Too early to say really, but so far so good. It’s certainly tall, and versatile but where the lever arm screws in seems cheap and I doubt it will last. The tripod’s feet are great and I like the way the leg extensions drop out when released which saves time and faffing.
The box it came in says “professional photographic equipment” but I’m afraid that is an exaggeration. If I was a professional photographer, I think this would last a few weeks max.
With that said, as a cheapy, I’m quite pleased with it… for now.
If you’re looking for a sturdy, reliable tripod to last for years and withstand loads of rough treatment, forget this one and go spend a lot more on a professional one.

This tripod is a good buy for a beginner on a budget. It’s sturdy and it feels durable. It does work well. It is fiddly to put up/down and adjust so it’s not great if you need to be able to do these things quickly.

When the Kingjoy Lightweight Aluminium 74″ Camera Tripod for DSLR camera and Phone was delivered I was curious as to why it was not fully assembled in the provided carry bag. I soon discovered that the simple reason was that it didn’t fit in the bag when assembled. Having attached the pan / tilt head to the tripod, I found that the pan / tilt handle could not be folded flat against the tripod legs and stuck out at an angle. This meant the handle had to be removed in order to fit the tripod in the bag. Care then needed to taken not to lose the small washer on the handle. Whilst the carry bag is a nice accessory, it also serves to highlight a flaw in the tripod’s design.

The pan / tilt head is attached by screwing it clockwise onto a captive bolt on top of the tripod. I found this quite fiddly and also found that panning anticlockwise started to unscrew the head, if the locking screw was not completely released, making the head unstable.

The interchangeable feet are a nice touch, but I found the gap between the bottom of the legs and the rubber foot pads too small to get an adequate grip on the small tightening wheels.

Having said all that, the Kingjoy Lightweight Aluminium 74″ Camera Tripod is otherwise well made of durable materials. It is robust and stable and has some nice features, including a quick release plate, two levelling bubbles and an integral hook for attaching a stabilising weight.

It also comes with a mount for a mobile phone or small tablet and a Bluetooth remote control that can be paired with these devices. This allows photography or videoing from a distance, making it ideal for selfies and vlogging.

Overall, the Kingjoy Lightweight Aluminium 74″ Camera Tripod is well made and robust, despite a few minor design flaws and will give good service in the right circumstances. It would make an ideal entry level tripod for the beginning photographer and could useful be for studio work where it could also be used to support additional lighting etc.

At current price of 33.99 it is competitively priced with comparable products.

1 star deducted due to minor design flaws mentioned above and the fact that the Amazon page contains some conflicting and / or misleading information.

Portability is crucial for me as I am not a professional and am using it for family purposes and we do travel to remote locations with not many around. This tripod is surprisingly lightweight, making it easy to carry around. It folds down to a compact size.

Setting up and adjusting this tripod is NOT easy but is still better than many beginner gears out there. Has easy height adjustments. You can make angles out of this and does go pretty high for 33 tripod. It has a built-in bubble level for accurate alignment if you have gone angled too far. It is a bit flimsy (or the opposite of sturdy on the ground) when put on the highest possible option though, so be warned.

While this tripod is not the cheapest option on the market, the valuea it offers is exceptional. Its durability, ease of use, and versatility make it worth every penny. I would suggest picking this up if you are a beginner photographer or using photography as a hobby or with family.

The tripod fulfilled my expectations quite neatly. Stability? Check. Versatile? Absolutely. While its capability to manage various shooting angles shone, the three detachable feet made for even more customization. The wireless remote was surprisingly convenient for snaps from a distance. Despite being lightweight, it felt sturdy. Slightly short of a standing ovation due to initial setup hitches, but a solid performer nonetheless.

Let me start off by saying that for the asking price of 33.99 (at the time of writing), this tripod is excellent value for money and I really can’t fault the build quality either.

But, let’s deal with the silly issues first, the main irritation is that you can’t actually fit the tripod with the feet and/or the pan/tilt head attached to it in the supplied carrying bag, it physically won’t fit. Secondly I find it annoying that the pan/tilt handle won’t fit between the legs cleanly when it is folded down, even though the photo on the description page shows it doing just that, this makes it more awkward to carry. Finally the head is screwed onto a standard 1/4″ threaded stud in the top of the tripod, where the ‘phone adapter can also sit. but this means that if you try and pan the camera to the left (anti-clockwise) it unscrews the head from teh tripod making it less than stable, panning to the right is fine, it needs some sort of lock to keep the head firmly screwed in place. None of these is a show-stopper, but it does display a rather slap-dash approach to the design.

Having got those gripes out of the way I will now deal with the positives, firstly I love that it can extend up to 74″ (1.88m) in height whilst remaining quite rigid and stable. Secondly I like that there are two sets of feet which can be fitted, one is rubber for use indoors and the other is metal spikes which help keep it in place on soft outdoors surfaces. The option of swapping the camera head with the camera mount is also a nice touch. The quick release mount is also useful.

This tripod isn’t as robust as some that are available and so isn’t suitable for heavy cameras with very long lenses, but for most compact or smaller SLRs it is perfectly adequate.

I wouldn’t describe it as professional standard, but then it isn’t priced anyway near a professional one. I think that this would make a very good option for a beginner, as long as you can overlook the problems.

I ordered this tripod after reading great reviews myself. I was not disappointed when the tripod arrived. It was packaged very well to protect it during shipping. The tripod is a solid and sturdy piece of equipment with a great height range and even mobile phone attachments to attach your phone as well as your camera, depending on what you are using to photograph or shoot videos. It also comes with a remote switch for taking photos without anyone else to assist the photo taking. I am very pleased with the purchase! 5* review from me all round!

I selected this tripod for my Nikon D7200 to take some static videos/landscape photography. For the pice that it’s offered at, I was surprised by ts sturdiness and how it’s versatility have exceeded my expectations.

Legs: Aluminium alloy made, extending up to 74″ and lock securely with durable plastic clamps. They can flatten for ground-level photography and feature foam padding for a comfy grip. I’ve even set this up in the back of a moving car to get a driving shot and the level of adjustability is great!
Head: The 3-way pan head moves seamlessly, supporting up to 5kg – perfect for my DSLR with its 18-135mm lens. Additional features include a quick-release plate, and a bubble level for precision. Just note that you could change the head though!

Included accessories: A smartphone holder for selfies or group photos with remote shutter, spiked feet for outdoor stability, and a weight-hanging hook. A carry bag is included for portability. Though I’ve not used the remote shutter yet!

In conclusion, the Kingjoy tripod offers commendable stability and versatility at its price point. From portraits to macro shots and even smartphone photography, it excels. While some may see the plastic elements in this tripod as cheap, then you’re probably looking for something from Manfrotto and a bit more solid. For hobbyists and occasional photographers, this is a great choice and incredibly portable also!

This tripod and accessories kit feels pretty well made out of the box, once all legs are extended and locked in place with whichever feet type is most suitable for the surface it provides a pretty stable, level platform for various applications, so far I’ve used it with binoculars, phone, tablet and laser level all to good effect. Once collapsed it’s fairly compact and fits into the supplied carry bag fairly easily, with the pan/tilt platform still attached it’s a tight fit but it saves having to dismantle it everytime which is a plus point.
Overall build quality and construction is on the good side of mid range, sturdy enough for light use with mid size equipment like bridge cameras and binos but I’d be reluctant to put anything too heavy or expensive on this for fear of it not being up to task, at the end of the day it costs under 40 at time of writing so I’d imagine it’s aimed at the lower end of the photographer scale, anyone serious about photography will no doubt be spending considerably more on their equipment so this is better suited for beginners like myself or someone looking for a multipurpose platform for a variety of lighter equipment as I’ve mentioned, for that reason I’d say it’s a good buy for what it costs as long as you consider it’s limitations.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good starter set for amateur photographers

As far as budget tripods go, this is one of the best I’ve seen, certainly at this price point.
And it has many of the features of the more expensive, professional tripods without breaking the bank.
One of the best features, that surprised me when I opened the box, was that it not only packs up so small but comes with its own carry case with shoulder strap.
The other feature I was particularly interested in, and which I’d previously only seen on more expensive tripods, is that it comes with screw in feet spikes, essential for securing the tripod in place for things like landscape photography.
Of course, if you don’t want to use them, you can swap them out for some adjustable rubber flat feet instead.
There’s a good balance between lightness and sturdiness and has a nice feel about it.
The foam grips on the top of the leg are another touch which makes this tripod look and feel like something much more expensive.
You can also get great height on it, even though it backs up small enough to fit into a backback — 74in or 174cm which is more than enough for most situations.
The extendable legs slide in an out easily, but they are held in place by fairly cheap, plastic pressure clips and by exerting a little force, I was able to adjust the leg length even when the clip was secured closed. Fine if you keep to the 5g maxx load, I guess.
The other area where it feels as though this tripod has cut costs is on the adjustable had mount.
It’s really cheap and plasticky and doesn’t feel at all substantial. However, rotation (360 lateral and up and down) is smooth and you can lock off using the extending handle — useful for panning shots in movie making.
It also comes with a phone attachment and a wireless remote, making it an ideal accessory for vloggers.
    Overall, a good value tripod.

    This arrives in a neatly printed box measuring approx 42cm x 11.5cm x 12cm.

It would be easy to wrap & make a nice gift for anyone in need of a tripod.

Inside the box, the tripod is packed into a sturdy carry case with a zip opening & an adjustable carry strap which is easy to sling over a shoulder & take with you if you plan to do outdoor photography or travel to wherever you will be using your camera.

It arrives partially assembled, with 2 sets of screw in feet (one with rubber feet for using indoors or on very level, stable ground, one with small metal points suitable for planting into soft ground like damp soil or sand) in individual plastic bags I plan to keep so I can hopefully keep the rest of it clean when I get mud on the spikes.
Both sets of feet feel well made & very sturdy.
The ground spikes are not large enough to plant & rely on to keep the tripod stable or in position in high winds, but are handy for using on a lawn/beach to save the mess you’d get on the rubber feet.
They are not going to be enough to anchor this on a steep hillside all that well either.

There is a small bubble level at the top of the tripod to help you position it before adding the plate & another on the plate itself.
The plate you attach your camera to & the the handle have to be removed to fit this into the bag & arrive in plastic bags.
I would recommend keeping the bags so you don’t lose bits.

This also comes with an attachment to use for a mobile or small tablet & seems fairly well made.
It has a small remote which comes with a button battery installed – just pull the tab to let it work.

There is a built in hook at the bottom to take a sandbag/weight/tent hook, but none of those come with it so you need to provide those yourself plus somewhere to store them.

At this price point, this is an excellent option.
It takes a bit of faffing about to use as you have to assemble/disassemble each time to get it back into the bag even if you always use the same set up.
It’s definitely not professional standard but also isn’t priced as if it is & would struggle with some bigger cameras, but for most people it would be more than good enough.
