I got this controller to use with my PC, and it works just fine. It has a nice feel to it, there are extra buttons you can assign macros to and run turbo (I don’t), and I like the transparent casing.

As far as I can tell, the lighting changes colour at a steady rate, rather than responding to game conditions like health (I understand why it wouldn’t try to figure out a game’s state to determine its colour, though). You can press a button to freeze on a particular colour, but I don’t think you can explicitly set the colour other than freezing the cycle at the right moment.

The instruction leaflet could stand to be improved. It’s your typical translation of (probably) Chinese and is overly brief and vague in places.

I play with the controller plugged into my PC, so I can’t speak about how it handles wirelessly or the battery life. I’m not much of a gamer, so I can’t compare it to other modern controllers. This product has worked fine for me so far.

Have tested this both wired and wirelessly and it works flawlessly on both my PC and my PS4.
All buttons as well as the touchpad and directional sticks are all very responsive. So yes can personally confirm that it is fine whether you want to play PS4 games, PC games, or emulate on software such as Retroarch. Would imagine it will work perfectly fine with an Xbox too. Thankfully the cable is a USB C connector, which is basically expected from devices at this point in 2023. So that makes it easy to either charge or play with on your device wired, although the bluetooth also works perfect if you prefer to play without cables. With it being transparent it looks very cool and trendy especially with the LED lighting. The buttons and the general size and (light) weight of the controller all feel great when playing too so no issues on comfort. Vibrating motor works as expected for games that trigger it. There is an aux (3.5) jack on the bottom for putting audio devices in to, I tested that and it works as expected too. I am most impressed by the appearance of the joystick, naturally it’s great value anyway but it just looks so nice.

It’s well-made, and the transparent design and the lighting effect look nice. I got this for my 12-year-old, and he likes it. The buttons are responsive, too. However, the battery only lasts a short time compared to the original ones, so he keeps the cable connected to the console. However, for the price, it’s a suitable backup controller.

This controller seems like it takes inspiration from both the PlayStation and the Switch Pro controllers; you’ll have the button placement that you’d expect from a PS4 controller but it has the shape, shoulder button design and ergonomics of the Switch Pro. It’s going to be a little larger than a PS4 controller because of that, which might be a good or bad thing depending on your hand size.

I find that it’s really nice to hold in my hands and all of the buttons feel great with the exception of the shoulder buttons, which feel a little too loose for my tastes. The d-pad is not mushy yet not too clicky or stiff, it’s a great balance and it might be my favourite aspect of this controller.

It can light up in all sorts of ways which can be a little distracting if you play in the dark, but it does look great in pictures. I personally prefer to keep it off which is easy enough with the toggle buttons.

I was able to pair it to my PS4 without any trouble and was playing games in no time, but then I was even able to connect it via the USB C cable to my PC and use it as a wired controller for RetroArch and Steam. I’m really happy with this so far!

I ordered this from Vine for my partner, as his own controller was getting old and wasn’t working as well as it should. With his old one, when he was playing games, he would find that his characters would not stay still when he wanted them to – without pressing any buttons, he would find them travelling still. Since having this new one, he has been very happy. The pad is comfortable to use and he has said that it is very responsive. So far, he has had no problems with it.

This PS4 compatible controller is very nicely made, very sturdy and with a great quality feel to it. Although being a third party product it is so well made that if you didn’t know you would think it is a Sony original controller.

All the expected controls are replicated and function identically to those on an official controller, this includes the touch pad, joysticks, triggers, etc… It even has the same light on the front as the genuine items.

Where it does vary slightly is purely the cosmetics of the controller having a crystal clear casing and internal LED lights that ‘breathe’ (change colour) and which can be set to a particular set of colours if you so desire. In addition it also has a ‘turbo’ function to enable quick fire as well as a couple of programmable custom buttons on the underside. How useful or necessary these extra buttons are I’ll leave to your judgement. But I have to say the colour effects and clear casing do make a statement.

Setup is pretty much the same as with an official wireless controller, you simple connect it to your playstation using the supplied USB type lead and your PS4 will identify it and pair it automatically. Once that is done you can simply disconnect the lead and use the controller in wireless mode as you do with an official controller. Used either in wireless mode or with a USB cable the response of the controller is superb and indistinguishable from an official model. Charging is also the same as normal and is achieved using the supplied USB lead.

Overall this is a good alternative to a Sony official controller for any PS4 console if you fancy something different.

This controller looks really smart with the clear casing. The led lights give it a really modern look. It feels comfortable to hold and not heavy. Using it was easy and setting it up with our gaming console was straightforward. Works well and as it should.

I would like to start by mentioning that I am not a professional gamer or I don’t play that much probably three times a week on average six hours and particularly for me this controller it is just fine and I like the fact that the connectivity stable enough but one of the features that I found to beat the most interesting is the fact that it is transparent and it has LED light and especially while playing I feel that in terms of how it looks it is more appealing.

Related to the functionality, it is responsive enough all the buttons are easy to press and also comfortable to hold, and so far I didn’t experience any kind of issues in terms of this to this connect or to let me down what I play Something like when I press the button now to do the intended action so from my side everything is fine with it and I’m happy to use it but as I said I play only from time to time so I’m not sure how this will perform for intense gaming.

5.0 out of 5 stars It has a very interesting design and also it works as it should

This is a very cool looking replacement spare controller for the PS4 – I love that it’s see through and has the light up colour change options, it looks very cool when playing in the evening.

The classic triangle, square circle and X buttons are different on this controller as they obviously can’t copy the official controller, they’ve gone with 3D type shapes which are a little distracting but if you play a lot you won’t need to look where the buttons are anyway.

A comfortable to use controller that holds a good charge and looks great too, recommended

Comfortable to use and looks great. It’s very light and does feel less sturdy than an official one because of that. Not that I had any problems with it, I just wouldn’t recommend being rough with it. No slamming it down when you get your butt kicked!

All the buttons are fine and have a decent tactile feel to them. The analogue sticks are very smooth and the deadzone is practically the same as an official one. Vibration isn’t strong but I personally turn that off in most games anyway. The turbo features are great. All the RGB is cool but there’s times you will want to turn them off, which you can do easily with a dedicated button.

Overall, not as good as an official one but if you want something cheaper or a backup then it’s a solid option.

I think this is a good funky controller that easily connected to our ps4 once it was charged, I like the two tone lights and think this looks cool, the lights on the controller create a vibrant gaming ambience whilst using.

I have been using this for my PC, not PS4. It is immediately recognised as a game controller when using the USB cable, with 10 buttons. The buttons need mapping, but perhaps there is a controller mapping file that could be used–I didn’t manage to find an automatic one.

We got this for my Son’s PC, plugged it in and the PC recognised it as wireless controller.
All the buttons work as they should and it does infact light up.
The LB and RB are very quiet, no clicking sounds and very smooth.
I have not tried it on any PS consoles as we don’t own any, but all in all a great controller for your PC.

Light up controller for PS4 with hall triggers.

Comes well packaged with foam rings around the joysticks to prevent damage.

All buttons working and in the same place as the original controller.

You can turn the lights off if they distract you whilst playing.

    Headset worked with the controller.

Battery life looks good and barely changed from full after playing for 4 hours.

Some of the buttons are a different size so it felt different using them but will get used to it in time. I had a play about with the programmable buttons but ended up keeping things in the same place for now.

This is a good controller for its price range. And that’s the point to bear in mind. It’s not a 50 official controller, it’s a 28 controller so it wouldn’t be fair to compare the two

So about the controller itself. It has a good aesthetic and the transparent case is a very nice touch. An added turbo feature helps make this controller a little bit more than it would otherwise be. Construction wise it’s well built, but does have that sort of slightly light feel to it that makes it wise to treat the controller with a little more care than you might otherwise would

The buttons, triggers, and bumpers all work well and the analogue sticks work within a perfectly acceptable standard. The rumble motors aren’t the most powerful around, but do the job

If you’re looking for a spare or replacement PS4 controller and don’t fancy shelling out 50 then I’d say this was the purchase for you

    Good:

    – clear enclosure
    – additional buttons on the bottom
    – USB C not micro USB (b) for charging
    – good lightning effects
    – high build quality
    – triggers with Hall sensors
    – feels good in the hand

    Bad:

    – no license for PlayStation characteristic buttons
    – USB A to C, should be C to C for faster charging
