VAUDE has been climate neutral with all products since 2022! What does that mean?
In concrete terms, it means that we have taken the time to calculate our global greenhouse gas emissions for VAUDE as a company, including all products, and fully offset all currently unavoidable emissions. At the same time, we are continuing to reduce our emissions in accordance with science-based targets (SBTs) in order to make our contribution to meeting the 1.5-degree target.
What is the Science Based Targets Initiative and what are science-based targets?
The international Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) helps companies set measurable and realistic climate targets to reduce emissions. By joining SBTi, we as a company have committed to doing our part to meet the 1.5-degree target. This means that we are reducing our emissions and, in addition, have been voluntarily offsetting all emissions that we can’t yet avoid since 2022. This makes us climate neutral.
What CO2 reduction targets have we set?
We’ve set three SBTs and submitted them to the SBTi. They are now under review and should be verified by the end of 2022. We will then be reviewed annually on whether we are meeting our targets.
1. By 2026: 30% less emissions from the company vehicle fleet compared to 2019 (Scope 1)
2. By 2030: continue to use 100% green electricity at the German company headquarters (Scope 2)
3. By 2030: 50% reduction in Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions compared to 2019, particularly emissions from material consumption and energy consumption in material production.
How important is it that VAUDE is climate neutral worldwide?
Very important! The most recently published IPCC report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change once again forcefully points out that climate change is a man-made reality and is progressing even faster than previously assumed.
The 1.5-degree target agreed in the Paris Climate Agreement could be exceeded as early as 2030 if things continue as they have been. We aren’t willing to wait – now is the time to take action.

Ich habe diese Halteschiene fr VAUDE Fahrrad – Gepcktasche zustzlich bestellt weil die Aufhngungen bei entfernen der Gummi-Innenadapter auch an die Seitenkoffertrger von MOTEA und FC MOTEC passen.
Somit kann ich die Tasche mhelos an meinem Motorrad befestigen und anhngen. Das lstige Umhngen mit dem Tragegurt entfllt und ich habe fr Fahrrad und Motorrad eine eigens passende Trgerschiene.
Ich finde es super, dass man wenn etwas defekt ist, Ersatz bestellen kann und nicht gleich die ganze Fahrradtasche neu kaufen mu. Wirklich super, passt alles und sehr schnell geliefert. Sehr gut fr die Umwelt in bezug auf Nachhaltigkeit.
Se lo he acoplado a una alforja con unos enganches muy frgiles que no haba llegado a utilizar. Ahora da sensacin de solidez y parece que aguantar bastante ms. He realizado dos perforaciones alineadas con una central que ya vena en la pieza. Para el da a da es ideal.
Meine VAUDE Aqua Back Single Hinterradtasche hat sich im tglichen Einsatz bestens bewhrt. Nun sollte eine kleine Tasche her, wenn das Taschenvolumen der Aqua nicht bentigt wird.
Seit etlichen Jahren leistet mir meine KultBag Umhngetasche treue Dienste und sie soll nun am Fahrrad mitgefhrt werden knnen.
Dazu habe ich eine 3mm Polycarbonat-Platte auf die Mae der Innentasche zurecht geschnitten und die Befestigungs-Lcher fr die VAUDE-Schiene ergnzt. Dadurch bekommt die KultBag eine stabile Rckseite und die Schiene lt sich exakt befestigen. Die Lcher werden ebenfalls durch den Stoff der Tasche geschnitten. Eine Senkkopf Gewindeschraube ergnzt das Ganze zur Sicherung.
Ich finde das Ergebnis kann sich sehen lassen. Die KultBag kann nun genauso am Gepcktrger montiert werden, wie die regulre Fahrradtaschen auch.
Traurig ist, dass fr den doch recht hohen Preis kein Gegenstck zum Einklinken dabei ist.
Sehr traurig ist, dass es nicht einmal Gegenstcke zu kaufen gibt.
Und wer denkt es wre wenigstens eine Zeichnung oder hnliches dabei, wie das Gegenstck aussehen knnte
bzw. das wenigstens die Mae fr die ffnungen zum Einklinken angibt – Fehlanzeige!
Fr all diese Mankos denke ich, ist ein Punkt Abzug gerechtfertigt.
Also habe ich mir in mhevoller Handarbeit zwei Leisten aus Holz zurechtgemacht, welche als Gegenstcke
an einer Schultertasche Platz finden. Diese kann nun am Gepcktrger eingehangen, oder weiter ganz normal als Schultertasche werden.
Wer sich auch so etwas anfertigen mchte – ein kleiner Tipp: Zum verbinden der beiden Leisten (eine in der und eine
auen an der Tasche) habe ich Buchschrauben genommen.
