I bought the 12″ bike for my 4 (now 5)YO who is very tall for his age. – He’s the tallest by far of his fellow reception class-mates!
His feet barely touch the ground when standing still, on tip-toe. (He’s very long legged!!!!) – THE SEAT IS NOT HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE.
Plus side; my son absolutely ADORES this bike!
It took me and my (almost fossilised) dad over two hours to build. Probably half of that was me sighing with my head in my hand at his slowness at reading instructions and forgetting what he read..!
There isn’t any holes for the water bottle attachment and a few holes didn’t seem quite lined up. Or maybe that was my bleary eyes from yawning at my dad so much.
It’s not the highest quality materials but you get what you pay for!! Saying that it is very sturdy and doesn’t feel like it’s gonna buckle like a can of Lilt.. (yes, I tried it out! Duh..!)
I’d say it’s a good bike but the size 12″ is NOT for 4-8YO but 6-10!! My 9YO niece can ride it in comfort and still doesn’t have her feet flat on the ground. The bairn will grow into though so not a terrible buy!
