Charges very quick with the included 120w charger takes around 15 mins. The charge lasts long with heavy usage and a sharp camera taking high quality photos. Very surprised I brought this phone with this much money
Have it for just over 2 months and works well with plenty of storage. Good quality phone and videos and apps all works with the phone. Will try out the zoom function once school concerts performances starts and report back. No complaints so far.
As a first time user of an android phone moving away from IPhones, this phone did 3 things really well in my mind:
1) Good battery life
2) Camera quality was excellent
3) Superb screen resolution
Things I preferred on an iPhone:
– Usability of the phone was lacking but this could be down to user preference – being use to Apple IOS.
– Slightly heavier than I’m use to / chunkier – not noticeably though.
I’d definitely think about getting one if you’re on the fence, especially for the price of these phones. A lot of depth compact in a handheld device
The Huawei P30 Pro was great. Then I moved across the the Redmi 11 pro, and upgraded as soon as I saw this available.
It’s a worthy upgrade.
The battery is somehow even better. 0-100 in around 20 minutes and comfortably lasts a day…. And that’s without lowering the screen refresh which I had to do on the redmi 11!
Its slick. Fast. The camera is incredible.
For the price it’s actually almost unbelievable and is better than any iPhone I’ve had.
As soon as the Redmi K60 becomes available I will once again upgrade. They really do make Apple look silly. You will not buy a better phone for the money.
I honestly expected the device to be loaded with bloatware but surprisingly their isn’t really any despite a few apps all of which you can uninstall but as someone who has only really had flagship devices besides a Huawei I’m truly impressed. xiaomi might be my new go to from now o
Q: Does the phone ship with Malware?
A. No. Out of the box, Bulldog detected no Malware.
Q. What is MIUI?
A. Essentially it is a custom tweak (specific to Xiaomi) of the stock Android image. Huawei uses EMUI. OnePlus uses OxygenOS. Oppo uses ColorOS, and so on.
Q. Does the phone ship with Bloatware?
A. Yes. The apps are not harmful, but if let to run in the background they will push nagging notifications to the user. There are a few you cannot uninstall (like Security, Mi Browser, Mi Music) but if you revoke permissions and remove notifications they will lie dormant. This is an essential step to have a normal Android experience because they are simply not necessary and there are better and more trusted Play Store equivalents.
Q. What are your overall thoughts, and are you pleased with it?
A. Having recently damaged a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ the criteria was to get a phone as quick with as many features but for under 500. This phone is quicker than the Samsung. It supports 24 bit HiRes audio over wired headphones. It is perfectly loud and perfectly bright. It has a 120W power supply which charges to full in 20 minutes, no more overnight charging. The MIUI layer offers an iPhone-esque experience the way app windows transition and the quick settings menu is just as intuitive.
This phone is a very nice piece of kit.
