, Colour Settings, Audio Settings, Other Settings and Input Source. There is also a shortcut to adjust brightness by flicking the rocker switch up and a shortcut to adjust volume by flicking the rocker switch down.
Sound from the speakers is not overly loud but very useable and not in the least tinny. You also have a 3.5mm audio jack which gives you the options if you wish to route audio output through your audio system.
The screen is packaged in an impossibly thin metal case with a dark grey matt finish, a really neat kick stand which hides the controls on the right side of the panel when its folded down but can just as easily be folded up. The monitor weighs in at only 2 pounds and not only looks amazing but the matt finish helps reduce glare and reflections from the lights in my studio.
There is also a Vesa mount on the back should you choose to mount it on an arm of some sort or even flat on a wall. I’ve not plans to mount it as I like the fact its so portable and can be used anywhere and carried in the ultra slim padded carry case that it comes with.
So what’s not to like? Not a lot other than its obviously not cheap and I’m not a fan of Micro HDMI as I need a female to female HDMI adapter to plug in my Fire TV Stick. That said you do get what you pay for and I am extremely happy with this portable monitor.
