Scent is a bit overwhelming, but overall a good, rich conditioner for frizzy, dry and wavy hair.
Just arrived and I needed to wash my hair, so perfect timing. Packaging nice. Huge bottle for price, certainly value for money. 1st evee conditioner without so many undesired ingredients to work so well, no tangled or dry rat nest clumping when brushing through after shower, combed straight through with my detangler, love it.
I bought the shampoo and the conditioner, both go well together, Good products for the price, shampoo is good and conditioner hydrates your hair well, my only issue is amazon put both in a box and the conditioner was packed with no packaging and the bottle top was open, lost the best part of half a bottle, the inside of the box and other items packed together were covered in conditioner, Surely the person packing it never checked or was playing silly games.
I was previously using Alberto Balsam conditioner on my kids who have curly/wavy hair between them but that didn’t seem great so did some research on their particular hair types and found this which seemed to fit. It’s made a real difference, it’s much easier to comb/brush through after leaving it in for a few minutes, far fewer complaints from the bath tub, the hair feels great once it’s rinsed out, it’s very thick and a little seems to go quite a long way, the scent is also lovely.
Lovely smelling product that you can use a small amount as a leave-in, too. Also good for co-washing curls if you’re trying that. I recommend using their styling products alongside – the custard is excellent.
I bought this because a new hair cut meant that my hair was now short enough to keep the slight wave it has without weighing the curls down. I’d seen more expensive brands on the market and wanted to try this.
I bought this as part of a few cantu products and together they really work! I actually get natural curls without any time curling with heat!! Just use the products and let it dry naturally.
It worked so well my 15 year old son, who has mid length hair, stole it. I now am trying to teach him to use less as its not as cheap as a regular conditioner. Although I must admit it makes his hair look lush too. He uses it without the other products and alone it still adds a natural wave.
I brought this for my daughter’s hair because its really curly. Like messy curls. This does help sometimes to calm it down but to be honest it’s still curly and unmanageable within a short space of time. It does leave hair nice and soft. It’s smells lovely.
It seems to work better on my hair which is just naturally wavy. I’ve started to use it regularly myself.
I bought this Cantu deep scalp cleaning shampoo without reading what is for ? So I was looking for deep conditioning and I come across this range and when I added the conditioner to the basket the shampoo popped up as recommended and I added to my basket. I just realised Is for deep cleaning your scalp from build up grease and all products we use on our hair. To help grow your hair and healthy hair. Even though I don’t have think hair or curly. I used it anyway . The smell is amazing. Small amount creates so much lather . Even though is not for my hair type I used with Cantu leave in condition. I will try this to my daughter she has thinker hair and curly. I will cancel my subscription for this range just because is not for my hair type. Other than that it’s great.
Stay with it! – After the first wash I felt like it didn’t make much of a difference, so a week later- the second time I left it on my hair for 5 mins, turned the temperature up on the shower so that the steam would tease my hair to curl better, it did!
My usual post wash, hair product regime: I came out the shower, applied Virgin Olive Oil to the ends and mid shaft of my hair (not the roots) and applied a hair tonic to my roots (Superdrug trichology) and as usual put a Microfibre hair turban on, until it drier.
I always use the above method and products but this time my hair curled much better!!!
I feel like this conditioner truly penetrates curly hair! I have used Sulfate free products before and know they are much better for curls but couldn’t get my fave since covid. So glad to find this one, works wonders!
I was avoiding using Cantu initially because I am sensitive the smell, it is inbetween Pineapple and Coconut and I am sensitive/mildly allergic to Coconut and Pineapple. Anyway, turns out it was ok in terms of skin contact, after washing it all off, my skin didn’t react. I did feel my nose and throat inflame temporarily (again due to my own sensitivity to whatever scent is used in this) but all fine the next day 🙂
I find it difficult to find hair products to suit mixed hair for my daughter but thought due to the quality reviews I should attempt to trial it. I applied and left to sit for 10-15 mins and rinsed with cool water. The second image shows after plaiting the morning after and taking it out. Combined with argon oil or on its own, it made the hair super soft and manageable. You can see the condition and quality even after 1 use!
I’m a big fan of products containing shea butter and if you are looking for a conditioner for dry or coarse hair then this is a product to buy!
Very happy with the result. Highly recommend – with the use of an oil after application (almond oil, jojoba oil, argan oil) to induce moisture and softness!
