I have just used it to go away for 4 days. I love it. IT is light to use and move and has more room than you think. I Would recommend it to anyone.
I love this cabin bag for a short trip away (I was only away for 2 days). I do miss having a zip outer compartment though to put travel items in, like paperwork, odd items. I had this on my last small bag. However this one is highly manoeuvrable, light and does the job. overall I would recommend i
The wheels are so smooth that you can walk with this luggage so comfortably. Inside could be easily separated into two compartments. Cannot make the luggage bigger but easy to use.
Bought this case to fly with Ryanair. As it has storage on both sides, one with the usual clip function and one with a contained zip to secure, it meant I was able to pack enough clothes for a weeks holiday in the sun! The case is lightweight but sturdy, 4 wheels makes it easier to manoeuvre around busy airports.
Accepted by the majority of budget carries and fits overhead bins just fine. Not sure how long it will last but it’s light and holds quite a lot of stuff of a long weekend trip.
Update: Aerolite have kindly offered to replace the case free of charge. As such, I’m upgrading this review, thanks to their customer service! Original review below.
One year in, I confess I’m not enthusiastic about the build quality – the material next to the zipper has torn, leaving a hole in the case. This is in combination with some persistently stiff wheels which mean that a chunk of the time it’s been more of a chore to drag along than it should have been.
Accepted by airlines and fits overhead bins just fine. Not sure how long it will last but it’s light and holds quite a lot. Certainly combined with an under seat bag this would be quite ample for a 2 week trip
The irony of the QC Passed sticker next to a zip without a tag made me chuckle.
Not a serious issue as I can slip a ribbon through the loop to make the zip work more easily, but still…
There are no contact details for Aerolite to let them know that their item made in China was not up to scratch. I am hoping the seller will be able to inform Aerolite about this small glitch. Not used the case to travel yet, so cannot comment on the rest of their claims on performance.
Bought to fit KLM specifications. Very light and spacious. My daughter has got 2 weeks worth of holiday clothes (no toiletries) into the case with space to spare. Very pleased. Would recommend.
Bought this for a month long trip to Canada, it sustained Heathrow Airport, mile long walks, being thrown in and out of a van or truck bulging with 30kgs of kit. It has a couple of battle scars which mostly rubbed away. Worth every penny.
all is good, light, quick delivery, but the handle for some reason keeps falling down even when the button is not pressed. And they make a very loud noise if the terrain is not very even, such as when you role them on the pavement they can be way too loud compared to our other suitcases
This case is okay I guess but you’re not going to get a huge amount in it.
I bought it for my 11-year-old to use for a school three-day trip and we struggled to get what she needed in, however, after jiggling things around it did all go in.
It is light and easy to move around but on ours the zip kept sticking and it didn’t fill me with confidence on it lasting so in the end I returned it based on the zip issue and also the handle was in my opinion a little weak and flimsy.
I think for an overnight bag it’ll be perfect but don’t expect to get loads in.
Would it last you? Um; not sure.
I have only used this luggage once since I bought it. Aesthetic wise it looks good and can pack quite a bit in there. My trip was for one week and I could fit in a few outfits and 3 pairs of shoes (a pair of flat, sandal, and fit flop). Although I was going to warm destination so my clothes were thin and light so I can pack more. I think for a weekend trip it will be sufficient.
The luggage rolls easily along a smooth surface but it gets tricky when I roll it on the streets or pavement. The luggage doesn’t pull very well, it scratches the bottom of the suitcase and makes scraping noises. I feel like I have to lift my arm higher to pull the suitcase along to avoid the scraping, which isn’t that comfortable to do.
Overall the suitcase is good. Will see how it goes as I travel more with it!
I loved this product. I’ve seen people saying that it got beat up during flights but if you take this as carry on luggage you will have no problems. I travelled across six flights with this thing and it only got the tiniest cosmetic scratching due to it being moved. I mean, they’re barely even noticeable and who cares? It’s a scratch and it’s gonna happen. It has plenty of room, can travel for free so even though the cost may seem high but if your flight allows for a free carry on luggage bag then this is certainly cheaper than the approx 100 charged by most airlines if it does not fit into the dropper. Multiply this by the number of flights and you’ll soon realise that this thing is worth every penny.
The lock that comes with it isn’t the best and it is recommended that you take a TSA lock but this is a bad idea and allow me to explain why: TSA LOCKS ONLY HAVE ABOUT 7 DIFFERENT MASTER KEYS AND YOU CAN BUY THESE THINGS ONLINE YOURSELF. Yes, you read that correctly. Someone can easily tamper with your luggage if you have a TSA lock and then it will appear to be all fine until you have your bags inspected and God forbid find some kind of contraband. For this reason I recommend having a cheap and flimsy lock and keeping an eye on your bag because then you will at least know when your bag has been broken into. Not to mention the fact that the TSA are known for opening bags and forgetting to properly lock them afterwards.
All in all it’s a great bit of kit; it fits all the necessary dimensions for most (possibly all) airlines for it to pass as hand luggage, has plenty of room, and doesn’t look bad either. I would recommend this model personally.
