I love the design. Production excellent. Gaming not that fast but still you can play all the AAA games. All steam games. I highly recommend it for those who wants affordable laptop. Thank you seller!
The Asus TUF laptop is great all rounded laptop.
Pros:
– Can play majority of the games with graphics set to high
– Design is also very nice
– Value for money compared to other brands.
– Also not heavy and you can take with you.
Cons:
– The laptop can get hot and you can also feel the heat through the keyboard area. I bought a Laptop Cooling Pad to help keep the laptop cooler.
– Battery life is not that great but just plug it in when you game. It has different battery life options to select from, but that has an impact on performance.
We purchased the laptop for our son to allow him to do homework/gaming.
We got it at a sweet 650 and it’s smashing.
We purchased another laptop the next day!
Only issue I have is the Wi-Fi adapter is terrible. It disconnects all the time. So I invested in a upgraded AX210 adapter that was super easy to install and wasn’t expensive at all (22)
I also upgraded the RAM as 8gb is pretty naff, so got another 8gb and now run 16gb of RAM and that’s plenty. Also a cheap investment.
Would recommend to anyone who wants a decent cheap gaming laptop. But you might want to do a couple cheap upgrades.

Super laptop . Does what it says on the advertising. If you’re young and confident with windows 11 a great buy. I am 70 and used to android so it’s a challenge to me. It is expensive but you get what you pay for. Great device. Highly recommended.
I bought this to use as an alternative to my high end gaming PC. It runs every modern game I’ve played just as well as my 1500+ PC if not better. Its fast when browsing and with the RAM and SSD upgrade is really good value for money. A lot of people moan about the fans but if you have headphones on or even the volume on slightly you don’t really notice it. Its not obnoxious as some people make out. Overall brilliant value for money.
Overall I’m very happy with it – it runs fast enough and is very robust. There are some compromises, but I feel they are reasonable for the price.
Slight negatives – only two USB-A port (it does have a USB-C and a USB 4.0 port as well), so a USB hub is necessary if you have more than a couple of devices – and it comes with only a 500 G-byte SSD – although it’s possible to fit a second one if you’re prepared to take the back off your machine. You can also change the fitted memory if you want more. There are You-tube videos to show you how. I will probably do so, although I haven’t built up the courage yet. The built in camera is also only 720P, but that’s not a big deal for me.
The multi-coloured keyboard background lighting is a bit gimmicky, but it’s easily adjustable to a single colour or even off completely.
I’m playing the odd game on it such as Sniper 5 and Scum, seems to handle these games well enough with very minimum lag. It does lag now and again doing simple tasks such as browsing the Internet, but I do leave alot of pages open so this might be a ‘me’ problem not the computer. The only downside for me is battery life this is drained very quickly.
But over all for this old timer I’m happy with what I need it for.
Oh that flashing keyboard does my head in to, tried to turn it off but just comes back on.
I’ve only had it a few days, but so far it’s a good replacement for my tuf 15 from the end of 2019.
The Ryzen 9 7940HS is reasonably grunty, and the Nvidia rtx 4070 seems to cope with everything.
Latest DDR 5 ram keeps up.
Feels well screwed together.
No frills.
Should be future proof for a good while.
The SSD should really have been 1TB, but it comes with only half of that. This means you will likely need an SSD upgrade almost immediately (potentially voiding any warranty).
Screen shows patchy bleed though when displaying black screen, and generally isn’t up there with the best, but it’s not a big deal for me and is reflected in the competitive price.
I took a long time comparing specs and I’m happy I ended up with the best perfomance-v-price solution.
The chips run quite cool too, which was something I was keen on.
If you can afford it, get it. You are unlikely to be disappointed.
So far I’ve used it to play Baldur’s Gate 3, RDR2, and Remnant 2 at 4k. I get solid 60fps in all of them and could go higher but I always limit games to 60fps in the nVidia control panel anyway.
At high load the fans aren’t as noisy as some reviews have made out but this is my first gaming laptop so I don’t really have much to compare it against. I do have the laptop angled up from the back to increase airflow so maybe that is the difference.
It’s also my first computer where I’ve got a mix of AMD (cpu/gpu) and nVidia hardware but it’s been less of an issue than I thought it might be.
It came with Win11 Home which came with a bit of bloatware from Microsoft. I’d read a lot of complaints about the ASUS Armour Crate software but I’ve found it to be really easy to use. I’ve got it set to trigger certain profiles when a game launches or when I’m encoding etc and that’s been good.
I can’t speak much about battery life because, as I use it for gaming/video encoding, I’ve always got it plugged it for max performance.
Overall extremely satisfied with the purchase and performance.
My only criticisms would be:
1. 16GB RAM seems a bit stingy. I upgraded to 32gb immediately.
2. Installing the RAM (and an extra nvme drive) was a bit of a faff – there were a lot of screws to deal with and the instructions in the manual were slightly unclear. Thank god for youtubers!
I won’t knock the score down for those though because 16GB might be enough for some.
Temps were also decent too (tho I’m using a cooling pad) at like mid 70s
Bought for church song lyric projection and music playback using dedicated apps as well as Powerpoint, Youtube, Spotify, so good graphics capability and speed was a high priority in our choice of model. This seems to meet that need very well.
Setting it up is a bit of a pain but this is more down to Microsoft Windows 11 than the manufacturer, in particular that I wanted to use the same login credentials for multiple (non admin) users as on its predecessor and not use One Drive or a Microsoft account and pin to login. Once over that hurdle it works well and is pretty quick.
I would like to uninstall the Asus “Armoury Crate” app which appears to have no value for non-gamers but keeps popping up wanting to install updates but so far have not worked out how to do so – the option is not available via control panel.
The continually colour changing backlight on the keyboard is quite annoying. I would prefer one, non changing, colour but so far have not found how to change that so have dimmed it down to off completely.
Other reviewers have said the fans are a bit noisy but we have not found this to be the case with our type of usage -projecting videos , song lyrics and playing music.
The built in loud speakers are not very loud at all and the sound is a bit lacking in depth through them. However the sound quality via the combined headphone/audio out/mic socket is very good with a high gain and minimal noise when connected to our p.a. system.
I consider the lack of vga socket (as is the case with almost all laptops these days) a downside as hdmi sockets can be prone to becoming loose and unreliable with frequent plugging and unplugging. Having both types of socket would be preferable to give resilience in the event of a failure. That said the socket on this laptop does seem a nice tight and secure fit so we will have to see how it holds up.
All in all pleased with our purchase.
It’s a bit edgy-looking but not nearly as bad as some of the others on the market, and the build quality feels pretty decent; nice fat keys with a lot of travel.
If nothing else you have something to swing at a mugger.
Picture quality is eh. Not sure what all the fuss in the marketing around the screen is about, it delivers well in terms of Hz but it’s not an OLED screen and never will be, so colours and contrasts are mediocre at the best of times. It’s not a terrible screen by any means but noticeably not ‘good’. The sound quality is pretty bad also. If you care about good sound you’ll need something external, a nice pair of headphones or speakers, preferably with a DAC attachment if you’re listening to music for any length of time, cus literally my phone has better sound.
It wasn’t clear in the marketing (from what I could see anyway) exactly what connections it came with and where, so here’s a run-down.
On the left hand-side there’s the power socket, 1x Ethernet port, 1x HDMI, 2x USB 3.1s, 1x USB-C/thunderbolt 4, and a 3mm headphone socket. On the right hand-side there’s just a USB 3.1. Seems a little lopsided to be honest, but I guess there’s plenty of power for an external hub if you want lots of connections.
By default the fans are loud and will periodically spin up and down when doing anything simple like watching youtube, but they are configurable with either an F-button on the keyboard or in the Armour Crate application where you can also do things like change the keyboard colour and give specific apps preset GPU limitations etc.
Runs most games I threw at it without much hassle, nice and powerful so it kinda makes up for the downsides. Cus what’s the point of a nice screen if minesweeper bricks it?
