So far so good. The clamp on the back grips the vent nice and snug, and it seems very stable. Very easy to use as you just push the button on the rear of the unit to release the clamp. Then just squeeze back together to hold the phone. Simple.
I hate using the GPS on my car and prefer Google Maps instead so I bought this to support my phone while driving. It works fine even though it’s not the best quality ever. Sometimes the phone can fall while you drive but it only happened twice in 1/2 years which is fine really. It does the job so I won’t complain much!
I have a Samsung S20FE with a phone case and it fits easily into this holder, still plenty of space for a bigger phone.
The holder does wobble about a fair bit, ive put some rubber on the bottom of the holder to try and reduce this,but if i could fit the holder into the lower vent im sure it would be better but it would cover the CD slot. The phone itself fits securely. Overall,especially for the price, im happy with this.
Brought two one for both cars.. mainly for when using google maps.. fits both our Samsung phones really well. And without taking them out the cases which is a bonus.
Fits securely to the air vent.. tip tho fit to the bottom vent of the vent bit so extra stable.
My phone was too heavy for my air-vents and the original clip could not keep the phone stable while driving. However, my car still had a Garmin slide lock mount base fixed to the dashboard and I had the ball joint slide lock arm and Garmin cradle with my old Nuvi 785 GPS (circa 2009). I separated the Garmin ball joint arm from the Garmin cradle and plugged the Garmin arm into the ball socket of this phone holder. It’s a perfect fit and the combination is far superior to the original vent clip. Using the Garmin slide lock and ball joint mount with this phone holder I was able to keep my phone rock steady navigating off-road on rough terrain.
I’ve never really liked phone holders, but currently needing maps for work so took the plunge with this holder after reading others reviews. Only had it a couple of days but its proved it’s usefulness already.
Easy to put in place and remove, it can adopt various angles and stay there so feels secure and is we’ll made and finished. My Samsung S21 fits well and removes unmarked. No idea of it’s longevity yet, but I will recommend it, it’s sturdy, well made and functional, it was a good choice.
