Used this to clean the alloys and also the leather steering wheel and gear stick, as well as the carbon fibre interior. Very impressed. Has a nice orange smell as well.
If you want a nice basic cleaner to use everywhere in and out of your car, then this is a great spray for the job. I personally prefer using individual products that are made for the job, but this is the sort of thing that you would keep in your car with a microfibre cloth to give any area a clean whenever you need if you’re out and about – It’s not designed for you to go and clean your car in your driveway with it.
Overall, I think this is a brilliant cleaner to keep in your car for when you need it. Would recommend!
The All Purpose Cleaner arrived safely and with no leaks or damage to the bottle.
The spray nozzle works well, the trigger feels good to use and it does a good job of diffusing the cleaner when you spray it. The orange scent smells very fresh and clean.
I been using the spray to clean various areas of my car both inside and out and it’s been doing an excellent job. It foams up when you agitate it, and it seems to have a decent amount of cleaning power. With some help with from a stiff brush the cleaner removed the algae from inside my bumper and left it looking brand new again.
The only problem I have with these APC car products is the price. For years now Ive just bought normal household APC for around 2 a litre and I create my own by mixing 60% cleaner to 40% water and it does the exact same job and just as good.
Overall, while I do think this is an excellent product I feel at around 15 it doesn’t offer the best value for money compared with other similar products. If you like buying the proper stuff though then I would be more than happy to recommend this product and I feel four stars is appropriate for it!
This is quite a large, chunky bottle you get here. It’s an all purpose cleaner, so can be used on most surfaces in the car, from seats and mats to removing stubborn dirt from the exterior.
What bothers me a little bit is the difference between what’s written on the bottle, compared with what’s advertised on the product’s page.
On one end there are some serious warnings about having to wash it off with a high pressure washer, not leaving it on for longer than 5 mins and definitely not letting it dry out. It also mentions to test on less visible surfaces first.
On the item page it’s pretty much the opposite. You can use it anywhere and just wipe it off, it’s safe for all surfaces etc. I would probably think the latter is closer to the truth. If it’s an all-purpose cleaner, it just can’t be strong enough to damage anything. The warnings probably serve more as precaution, best practice.
I tested it on the back of my car, which always gets dirty first and it had older dirt there due to some very rainy period recently. I sprayed a bit, left it for about 2 mins, just poured some water over and wiped it off with a cloth. The effect was a clean surface without any scrubbing and a nice, fresh, citrus scent.
I think this cleaner will be perfect for easing dirt on surfaces close to wheels and in general lower parts of the car. I hope it also works miracles with bird poo. 15 is more than traditional all-purpose cleaners, but they may have long lasting negative effects on cleaned surfaces. I do trust the brand and may use it next on my alloy wheels. Happy to recommend.

The scent is Autoglym’s signature, which is perfectly balanced and gives the new car feeling, the cleaning power is incredibly effective, but also gentle on both external paint work and interior trims, it’s simply amazing.
At 14.99 at the time of reviewing, this is an excellent product for those with limited storage space, one bottle does almost everything and for a great price, would definitely recommend.
This works great as an all purpose cleaner. It does what it says and can be used on pretty much all hard surfaces, inside and out. I’m a fan of their other products and this doesn’t let me down. It is of the same quality you would expect. I have their full kit so I’m not sure this replaces some of the other purpose specific cleaning products. However, it’s great for spot cleaning and can allow you to spot clean lots of different surfaces with one spray bottle, which I like. Makes that job easy. Definitely worth having in your car cleaning arsenal. Recommended.

It’s easy to use and it helps lift dirt and marks.
It doesn’t leaves smeary marks like some cleaners do.
It has a pleasant, fresh scent.
At 14.99 at time of writing it’s not cheap and you can do the job with cheaper cleaners, but this is a particularly good cleaner for car interiors and the 1 litre bottle will last a long time.
You know those times when you’ve just cleaned your car a few days back but then a seagull has taken to ruining the look? Or when bugs make a habit of dive-bombing your bonnet? Even sticky handed youngsters plastering hands on the back doors and inside the car? Well, Autoglym All Purpose Cleaner is for those moments.
I’ve used this a few times now as a quick cleaning solution for the outside of the car and it does work wonders. It’s not designed for a full clean but for quick ‘touch ups’ both on the external paintwork and metal and on the inside dashboard and sides. The spray bottle means that it’s a pick-up-and-go style product that can be used along with a decent cloth at any time to get rid of dirty patches. As someone who uses Autoglym products already, it’s a great addition to the set and I like to keep it handy by the front door whenever I need to use it.
You can get many products that can either do the interior or exterior of your beloved car at a much lower cost. But what this Autoglym excels above other cleaners is that it works equally well on the inside and outside with the knowledge that it will not discolour or damage the paintwork. The application is easy and effective. And I’m reassured that car detailing has become much easier.
I think the picture speaks for itself. Its super effective at lifting dirt and grime. I like it because it also can clean the interior. General cleaning but also heavy duty stuff, like recently I opened a can of ice coffee on the way to work and it spurted everywhere with specks of it all over the interior. As I was en route to work I didn’t have the time to clean it off before so it sat in the car park in the sunshine with it getting baked on for the whole shift. Later on I easily removed it all effortlessly.
So it’s pretty versatile but the product doesn’t mention if it works well on glass. And I’m reluctant to try it.
It works well on bird droppings too.
The trigger works well. It’s a big bottle and you get your moneys worth.
My car upholstery has been tricky to clean due to deep staining, but this product did the trick no problem.
Fairly easy to use. Spray evenly on surface, leave it for a good 15 minutes at least to do its work, use a wet micro fibre cloth and rub in circles on surface, rinse, repeat. It leaves a nice pleasant scent !

Leaves a good finished result. You get a ready to use 1l bottle of autoglym all purpose cleaner. With a spray trigger is easy to apply, spray directly onto your car. You can use it both inside the vehicle and outside; dash, carpet, seats, wheels, panels, literally anywhere. It cuts through grease and grim with ease, lifting dirt off. Spray and wipe over inside and you’re left with a clean surface with a really pleasant zesty orange scent. On the outside it helps breakthrough the dirt, spraying over a dry surface leave it to work for up to 5 minutes, or before it has chance to dry, wipe away and rinse over. With its degreasing quality’s, its perfect to use anywhere, in or over your car. Works well and smells amazing.
This product works great. It is easy to use and removes dirt and grime quickly. Works pretty good. I use it on everything, seats cloth, plastic, leather, dash etc. Really easy to use just spray agitate with a small detailing brush and wipe off. Leaves no marks and clean sruff up well. It got all the dirt out and left a clean look.
I normally use Autoglym products and for the most part they work well and do what they state. While this all purpose cleaner does clean remove grease its not a product I would say is essential. I have household all purpose sprays which work just as well for a third of the cost and find just a soap and water solution and damp cloth works fine inside the car with out all the chemicals being sprayed around. Sprayed on the paintwork it does help breakdown the dirt – nothing like those alloy wheel cleaners which you can see working.

Today I used it to clean the insides of my house windows which I hadnt cleaned in the year
the results were absolutely remarkable!
Sprayed liberally over the glass and UPVC, left for a minute or so and agitated/wiped off with a micro fibre and the muck that was removed was incredible!
Almost no streaking at all, except on windows which had been filthy and I gave them a once over with glass cleaner and a glass cloth and they look like new
Every car cleaner should have one of these in there car cleaning kit this is a high quality product from a respected brand and works very well for all areas of cleaning, 15 for 1 litre is such good value the top pump has a lock to save pumping or leaking when not in use
