I liked this tripod originally for the phone capabilitites. However it became even more useful when realising my Dslr camera will also work on it. Compact unit with own storage bag makes this easily transportable.
Summary
Great for teens starting out making videos. Includes a handle on the mounting plate for smooth panning of shots.
Height
There are a number of height options. I chose the 63″ (1.6M) max height.
Transporting
The tripod folds to a very small size and comes with its’ own carrying bag.
Value for Money
Good value as a starter kit at 19.
In a nutshell:
Things I liked:
+ Really lightweight, well under 1kg. Mainly plastic construction but with aluminium legs. Very transportable.
+ Smartphone holder and standard quick-release 1/4″ screw to mount.
+ Love that the tripod can extend out horizontally. However…
Things I didn’t like:
– …if you do this, better make sure you weigh it down as the tripod doesn’t provide a huge amount of weight to counterbalance. In fact, the lightness of the tripod means that it isn’t the most stable with a weight at the top.
Do I recommend it?
Yes, for a lightweight portable tripod or just a cheap, occasional-use tripod.
No, if you want to keep it in one place and use it frequently – probably not substantial enough for that.
his ain’t your flimsy little thing that’s gonna collapse with a slight gust of wind. This tripod is rock solid. It feels like it was built to last, with the kind of quality that makes you think, “Yeah, this can handle my gear.”
Setting it up? Smooth like butter. The extendable legs slide out easily, and the locks snap into place confidently. Once it’s up, it stands tall and strong. Even with a DSLR mounted on it, it doesn’t wobble or shake. For vloggers, YouTubers, or even casual photographers, this tripod screams reliability. The travel bag it comes with is a nice touch, making carrying it around less of a hassle. But here’s the thing: despite being a travel tripod, it’s got some heft to it. Even when folded down, it’s still pretty sizable. Now, I won’t call it a dealbreaker, especially given its strength and stability, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re planning on hiking up mountains or trekking through jungles with it on your back.
In terms of versatility, it ticks most boxes. The adjustable head is responsive, allowing you to get those angled shots without much fuss. And, for those wondering, it’s not just limited to cameras; you can pop your phone on there too, which is handy for on-the-go content creation.
All in all, the 63.6″ Camera Tripod is a great pick.
I used this tripod in a variety of ways, both for photography and videography and for holding a projector.
The good things about this tripod are:
+ It’s fairly sturdy holding my DSLR with a light lens.
+ It’s super light
+ Highly portable (fits in a normal sized backpack)
+ Easy to set up
The bad things about this tripod are:
+ Because it’s so light, it does wobble a bit
+ Having the arm horizontally isn’t good for anything heavy – needs a counterweight or it topples over!
+ The quick release head and mount are terribly cheap and very unstable. Impossible to fully remove.
As mentioned, I used this tripod for a variety of things. For photography in good conditions, it’s a great tripod. Quick to set up, stable enough to get good photos. With longer shutter speeds and high winds, you can sometimes see the shake if the catches the camera, as the tripod will shake due to its light weight. This is expected for a tripod in this price range!
The head of the tripod has a quick release mount which is nice, but the head itself is incredibly flimsy and doesn’t match the overall product quality. I wanted to remove this, but upon doing so you are left with an unusable end of the arm with the plastic bracket remaining behind. Turning the arm over, you have a standard thread that you can put your own fluid head onto. Just a shame this is so difficult to do, given the poor quality of the head.
Very easy to adjust the tripod in terms of height, and it has a loop for attaching accessories such as a filter kit bag or similar.
This tripod is incredible for watching movies! I put my projector on there and watch videos/movies multiple times a week and it holds perfectly steady.
I think this tripod is good value for an entry-grade tripod and is excellent in decent conditions, but not what you will need if you are getting into professional videography where stability mandatory.
This is a functional and versatile tripod, which, at the current price point of under thirty quid, offers great value and durability for what is essentially a budget option. You’re getting almost 180cm of max height without the premium price tag.
The main difference you’ll notice between this and more premium tripods is the construction – aluminium and plastic combine in this to create a lightweight frame, which is perhaps a little less tough-wearing than more expensive alternatives. That said, it still feels really sturdy and stable in use, helped also by a large maximum footprint when the tripod is fully extended. The lightweight nature of the materials is, of course, a plus point in itself as well.
The pack comes with fasteners and connectors that seem largely aimed at smaller cameras, mobile devices and lightweight LED lighting rigs, which is what it’s ideally suited for – nothing too bulky and heavy on this and it will do a superb job. When mounted, the tilt head can be rotated and positioned very smoothly and has a great range of motion, which is a winner too.
It’s a more than decent tripod setup for the price, which is very much suited to hobbyist media creation for social media and similar. Light, collapsable and complete with carry bag, it’s perfect to take on trips, too. A strong four stars!
Pros:
1- This phone tripod is lightweight and very easy to use. You can use it indoors or outdoors easily as it is not very heavy. It is also sturdy.
2- It offers good functionality and different features. For example, you can adjust the height of the tripod and rotate the phone holder vertically or horizontally. You also can control your picture or video shot angle using the handle.
3- It came with a simple bag. It is very lightweight too.
4- The sponge grip gives it a more professional look.
Cons:
1- The phone holder part is not fully covered with a protective anti-scratch layer.
2- Because it is very lightweight, you need to be careful using it with heavy and large professional cameras.
Look, with something like this, you get what you buy. This could never be compared to a 50 tripod but then it doesnt per port to. However, for the price, Im very pleased with it. Its very light, reasonably stable in use and, it could reach about 177cm when fully extended, I knew that before buying. It serves my purpose very well as I wanted an extremely lightweight tripod for carrying when cycling. Although not perfect, its a well made and useful piece of kit and Im happy to recommend it.
You cannot expect a metal body and thick rubber parts for this price, in fact this Camolo phone tripod is all in plastic (metal screw parts where needed). Considering you are going to use this with your phone and not with an heavy digital SLR camera, then the light-all-plastic body is not much of an issue at this price. It extended with 4 variable length pull out legs, it has a bubble level to help set it straight. It has the phone attachment, rotating head which being all plastic it not smooth but usable. Overall you do get the feel this is all hard plastic.
For the price and as an expendable tripod to travel with, it should serve you well. Some parts though feel a bit too light like the plastic connectors in between the legs. If it had felt a bit sturdier it could have been a 5 stars.
It’s the perfect size, easy to set up and so many ways to set it up. One down side I’d say is that it’s so hard to pull and push it if you put It side ways apart from that its perfect, fits any iPhone and camera
This is a good lightweight camera tripod with a phone adaptor. It has a usual camera connection on the head so will fit most cameras, though a heavier camera is not idea because it so so lightweight. There is no quick release mechanism so your stuck with screwing and unscrewing off the camera head every time you want to go handheld or tripod, if not using a phone.
The tripod is lightweight and it comes with a little drawstring bag to keep it in, it opens up nicely and all the legs feel solid. However the clips and opening mechanism feels a little bit plastic and stiff, the clips do not feel smooth or nice to use.
The head is fine, though your not getting anything exciting, just place the camera on and screw up to tighten in the correct position. I think if you are out and about then this is good to put on your back or throw in a bag due to it being so light.
The tripod says it’s a professional level, I disagree with this because of the light weight construction this will struggle in high winds or on uneven ground. It needs a bit more robustness and thickness to it just to make sure everything is solid, the bottom of the tripod legs feels very thin.
I would say this is for the amateur photographer and ideal if just using a compact camera or a phone, its lightweight, comes with a bag and its o.k to use. It is just tricky if not using a phone as there is no quick release head.
This is a portable and light-weight tripod that has most of the features of a larger professional model, just slimmed down. It carries the usual inch x 20 thread screw atop the platform but has no locator pin. Similarly, in an effort to keep it light, there is no crank to raise the platform. Some pluses are that it has a foam carry handle and a fitted lanyard. The feet are also angled to match the ground when the legs are extended, but you can, of course, leave some portions locked home for lower height but increased rigidity and stability.
The biggest advantage of this tripod is its low weight and foldability, which make it a very portable piece of kit. It is never going to compete in a professional arena, and being so light, it is particularly prone to windmilling and blowing over if the wind conditions are too strong, but it is more stable than a selfie stick with fold-out legs, and I have compared it with that sort of device. If I was out walking with the possibility of obtaining some nature shots and wanted a more stable platform without the weight disadvantage, then this is a good choice.
I really like some of the attention to detail, such as the sprung hot shoe connector on the phone mount so that LED lighting can also be attached. The adjustment controls are a bit small, but that fits with its weight-saving paradigm. The legs telescope well, and although at first they were far wobblier than my larger tripod, they stabilised once the locks were engaged.
On the negative side, the spirit level is too tiny to be more than a close indication of level, but given the nature of the tripod, if you want precision, then you need to go for a larger, more stable model. I am going to get a lot of use out of it and am going to take it on holiday with me as I have a spotting scope, and this tripod is compact enough to carry on a coastal walk and then set up for some views of the sea and nature.
Perfect for holding my phone to record guitar videos.
Wouldnt use it outside – but at 30 odd quid. Cant go wrong; actually higher quality than i thought it would be.
This was a real step up from our previous tripod even though it cost about the same. This is very sturdy considering the price. Base is stable and tripod is nice and tall. It fits our iPhone and holds any angle required. Would buy this exact model again.
For the price it’s a bargain. The tripod is quite sturdy looks very smart.
I will be using it for video work but the main reason will be used as a Rifle tripod it looks so easy to mount a homemade clamp.
