Great fountain for the price. Produces a spurt of about a foot and works constantly in direct sunlight. Assembly in simple and minimal with a choice of several roses – each one giving different amount of water ‘jets’. This was a gift as a replacement for a malfunctioned mains fountain and it has managed to give a new life to the pond. Very pleased!
Fountain works in sunlight, when a cloud comes over it stops but take note the fountain is still charging, then when it’s dark the fountain and lights come on and looks quite pretty.
There is a selection of different fountain spurts come with it too.
Nice water fountain ,and light displays.
Has different water sprinkler attachments for different displays. Looks great at night with lights and water feature going at the same time. Like the remote control for changing power levels and light options.
I bought this 3.5KW fountain hoping to put it in my birdbath.
After experimenting with different options of nozzles the water shot up to 50cm height in full sun. As the birdbath is shallow all the water was ejected onto the grass within a very shot space of time.
This pump is too powerful for a bird bath and would be more suitable in a small container pond or half barrel in order to make a water feature for your garden.
I bought this over a year ago and it is still working well as a water feature in a large container.
I have recently bought a 1.5kW solar powered floating fountain from the same manufacturer for my bird bath which works very well even when it’s not in full sun.
A lovely water fountain for even the smallest of gardens!
I bought a fountain to put in the yard. To be beautiful. Our cat drinks from the fountain and plays. Very good quality arrived. There are several bouquets. I recommend such a fountain for the yard, it is very beautiful.
Great priced product, that works as well as it should, this is the third one I’ve bought, I had one for myself and have bought another two as gifts, that should tell you everything you need to know. It takes a while to fully charge up, but works fine as soon as the sun hits it, the charging to 70percent, that is needed to work without sunlight takes a while, but once charged it tops up easy and works great in cloudy conditions.
What a great fountain! I’ve just moved house and have a garden which I thought would be lovely to make a water feature and listen to the sound of running water.
Please forgive the “bucket” used I plan on getting a large plant pot with stone etc but couldn’t wait to try this out. It has lots of attachments for different water flows. Love it so far. Not sure if I’ll use the light up feature yet but there if I want too.
Runs silent other than the sound of the water. Can’t wait to set it up fully!
Had for about a year now and still going strong. It works pretty well in partial shade but obviously better in full sun. Choice of water spouts, frogs weren’t quite so keen so have had to take out until they hibernate for the winter.
Even it is made with small pump 1.4 W,but does the job,water pumps fine. So easy to use,just turn the midlle ball to adjust to your required mode. And just put in the watter. Solar batterry looks well made. Now I can enjoy my morning coffee with this new garden decoration. Would recomend to my friend.
There is no battery on the product so the sun does not ‘charge’ it as such: all it does is power the pump that creates the water spray. As a result, unless there is direct sunlight, all the fountain does is spurt and splutter every second or three (only during the day – at night it is completely still). It will not work where there is no sun. THIS IS NORMAL. (And it doesn’t bother me in the slightest.)
Right, having got that out of the way, what can I tell you ? What I love about this item is the rotatable centre. (I didn’t even realise this when I purchased it as I hadn’t read the advert properly.) The fountain it replaced had a fiddly interchangeable system that was much less user-friendly. (In fact, I have mislaid one of the parts, hence the need for a new unit !) With this one it is all built in and the spray variations are excellent.
The other feature that makes it for me are the four translucent (L-shaped) ‘straws’ that simply push into place on the underside of the panel. They mean that the fountain doesn’t ever float across to one side so much less water is lost (some inevitably will be regardless, when it is windy – unless you have it in a large pond or similar). So you know, as it is important, the measurement across with the straws in place is about 47cm. I have it set up in a bird bath with a 60cm diameter and it is so much better than the one it replaces, which I had to weigh down with a (very unattractive) wire and stone to stop it drifting to the sides. The straws provide a fantastic addition to this unit; they are also far less conspicuous than what I was using !
So why four stars ? Well, I bought this primarily for the spinning water feature but, for some reason I cannot fathom, it will not work ! The water comes out of the holes fine but it doesn’t rotate. Such a shame. If I hadn’t been able to find another setting that doesn’t shoot the water too high or too wide (there was just the one for my 60cm dish that worked), I would have returned it. But it looks smart and those straws are a vital part of its effectiveness.
My advice to you is not to leave the fountain running when you go away (if you place it in a set-up similar to mine) because the water level WILL eventually go down and if you run the pump dry you are virtually certain to damage it. Simply take it out and store it in a bag (or face down) inside somewhere until you return.
I hope that this item lasts for as long as the one it is replacing has. The solar panels will, I am sure, eventually discolour and look awful but this hasn’t stopped the other one functioning properly at all year after year and if I hadn’t lost the attachment I need for it, I wouldn’t have purchased this one – but now I am glad that I did.
At the present time I am unable to comment on longevity but, as is my wont, I will update this review accordingly should the unit cease to operate as it should.

Review update. It’s still working fine but I’m going to adjust this review in light of experience. I first used the solar fountain in a birdbath but found that after a few days it stopped because the water had evaporated. If it is very warm and windy the fountain of water evaporates quite quickly so I gave up on that and just lobbed it into my garden pond where it has quite happily been fountaining away even in low sun. I have taken out to clean the algae off it twice but apart from that it’s good. If you have a largish container of water such as a large tub or barrel it will be fine.
This solar pump is great for small ponds. It works well in both full sun and shade though the fountain is less powerful in the shadows obviously. My only slight quibble is the pump and nozzle get clogged up and need to be cleaned out at least once a week. Would suggest 2 for a medium size pond.
The wife bought this…I scoffed said it wouldn’t work but it did…pretty well too. Even on an overcast day it kinda sputters along. On the other hand I may still be proven right if I’m patient but it’s still going a few weeks later so who knows.

This solar powered fountain works beautifully in direct sunlight. Overcast days are more of a challenge but I’m delighted with the purchase.
I used string and a weight it keep it from moving around the pond and like previous reviews have said this prevents the water being sprayed over the edge of the pond
