I’ve shown this Advent Jigsaw to pretty much everyone who’s popped around the house recently, and everybody loves the idea! Instead of a teeny-weeny cheap toy, bit of candy, or revealing a small seasonal picture each day in December, how about everyone getting together to put 42 pieces of jigsaw puzzle in place?!
In the display box you will find twenty four individual boxes, each holding forty-two puzzle pieces – That’s 1008 pieces in total! Each day the puzzle gets a little bigger and reveals a bit more of your Christmas tableau. The pieces fit together well and the card is punched cleanly, and the quality is as I would expect for a Jigsaw around this price.
Pleasingly, each box of pieces is numbered on the reverse so you are able to put the puzzle away after Christmas in the order that it was assembled. Next year you can do it all over again – ’tis the season!
At time of review this is priced at 23.38. It’s a comparable price to other advent calendars with toys or puzzles. Although at the top end.
Each day you will get a percentage of the puzzle which does fit together without the other pieces so you can build that section.
Eventually over the 24 days you’ll get every piece of the just over 1000 pieces of the puzzle.
The pieces feel well cut and join up together neatly which is good.
The image on the puzzle is also very well printed and defined so Santa doesn’t look blurry or anything.
If you like jigsaw puzzles, this is the advent calendar for you.
My mum loved this advent calendar. It will keep her entertained and give her something to look forward to every day until Christmas.
It is nicely packaged and has proper jigsaw pieces (we peaked before gifting it, to review it). Not flimsy thin card like in the usual Christmas stocking fillers.
The price is high for what it is. A good quality 1000 pieces Christmas puzzle is about 9. This one is trickier to make a someone has to separate the pieces into sections before packaging, plus packing into small numberes boxes will require a higher level of industrial process. But even then, i feel it has a price tag just for the “Christmas” theme.
Having said that, finding something original and constructive and that makes my mum happy is worth that much! And it lasts forever, plus the boxes will make a calendar next year with other fillings.
This is something a little different for an advent calendar, being a jigsaw in which you complete a certain number of pieces each day. It’s really good, and the end result of the puzzle is nice and festive. Four stars.
This is such a great idea for an adventure calendar. Each day you get a section of the puzzle to complete, which is fun and calorie-free! You can work on it together with a partner or kids which is nice too.
The pieces in each section have that day’s number on the back, which is great as it means that you can dismantle it and put them back in the right boxes so that it can be reused, either by you on a future year or by another family if you take it to the charity shop! Much more sustainable than a chocolate one.
The jigsaw is decent quality though it does seem like the picture could be slightly better – there are a couple of things like dogs and a sled that look very much like bits of clip art that have been pasted onto the image! But overall this is a great idea and quite nicely produced.
Ordered this for my mother in law and it looks great! Comes with a different box for each day. Will update my review when it comes round to the time of use!
December brings the magic of Christmas and the joy of piecing together a festive story. This Advent Calendar Jigsaw Puzzle became a delightful daily ritual. The anticipation built with each piece, revealing Santa Claus in his element. Some days were challenging, offering a good mix of complexity. The quality of the pieces was noticeable, each snugly fitting into the other. Dismantling it was almost as fun as putting it together, knowing it can be a tradition for years to come. It brought a different kind of joy and anticipation to the Christmas countdown.
There are advent calendars for everything, and we’re onto puzzles now.
This advent calendar is essentially a novelty 1000+ piece puzzle, on easy mode because each of the 24 small boxes contains an isolated piece of the entire puzzle making it much easier to assemble than a jumbled up set of 1000+ pieces.
It depicts the nativity scene and includes a poster showing how the scene should look in case you’re still finding any level of difficulty.
It’s fun to put together as a religious family and you can of course break up the puzzle and shake it up if you want to make it more difficult the second time around.
Is a vet festive and well thought out advent calendar. It’s a really fun alternative to chocolate ones as everyone can enjoy this together each day putting a little puzzle together each day in the end completing the big puzzle.
Print quality is really nice, there are no missing pieces and I’ve really enjoyed it.
This is a fun jigsaw puzzle organised into 24 boxes for advent. My daughter will really enjoy putting the puzzle together through advent.
The pieces are made from reasonable quality card.
Value for money isn’t the best as (at the time of writing) you’re paying over 20 for a 1008 piece jigsaw which is expensive, though of course you’re partly paying for the fact that it’s been organised into 24 small boxes.
Took a leap of faith with this product and was pleasantly surprised. You think you’re getting a regular jigsaw puzzle, but it’s a calendar with a twist. It has 24 separate little puzzles that combine into one large scene. It’s been a daily escape for me. Each box has its own set of pieces to complete a mini-puzzle, which is perfect for short breaks. When put together, the entire image has a charming, almost magical feel to it. The pieces are well-made, snapping together with that satisfying click. I found that I could also dismantle it easily due to grid numbers on the back of each piece. Quite an engaging experience.
Perfect for nerdy jigsaw types, and I am thinking of myself here. 42 pieces a day, which forms a simple section and therefore won’t be particularly difficult. Twenty four of those make up the full puzzle, and as you get closer to Christmas, move of the puzzle is complete.
A couple of things add to the longevity here. First, the pieces are marked on the back so that you can get them all back into their individual boxes and repeat in another year (or pass it on someone else). Second, you can just jumble all 1,008 pieces together in a bag and treat it like a normal puzzle.
Good quality pieces and a high quality gift.
This is a fantastic idea. Little boxes each with a section of the big puzzle. Better than your usual tiny chocolate. In order to give an honest review I had to open them all one by one and finish the puzzle. It’s a very pretty end picture, perfect for christmas.
If you have a jigsaw lover in your life, this is the advent calendar for them.
What a lovely idea to gift a jigsaw fan!
This is a regular jigsaw, but the pieces are divided into 24 boxes so that part of the jigsaw can be revealed every day leading up to Christmas .
I will be keeping this for myself for Christmas but peaked in one of the boxes and the jigsaw pieces are very nice quality.
The box numbers are on the back of the jigsaw pieces also that it can be returned to the correct boxes for the next year or for gifting on

Christmas is coming, and yes – it begins too soon; I try to avoid Christmas until after November 5th, but I’ll bend to review this item.
Genuinely cross-generational gifts are rare, and while this won’t suit the very young with the small puzzle pieces, for children and adults, it’s a lovely way to start Christmas early.
Early because as an Advent Calendar, this will be opened at the beginning of December and counting down to Christmas Eve, so as a gift, this item must arrive then or just before. That is, after all, an advent calendar’s purpose – yet the unique selling point is, in this case, that calendar is a jigsaw. The main box contains 24 smaller boxes, each containing some 42 pieces, and these 24 boxes will eventually assemble the 1008-piece puzzle.
These pieces are well made of their type and seem durable, and I like that the main box includes a poster image of the completed puzzle, in this case, a classic festive scene for the last hundred years or so, with Father Christmas, a Christmas Tree, in a well-decorated room, along with presents, toys and dogs.
So plenty going on, and it’s snowing outside. Winter is coming.
It’s easy to look at these things individually. The cost of a poster and the puzzle, etc. If it were just a 1000-ish piece Jigsaw, the asking price of 25.99 at the time of writing would be high, as you could get two good 1000-piece jigsaws for the price on Amazon. Still, a good product is more than the sum of its parts, and together, these things at Christmas, for adults, for children, for both, make a fun gift, and this is where the real value lies.
I liked this a lot.
What a fantastic idea this Advent Calender is.
The perfect gift to give to my Grandma who loves puzzles and is in a Home to keep her occupied on the run up to the big day!
Box contains 24 individually numbered red boxes in total, each containing 42 jigsaw pieces.
Varies in difficulty levels between each box to add an additional level of anticipation.
Can be reused each year or past on due to the lack of date on the box.
Overall its unique, fun and reusable.
Highly recommend
I have never seen an advent calendar like this and I was super excited to have such a unique one.
This advent calendar is split into 24 days to cover the 24 days before Christmas. Each day you receive a small box that contains some puzzle pieces inside so you can start building the Jigsaw.
It’s such a fun idea to see the Jigsaw grow over the days of the month until finally on Christmas Eve you have a full jigsaw put together.
This jigsaw puzzle advent calendar is ideal for anyone who wants to combine a puzzle with counting down to Christmas.
There’s a nice Santa scene depicted, which is broken down into 24 boxes of 42 pieces, each making a 1008 piece jigsaw.
This can be kept as a standard jigsaw after completion, making the fun roll on to future years.
This is a nice jigsaw and the daily task of doing a new one and adding to the greater picture will be really appealing to many.
Overall, this is good quality, fun to do and a nice alternative to the standard types of advent calendars.
It is a little early to open all the boxes, but we had a good look at the first couple and got the idea. We actually quite liked it and instead of giving it away as a gift, we will be keeping it for ourselves. As our children have flown the nest, we have been trying to find things that we can do together in the run-up to Xmas and this can certainly be part of a new set of traditions going forward – we suspect this will be fun with a glass of wine.
This is a great advent calendar for jigsaw lovers. The individual boxes are colourful and numbered up to 24. Each day you make up a section of the puzzle. This is great for adults and kids. The jigsaw pieces are sturdy and appear to be of good quality. The set also comes with a large poster of the final jigsaw alongside the same picture on the box. I felt the set was probably a little on the pricey side but is a great gift to others or yourself and was pleasantly surprised.
This is a really different idea as it splits this thousand and eight piece puzzle into 24 boxes allowing you to complete a section each day as part of your advent festivities. I have had a little look at the pieces and it seems really well printed and substantial and due to the size of each box, essentially a 42 piece puzzle each day meaning any children of mixed abilities can do this with ease especially when there is some parental help. Each day finishes its own section so you don’t need to worry about it being too hard. I particularly like that each advent day is also printed on the back allowing you to rebox and reuse in future years.
This is such a fantastic idea for a Christmas countdown! Ww absolutely love a Christmas jigsaw so when I saw this I knew this would be perfect for us. Unlike traditional advent calendars holding chocolate, this one releases a number of jigsaw pieces each day to build a jigsaw puzzle with a cute and traditional Christmas design. I can’t wait to get this out in December and spend a little time each day doing a jigsaw puzzle as a family.
I always hated the cheap chocolate advent calendars, and I always tried to find an alternative. I’ve never seen the puzzle one and it’s such a great thing. I really love it. In addition the box can be reused for home made advent calendar next year.
Total puzzle count: 1008 (42 pices a day) over 24 days. Makes a puzzle 70×50 cm
I would buy again and I would recommend. I hope my review and photos were helpful
The idea of an Advent jigsaw puzzle is an interesting one. This jigsaw has a festive theme of Santa delivering presents on Christmas Eve to a house that’s decorated for the festive season. That said, it’s inescapable that some parts of the images in the picture look a little odd as they’re out of proportion – but the golden labradors that feature may hold appeal for dog lovers.
This is a jigsaw puzzle that will hold appeal for children in the main as there are both the dogs and a good many toys in the picture. That said this Advent calendar is something that could be enjoyed every day in the run up to Christmas by the whole family and indeed by any visitors who may pop by.
There are 24 red numbered boxes in the pack – very suitable for putting on display – and each contains 42 pieces that make up the 1008 piece jigsaw puzzle. Only with the final box on Christmas Eve can the jigsaw be completed – a nice touch that reflects the magical nature of the festive season.
