Another winner from Bethesda, yes there are a couple of flaws but hey it’s a big game. There is soo much to do and soo many places to explore. Not only hours of fun but years.
The best Bethesda game.
Play the game as you want to…..main story , factions , side quests , outpost building , exploration. It’s your choice.
There are hundreds of hours of content.
80 hours playtime so far and the game has crashed once & also have seen only one bug (an NPC sat on an invisible chair). I am playing the game from the Seagate expansion card.
I have not noticed any issues regarding the game running at 30fps. It feels fluid and smooth. Gun combat feels good in both first and third person.
Deeply flawed at times – graphically and mission wise, but
enough content to keep me happy for the next 100 hours hopefully.
This is not a Space flight sim don’t think it’s Elite Dangerous – a once great game – the space flight is more or less incidental to the story.
Speaking from my own experience I was intrigued by this new Bethesda IP that was announced some years back. Years later we had game play footage which, personally, looked so so and seemingly a No Man’s Sky replica. When they finally did an in-depth video feature at the Microsoft June event it blew my mind.
When I finally played this game I was hooked. Fallout in space sure but it is much more. I’ve not been hooked onto a single player since… I cannot even remember. Too many games have come out and they’ve been a let down by being rushed or having bugs etc. I’m so estatic with what Bethel has brought us. Microsoft gave them way more time to perfect it and it totally shows.
You can easily wander around or go from side quests to main quest. The main quest has been an incredible sci-fi ride.
What has left me most excited is imagine what future Fallout or Elder Scrolls (single players) can offer of Starfield has been this innovative and enjoyable.
Fallout 3 has its faults but it doesn’t stop it being the best sci-fi rpg ever made… I think so anyway?
And I’m not going to waffle on about
Starfield now because it doesn’t need it really.. It oozes Fallout 3’s charm, has a staggering world to lose yourself in, if you want to not even bother with its story? and has fantastic space vistas that still drop my jaw.. as well has sound and score pitched perfectly for what’s happening on screen.. Yes it is a truly an awesome title, better than No Man’s Sky (and I play it in Ps5 VR) and it only has one negative really..
I bet it wasn’t an easy decision leaving out the planet re-entry sequences in you’re ship, it does feel like something is missing but you get over it, and you really only end up skipping it after a dozen or so times.. no matter how impressive it looks first few time round.
I tell you what I love doing.. I love landing on a planet getting out of my ship and taking it all in for a minute and this is where this game truly excels. Buy it.
If your a fan of the Fallout games you will enjoy Starfield. Plays very similar and looks similar but graphicly improved and brought up to date. Like any Bethesda game there is bugs but I’ve only came scross a few
Great game . Packed with loads to keep you occupied , though sometimes it can feel overwhelming the amount of content that has been put into it leaves little space for any improvements.
10 out of 10 for me. I am 30 hours in now and can not put it down. It takes about 8 hours of play before the game kicks into gear, but after that point you know this is the best game of the yea
Dont listen to the bad reviews, it honestly takes a solid 10 to 20 hours to really get moving and for the game to open up but my word its totally worth it. wow wow wow Bethesda you have done it agai
Some very nice detail esp when you actually start to take notice with some cool and sometimes funny physics that will put a smile on your face. The great thing is how you decide to go to a quest or point of interest to a location, planet, dungeon, space station and realise what you went there for you’ve actually forgot! The reason is you start to get immersed in other things without even realising – looking around, talking to npc, examine creatures or aliens, watching non humans, enjoying the views, watching NPC actions, testing out items, find quests, start fights, and even have a laugh thanks to Bethadas unpredictable events. Even on baron areas it’s great just to walk around watching views that can give a feeling of being alone. The game does allow you a lot of freedom on approach and the side quests can have some interesting turns. A game you play at your own pace, the way you want, how you want and a game that will give you a different experience each time you play – and with firture updates, mods, dlc to arrive. This is a game that can last a lifetime.
Recommend tk sart doing the main quest for a few hours before going your own way!
This game is far from perfect yet it’s completely engrossing.
I’ve not played a game this captivating since Oblivion on the Xbox 360.
Amazing gunplay, fantastic graphics, dense worlds.
This is easily a 200 hour game and well worth the money.
Runs great on Series X too
Some very impressive detail, physics, graphics and sound in this game that really immersed me in the game. The sense of scale with exploration and adventuring, and not forgetting the dialog is far larger in scale, activity, variety of game mechanics then any game out there esp in the RPG~Adventure genre. The game takes it time to get into properly but the size of the game will keep you occupied for a very long time, and even a lifetime considering Bethesda future updates and mods that will be released over time. From walking around, watching activities, unexpected events, building ships, customisation, mining, getting into battles, flying in space, sneakingetc; this game brings so many options, styles, variety to gameplay that goes beyond many similar genre games!
