Great little trailcam (and it is little). Quality photos and videos. Easy to use. Excellent battery life. I set it to a photo on movement (not video) and no more than one photo every 5 minutes, The batteries have lasted well over a month with 15-20 photos each day.
This is the 3rd of these cameras i have bought one for myself one for my daughter and one for the wildlife charity i work for ( Elm wildlife rescue ) ….. what more can i say
Easy to use, inexpensive and value for money. I would definitely buy this camera again. I now know what happens at the back of my house, from cats. hedgehogs, grass snakes, owls etc.
The seller replaced the faulty camera even though I had missed the deadline due to having a stay in hospital and thx seller was very understanding . Very good customer care service
As the title states, great camera for the price. Used it twice now on a night and caught the next doors cat having a roam around.
Found the culprit now!
The most difficult issue was the instruction booklet, all you needed to know was there, but Chinese English leaves a lot to the imagination…and extremely small print, but once overcome operation is straight forward…would recommend seller.
Great camera- managed to get some lovely shots of foxes badgers and the neighbours cat! Night vision works well although I think it clicks when it’s triggered as the wildlife clearly hears it not that it seems to worry them much. Goes through batteries quickly though.
Have been using it past month and it s pretty easy to use and light weight, have had no issues with the camera quality so far and the card slot makes it easy to have the footage straight on your device. Overall happy with the purchase
Easy to set up with lots of features. You can have it set to be on all the time or programme it. We set it to be on overnight to see what was in our garden. Turns out we have fox visitors which we would have not known unless it was for this camera. Good clear pictures both day and night. For the price I am really happy with this. Batteries have lasted for over two weeks using it most nights.
The Battery life is amazing i think, it does depend where you position them but for me i could get 4 to 5 months on good quaility batteries. Menu and setup are easy to follow and understand, i used 128gb memory card and it lasted well. tree strap was easy to use but i changed mine to paracord so it didnt notice so much. I did however have an issue with a blur on my pics and vids, which i contacted CamPark Customer services and they where extremely helpful indeed. They went out there way to resolve the issue i had and kept me imformed all the way.
It took me a while to get the menu options to accept the correct date, but once that was done, the rest was easy to set up, and it’s done a great job as a wildlife and security device. The instructions say use a 64mb memory card, but I chose to use a 128mb version and it worked fine, and meant I didn’t have to check the camera as often. I would also recommend using good quality batteries for the same reason.
I ordered this camera to see what wildlife there was on my allotment. I have been using it to see the different types of birds visiting the feeders (in this case a squirrel). The daytime pictures/videos are very good, nice and crisp. You can set up the camera with various sensitivity settings, numbers of pics taken or just video. Quality of video/pic can also be set, just remember that the higher setting means you get less recordings on your memory card. It’s worth getting some decent batteries to help the camera do its thing for longer.
I had an issue with my camera where night time pics/videos were not being taken (reason for lower score on night vision). It was working in the house but not at the allotment. I contacted customer services and they were very helpful, explaining how the camera should be set up and a few reasons why it might not have worked.
After a few attempts it was agreed that the camera was faulty as I had tried everything suggested. Customer services told me to return the camera and they would replace it straight away. This I did and they were as good as their word, the new camera arrived within a few days.
Great service, couldn’t ask for more!
Now, back to recording the wildlife.
The picture on this camera is amazing, and the built in LCD screen on the inside of this contraption is really clear! However, it doesn’t come with an SD card so i had to buy this separately, but it is wireless and runs by 4 batteries! You can have it set to only capture motion, so I have been using this for a week and it has only saved nature and movement that has occurred in front of the camera!
Trail camera arrived quickly. Once set up and running, it finally showed me who ate the food I left in the evening: a beautiful fox! Great buy, took a while to set up as it was new to me, but following the instructions wasn’t difficult. The fastening system is also excellent, easy to remove and put on. Remember to buy the internal card which is not included. Recommended.
Decent picture quality for the price, but the camera runs through all the batteries in less than a day which means it’s just impossible to use. Disappointed, don’t buy
Edit: I was kindly refunded the price of the camera trap, hopefully it was just an error with the one I purchased.
Good value product, works well, takes decent Infrared and good daylight photographs and ok video. Setting up quite fiddly with small switch under body of camera easy to miss set but cheap price makes up for this.
for the money, good little trap cam. Set up to capture short videos and still images and worked a treat to identify who was living under my shed 🙂 set of batteries lasted 3 days capturing video and stills of all that moved. IR light quite short and narrow but then not sure what expected for the site/cost of the device.
Did the job and happy with the purchase.
Remember that there’s no SD card (you’ll need to buy a 128GB card – not with an adaptor, as I only had micro cards and when used with an adaptor didn’t work).
I have four other mini trail cameras, brand name was Campark.
I needed another and since Campark is no longer available I bought this one Nexcam
It looked very similar to the ones I had but with a better specification.
Apart from a differently coloured front cover it is identical to my other cameras.
It operates in exactly the same way but has a couple of improvements.
24M pixels, for my usage 24MP is much too big, the files are enormous but you can as with the other cameras select a smaller resolution.
One I really like it seems to have a real time clock (RTC) like a PC, so when you change batteries the time and date is still set.
This is my first wildlife camera and it’s been really good at picking up movement and the images it captures are pretty decent. Nice to hear sound with the images too. The main issue I find is that if it rains (which is often in the UK), the lens is obscured. Same in cold temperatures – the lens steams up so spoils any images captured. It cpuld do with a small ‘hood’ on the top of the unit to protect the lens from raindrops. Obviously, this wouldn’t work in severe downpours but for general use, this would make the camera performance even better. Battery life is ok but I think a solar power option would be helpful.
Small compact wildlife
Camera . U can see
Lights from it at night so not
Totally stealthy . Video is clear photos are ok .
Only thing I found was the batteries did t
Last long . Runs on 6 AA batteries they were dead in a week of use .
It’s very hit and miss.
Tried all setting and reset twice, video picks up when it wants so not that good.
Don’t think great it only uses 4 batteries,it uses batteries so fast like 6 hours and flat and also when there low it don’t record.
There is No percentage on the battery icon so ain’t got a clue how much left just 3 dots and when new batteries in still only 2 out of 3 dots, also no loop record which is a must.
The person replied so updated the stars to 4 based on communication,i await partial refund.
We bought this camera in July 2022 and have used it fairly constantly since to monitor the comings and goings of a hedgehog which appears to live in our garden. It has withstood rain and cold and has given good quality pictures throughout.
I recently contacted the suppliers to report the fact that the camera appeared to have stopped working. I received a prompt reply with some advice on how to do further testing. However, it transpired that I had been supplied with faulty batteries. Out of a batch of 24 there are 3 batteries with zero output. Although I had changed the batteries twice I had obviously included a dead battery in each set. I am impressed by the prompt response and the supplier’s concern that the camera might be faulty which it isn’t.
I have been using the camera for wildlife shots in our garden. It has given some excellent videos of our night time visitors, in particular the family of hedgehogs. Local cats have been caught “raiding” for nests and one evening the camera even caught a bat on photo settings.
I had some technical queries and the seller responded quickly and helpfully.
I have to recharge the batteries most days but that is not too bad given the camera may have up to 90 minutes of captured videos.
The one area where an improvement would be useful is a more detailed definition in the manual of what some of the setting up features actually do. Some are obvious, other not so. The initial few days were bit trial and error. But if I had known the the company helpline was so good I would have used that option.
Even though my camera has stopped working I think it’s OK to say that picture plus audio quality (while it worked) is pretty good for such a small camera.
Some of the advantages that I’ve found with this camera
~ It takes a standard, full sized memory card which is very useful when trying to change cards in the woodland.
The camera is small and light weight and can also be used with an external power unit ( I don’t use one at the moment).
It’s shower proof.
Videos and photographs recorded, including those taken at Night time, were very good quality while working with in the recommended distances.
Some disadvantages that I’ve found.
It does go through batteries quicker than my other Wildlife camera!
The lens is very exposed with and is prone to water droplets staying on the front element causing the pictures to be blurred. Tilting the camera forward can reduce this problem. Some form of Lens Hood attachment may help.
With heavy rain, any audio recordings remain muffled for several days afterwards.
The main function switch inside, at the base of the camera can be tricky to move and to select the correct function, However, this may prove to have been just my camera as I’m awaiting a replacement !
Cheers
Set up this camera yesterday, to see if the food we have put out for a visiting hedgehog is being eaten by the hedgehog, and great results! Camera was easy to set up, it is simple to use, and pictures we had this morning were brilliant. We now know that the hedgehog was in the garden at 9.15pm, 1.30am and 4.30am, might be more than one. We also discovered a visiting cat! Really pleased with the results.
This camera does what it says, takes great pictures and videos and easy to use, would recommend, I am not tech savvy, but managed this.
