After ordering other solar fountains that did not work I took a chance and brought this one and set only to find the remote was not working so replaced the battery and it all worked and we are really happy with it and the lighting is fantastic it shows how you get what you pay fo
Very pleased with this fountain. It has good power, loads of different ‘spouts’ so different patterns, it is very simple to get working, you literally turn the solar panel towards the sun and the little motor starts whirling instantly, plenty of cord from the panel to the fountain so able to place it just where I wanted it. Would recommend
Have had a few version of solar pumps in the past, this one seems to be the best so far. Only wish is that there was some build in battery / buffer on the panel, to keep it going when minor clouds pass…..don’t need it to run on for hours, just maybe 30 mins.
The big surprise on receiving the box was how small the whole assembly is which does not come across in the Amazon details. The physical sizes and specification details, as written on rear of the solar panels, are:

It also comes with a 1m length of 9mm ID / 11mm OD clear plastic tubing to connect it to a water statue.
When assembled and put to float on the pond water, after a few minutes it starting pumping which was a surprise as it was a cloudy day with no sun. The pump assembly has an input filter with 9 slots that are 25mm long and 1.5mm wide. These could cause the filter to block up if algae/weeds find their way near the pump input but this is easily to remove with a quick swipe of the finger and it only happens after a number of days of continuous operation anyway. A regime of checking occasionally for blockage is a good idea. For me one of the best features of this pond pump assembly is that it is so simple with no battery to go flat or fail.
So yes, the advert is completely accurate in all respects and I am well pleased with its design, compact size and its operation.
I like the fact that it just keeps on working. Having the remote to control stuff is also very useful and I have duplicated the remote’s commands so I can control the fountain with Home Assistant and therefore Alexa.
Colour combinations at night are really pretty.
I like the ability to control the height of the spray as we can reduce this so water doesn’t spray outside our container.

Very pleasantly surprised at the power of this solar pump. When I saw the size of the pump I thought it was going to be useless. However, after fitting it this morning, it is very powerful. I have now ordered a second one to fix to the other flower water spout shown in the video. It stops running when the sun goes in but that is usual and not a problem. I also have a big filtered electric pump in the pond so the solar ones are just for extra oxygenation and to look nice. If the electric pump stops for any reason, at least the solar pumps will be a back-up.
I was bit sceptical on the solar water fountain as we dont get much sun in UK but after trying this one so far for a week,I am impressed,it does work in the evening too!

The pump is very powerful in direct sunlight but also works when it’s bright without direct sunlight.
This is huge advantage compared to some of the other brands that only work with direct sunlight.

I successfully manage to soak myself the first time I set this up. Trying the fountain heads was the only way to find out the spray patterns and the first was especially wide, missed the barrel and soaked me…. The second was even better…. Fast spray, wide beam and seemed the rest of me…
By the time I got to the head I found perfect, I was very thoroughly wet….. So… Besides it’s fountain purpose on hot days it’s doubles as a cooling spray
