Increased wifi speed on a old laptop straight out of the box , there is a cd as well for installation but not required as its a plug and play … worked grea

The second I excitedly opened the box, I knew that this was the ultimate WiFi dongle. My life quite frankly, will never be the same. The accessibility, the ease, the speeds, the packaging, and the build quality are simply unmatched. For such a competitive price, how can there be any competition? I sincerely recommend this to everyone who’s in need, of upping their WiFi speeds to supersonic!!

I bought a budget PC which didn’t have a built-in wireless adaptor. Managed fine with an ethernet cable connection between PC and router until I moved house and the router was too far away. Had to think of another solution – bought this wifi dongle and hey presto all is good.

Was getting 30 (ish) Mbps through my built in network adapter (on an old HP/Windows 10 laptop).
As I have a Gigabit FTTP connection to the house I bought this usb adapter to try and increase the wifi speed and was amazed at the difference in speed.
After the software was installed it connected to my normal TalkTalk hub, and without changing any of the settings, provided this sort of speed (used a speed checker provided by my streaming service, 760 to 890 Mbps over three runs). Great purchase, whole heartedly recommend.

I recently bought a gaming PC, however, my bedroom is in the attic and wiring the ethernet throughout the house was out of the question, and an internet booster in my bedroom wasn’t cutting it either. However, I’ve connected this to the internet booster on the floor below, and it seems to be working great for playing co-op games online and downloading games.

I purchased this little dongle as I found the internal Wi-Fi adapter inside my desktop pc wasn’t able to take advantage of the full fibre install we just got in, the setup was very easy (plug and play on Windows 11) and I am now able to get close to the 900Mbps I should which is a great improvement on the 80Mbps I was getting before on the old device. The dongle is nice little piece of kit and the seller was very easy to deal with. I would recommend to anyone looking for a zippy Wi-Fi 5 dongle for full fibre speeds up to 1300Mbps.

Probably the best thing I have bought on Amazon. Even though I have a relatively new PC, for some reason the built in WiFI would not pick up my 5Ghz broadband on my HUAWEI 5G CPE Pro 2 Router only the 2.4Ghz signal (The router gives you the option to connect to either seperately). Having plugged in the ElecMoga 1300Mbps Wifi Adapter 3.0 USB it picked up my 5GHz Router connection, and since connected my download speed went from 30Mbs to 200Mbs and upload from 20Mbs to 45Mbs. I am using this upstairs and the Huwawei router is downstairs in the living room and i still get exceptional speed using a Vodafone 4G+ signal (NO 5G in my area currently). I would highly recommend this dongle it is brilliant. I was worried the 5Ghz wouldnt pass through the walls and doors to upstairs but i get the absolute maximum signal and speed you can actually obtain from 4G.

This adapter is small in size compared to most I have purchased.
The quality of the plastic is excellent and the electrical components well manufactured.
The adapter is a ‘Plug and Play’ device right out of the box.
It works with both Apple and Windows laptops
The device showed immediately without any installing of drivers.
The device comes with a small DVD which has all device drivers should your computer not have a version already preinstalled.
Signal strength is good and the device doesn’t heat up whilst in operation.
The added bonus is the built in antenna which are easily adjustable, if using this WIFI adapter with a small laptop or PC device.
Happy to recommend as quality both for cost and performance.

It is a great little device that works out of the box; simply plug and play. However, it wasn’t suitable for me, I needed something that would receive a strong signal at the bottom of my garden where my office is, unfortunately, this device was not up to the job, that said I have a very long garden and perhaps I should have considered this when purchasing.
For most people, this will be an ideal purchase.

Glad I tried this before buy a new computer. My laptops 6 years old. Very slow but our home WiFi is normally fine on all over thendeices bug drops a little but after research I tried a wifi dongle and what a difference. Immediately worked faster. If your not techy think of it as two arms grabbing the signal instead of one. Just plug into the lap top it worked right away but there is a cd that comes with it and they give you step by step instructions but my laptop just set itself so I didn’t need to actually do anything. Sometimes have to gp to off site locations with my laptop and this fondle helps me get a much stronger signal that the flakey built in hardware. Everyone should have one it’s been a game changer. Super cheap price very impressed

Tried on Windows 11, and it was plug and play, as stated. Still managing to get ~250Mbps speeds when located in a different room to the router.

Only downside is the size, if you are planning to use this on a device with only a couple of USB ports close together, be prepared to sacrifice any access to ports directly next to the dongle.

Tapping into the world of wireless internet connectivity has been quite the revelation. With this dongle, the internet feels smooth, videos play without any hitch, and online gaming runs without any lag. The dual antennas help the signal to maintain its strength even when I’m at a distance from the router. The installation was hassle-free and the 3.0 USB ensures high-speed transmission. But one thing to note, it might not be the most suitable option for those with older computers. Otherwise, a truly dependable piece of technology.
