Who doesnt need a trusty Toast Duck in their lives?! A bit of fun, and practical too, to stop the kids (and me) burning our fingers on hot toast and other goodies. I love it so much I bought one for my Dad – who also likes toast. And ducks.
Only problem is, for some reason I always get the theme tune to Stingray in my head when I use them… (Toast Duuuck, Toast Duck! Duh duh duuuh duh, duh duh…)
Works a treat, no more jigging the toaster leaver and trying to catch the toast or sticking metal cutlery into the toaster. Accidentially melted our last ones so this was a replacement. It’s great!
The quality is great and has a ceramic feel with a rubber tip for heat resistance. The tongues themselves are a little small but that doesn’t affect the overall use of the product and durability. It’s adorable and worth the money by far.
These things look cute on the counter.
When they first arrived, I wasn’t fussed on their practicality as the don’t flex like usual tongs. But actually they’re perfect for toast if you use them right: just slide them in and let them grip, don’t even try to squeeze. Now I use them every morning.
Why have I not bought these sooner just what I needed, funny duck gimmicky toast tongues. Handy for grabbing crumpets and pancakes from the toaster instead of fiddling around trying to stab them with a folk, I absolutely love them.
Mum kept sticking a metal knife in the toaster to retrieve her toasted toast! Mums eh?
They were a huge hit! She loved the duck design and ease of use. Mum actually took it to her Thursday bingo club to show her friends, kind of like a pensioner show ‘n’ tell.
I love hot toast and want to eat it straight from the toaster, but my toaster won’t lift the bread high enough for me to get a good grip on it. These are great, not only because they’re silicone and so no problem with any electrical parts (though switching it off is a good idea) and I can slide the tongs around both sides of the slice to pull it out without it breaking in the middle. I bought these more as a novelty rather than anything I thought would be practical but I use them every day, they’re great and I love looking at them on my work surface.
Nice looking, fun design. But not very comfortable to use, it can pick only very thin and very light slices of bread. Tongs are not opening wide enough and are soft silicone, can’t hold good.
I bought these after I got sick of burning my fingertips when removing crumpets from the toaster.
Sure, I could have gone for plain, basic tongs. BUT! Now I have this quacky boi. They genuinely bring me joy every time I use them, and I haven’t once regretted buying them.
I will say they’re fairly dinky, but work perfect for the purpose and dont take up much room.
Really like these coz I love a funky kitchen gadget…they were smaller than I’d imagined (even tho it does say toast tongs, so probably me…..) but they are cool and useful all the same
These silicone toast tongs were smaller than I thought that they would be, they get toast and thin bagels out of the toaster but are useless when it comes to Hot Cross buns which is why I purchased them. Because the tongs are in a fixed shape they don’t open and close so I was pretty disappointed with them. I gave them 4 stars because they do get toast out.
When these arrived the ends of the tongs were too close together as mentioned in other reviews. I warmed them up on the radiator and placed a wine cork between the ends to separate them: once cooled again they were perfect for getting crumpets out of the toaster. And they look great too!
Good fun, attractive tongs with silicone where they grip your toast. The silicone ends are quite thick so you can’t get them too far down into your toaster to recover the burned bits if a slice of bread should disintegrate, but if you just want them to get the hot toast and move it, they’re ideal.
Bought this for my 5 year old daughter as she’s just started to make her own breakfast.
She chose this design, I think there are others to chose from, and was pleasantly surprised at same day delivery offered.

My daughter loves it! Really keen on making everyone toast in the morning, we still have to supervise though.
But she’s comfortable holding the tongs and using them to remove the hot toast and placing on plates for us all in the house.
