This frame is a really good idea if you don’t print photos off anymore. Our house is pretty much digital and I have always wanted to try these frames out. I wasn’t disappointed. Set up is super easy and the app is simple to use. The frame is a great way to show pictures and photos are interchangeable. This would make a perfect gift but I like it so much I’m keeping it for myself!

This frame is great – it allows the whole family to send photos with captions up to 144 characters so that my aged mother can see what is going on without having to do anything. I have set it to turn on and off (at breakfast and bedtime) – my mum is very keen not to have it shining at night. The pictures are bright and clear – good resolution.
The downloadable free Frameo app (iPhone and Android) is good but on an iPhone the photos have to be in the Photos app to be accessible to Frameo – not a big problem but sometimes needs a quick import into Photos to get the correct image. The images appear almost instantly on the frame once they are sent – no matter where in the world they are sent from. Only people with a password can connect.
We also use it to send a message (sort of greetings cards) BUT to later delete images from the frame can NOT be done remotely (through Frameo) and has to be done at my mum’s house on the frame itself.
Otherwise its excellent – really pleased with it and can’t see the benefit in paying any more.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersA fantastic frame for enjoying a wealth of memories old and new. This intuitive, interactive and bright frame really exceeded my expectations from its build quality to its ease of use. The micro SD card and USB slots are extremely useful, but I love the interactivity with the Frameo app. The ability to adjust photo brightness, picture and frame orientation, photo background, daily schedule and focus of each picture makes this really customisable. It even shows 15 seconds of video with (if you want it) sound!!

The product was brought for our anniversary to the misses, it was easy to set up with everything described clearly in an easy way to understand. Only issue I had is you set up the owner as a friend rather than a setting ownership. However it’s provides a verification code so that friends and family can also contribute to the images. You set the images up like a slideshow allowing you to arrange each image with its own settings. So timing of each image, also if its landscape or portrait even if you want to close in on the image taking out some of the background.

So over all I am very please with the purchase and will order more if required or refer the product to those close if they desire getting one themselves. So thank you!

A really great product. My husband and I love it! We are super impressed by the high resolution. It’s so handy to have a digital frame that rotates pictures by itself – it reminds us of many wonderful memories. I also love the feature of a timer that can automatically turn on and off every day. Definitely recommend!

This is a lovely frame made out of real wood. You can see the wood on the back since only the front of the frame is painted black. It can both hang on the wall or stand somewhere.
Have in mind that it looks very different to the product photos, the edge of the frame is not flat as pictured but it makes it only more beautiful but still, this is not what I expected or ordered.
It was easy to put a picture inside, even a thick mosaic did fit nicely inside.
For the price I can’t really complain, I have seen lower-quality frames for much more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lovely, real wood, different design.

EDIT: After communicating with the seller, the problem mentioned below was sorted out and it looks as if we were just unlucky with the first frame we received.

    ORIGINAL REVIEW:

Seeing as we requested this particular frame to hold a small print which was a gift from a friend, maybe we should have taken the plunge and gone with something a bit fancier. But it did look nice in the illustration.

First of all, the “glass” is not glass, it’s a sheet of flexible plastic. In its favour, it did come with a protective film on both faces, so it wasn’t scratched or marked in any way. I can’t say how long it’ll stay like that, though. Secondly, and more importantly, the wooden frame is possibly not wood. Moulded plastic perhaps, or if it does have any relation to wood then it’s compressed fibre of some kind.

That wouldn’t matter in itself, but there are very obvious dents in it, that spoil the effect. They’re not immediately visible from a distance, but anyone going up to it to admire it will notice straight away.

You get what you pay for.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not so good up close.

I looked at a few digital frames, and ultimately decided on this for in part the perceived image quality. Other digital frames use a custom email address you send pictures to, but that seems like a clunky and inefficient method. It worked seamlessly. It was easy to add other contributors, and my parents love that their kids and grandkids can silently add pictures and they just show up.

The app used to manage pictures on the frame could still use some work. It’s a little clunky, and the ability to remove/upload large numbers of pictures still has its glitches. I found the right work around for these, but I’m fairly tech savvy, so it may lead to frustration for others. Overall, through I’d recommend this product.

These black A4 frames from brand ARAS are excellent value for money. The back has several metallic catches that hold the backing board in place, rather than those small press down metal bits (that always break off.)

I framed a couple of things using these frames, even managing to get a small signed magazine inside the A4 one. See photo – top frame. It was a struggle because the magazine is too thick really, these are meant for photos. Still, I managed to get the catches just about in and taped the back with sellotape.

The frames are lightweight and hang on the wall straight, with the usual metallic hanger in the middle. You can also stand the frame up using the supplied fold out stand. Remember to peel off the plastic from the Perspex before inserting your photo. The black frame (the border) isn’t straight as seen in the Amazon pictures, it has a different design that I actually prefer – see my photo. This design makes it look like your photo has an inside border, as well as an outside one. Recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great budget frames but with a different design.

The quality of the frame is good, it has a good design that looks robust, although it is made entirely of plastic. On the back of the frame there is a leg so that it can be placed vertically or horizontally. The good thing is that the frame automatically detects the position and rotates the image. On the back side there is also a power and memory card socket.
The screen is touch screen and works quite well. And the pictures look very good. It is easy to install and configure, it allows us to change the brightness and operating hours among other options.
When we turn it on we see that it has an Android system (or derivative), which will ask us for a wifi to connect to. With this it will update if necessary. With the latest update it allows us to see the time and temperature in our location in a corner, something quite useful and that for its size does not bother us.
As for sending photos, the app is also easy to link to the frame. We will have to accept in the frame the access of the user of the app and decide what permissions he/she has. We can give access to as many people as we want.
What I don’t like is having to send photos through the app, which sends them over the internet and downloads them to the frame. This means that our photos go through a server that we don’t know who owns it or where it is. I prefer to use the SD card.
