The AGEK 4 Port USB car charger is mainly made of plastic but there is a ring of metal at the top of the body presumably to assist in dissipating the heat. The charger is a tight fit in the car cigarette lighter socket and it doesn’t protrude too much above that socket despite its size.

The charger has 4 USB ports, one of which is a 20W PD port, the other is an 18W QC3.0 port and the remaining two ports are 5V only and can provide up to 12W of power. There is no mention of what the total power capabilities of the latter 2 ports is. A standout feature of this charger is that it has an illuminated central car battery voltage display which is really useful for indicating the health of the car battery.

I did get some strange results from this car charger, for example I was able to draw 22W of power from the 18W QC3 port and at one point I was able to draw 30W of power from both of the fast charging ports, however around 23W was much more normal in that situation and that value didn’t change when I added the dashcam.

I do like the fact that the fast charge ports operate independently of each other and of the 5V ports, I also like the fact that I can use my dashcam and still have 3 useful charging ports left. I would like to see the maximum power output listed for various charging combinations though.

The car charger is priced very competitively for what you get but I have knocked 1 star off, simply because I have no reference to test the performance against.
