I love this game and find it very enjoyable with a good story and cast of character, the sand surfing and bashing out combos against enemies is especially enjoyable.
100% recommend this game.
I bought this with a digital code but I wanted to add a review because I loved this game so much that I felt I should leave a review after seeing such mixed reviews and considering how lesser known this game is from a small developer (the same team that made The Surge, although this isn’t like that game). I gave it a chance after seeing Fighting Cowboy’s YouTube review which gave it an 8/10.
First of all, the intro isn’t the best and it can seem a bit confusing with a lot of information and tutorials thrown at you and I was honestly worried that I had made a mistake spending 50 on it but after about 45 mins when the game opens up, the fun really begins. First of all, the world looks beautiful and the art style is great but the most fun comes from the traversal and the combat which are just so much fun and the combat is surprisingly deep with lots to learn and skills to unlock etc. I love how you can keep combos going in the air to the point you can almost fly at times. Getting around by sand surfing is also a lot of fun too and really original for an open world action game like this one, even just exploring the world for collectables and side missions is excellent too and never a chore.
The only real downside is that the story is a bit forgettable but it is fine and the gameplay is just so much fun that I can easily forgive this. This is a hidden gem highly recommended from me 8/10
Just completed Atlas Fallen – so glad I did not listen to the negative reviews (I nearly returned the game before playing it because of them)
The graphics are stunning. It is a well thought out story. It’s good fun learning how to use the essence stones – they are important. Some of the bosses are tough, even on easy mode, but it’s satisfying when you learn how to beat them. You can sand surf around happily doing side quests and errands. I just did the main mission and it took me 2 months on and off to complete.
Fun stones to race and call forth
Lots of lovely touches and challenges to discover
Definitely give this game a go
For a game that in my opinion had somewhat of a stealthy release, as a gamer when I see tittles Like these I’m usually very sceptical that they will be good games but this one has been a true gem the opening is a little chaotic but from then on it’s just amazing the traversal ability alone makes the game fu
This game completely surpassed my expectations. It has some similar qualities to forspoken which made me worry but the game is just so enjoyable. Every encounter is just so fun. Additionally if you’re willing to put in the time you get really strong which makes encounters even better. The lore and story is deep and interesting and the movement is really interesting and awesome! Atlas Fallen is a great game!
