Everything is perfect for he quality of the video, but can somebody tell me how to make parking mode settings. I have hardwire kit I fit it but camera not go to standby mode like my last one (nextbase) ? Can you help me please?
Can’t fault it easy to install. I haven’t put the reversing camera in yet or wired that up. Part from that the picture quality is excellent and its worth every penny.
Great camera needed to feel safe when driving easy to install with lots of mimi tools in the kit including a blue lever to help tuck cables around the car edging. Once I successfully fitted the next part was doing what I wanted it too do took a while to workout but got there in the end Reading instructions is a good start easy after that comes with card reader cables, can even plug in camera into computer to get all info if you don’t want to take out card
The front facing camera is easy to set up and comes with a long power cable which means you can route it around the dashboard and front windscreen as a temporary measure
Instructions could be clearer, and 7 buttons to remember.
Could be better by having different colour buttons, and perhaps a faster/easier way to stop recording and instant play back, bearing in mind that if you have an accident you would be in a fluster anyway.
Also worth noting that the power lead that comes with it has a is a right angle plug for the camera, and when fitted fouls the joint of the holder.
A few fitting tips,
Get the hardwire kit with it. Most cars now have a socket for plug, but most are permanent supply, which means either you need to remember to connect and disconnect every time you drive, or you leave it on all the time, and flatten car battery.
Hardwire kit wires to ignition feed at fusebox, using very handy piggyback fuses, which makes it easier. also has straight connector plug, so fits into camera without fouling.
When trying to find an ignition feed at fusebox for hardwire kit, my mini has circuits that take 10 minutes or more to fully shut down.
I tucked wires into headlining, (mini 2018) and tied knots in cables to prevent them falling down.
All in all, a very good camera for the price, good clear image.
Also included are sd card, tool to prise trim and push wires behind trim, and USB adapter to slot sd card into, so makes it easy to plug into laptop and play back.
Rear camera fitted as well now, all working fine, very good clear image, although not sure of night time use. For the price, a fantastic opportunity to have a good quality dash cam.
Great little camera for the price dose everything that we need it to do. I have not had any issues and it was quick and easy to install, just bear in mind that you have to hide the cables.
Dash cams are getting smaller and more reliable. This model is a prime example of what you can cram into a smaller place. I like its small size. Once in place it takes up a lot less space on the windshield than some of the dash cams I’ve had in the past and it works a treat with the rear cam in place too. The wide screen gets more of the front view in and if you already have a reverse screen as part of your car’s electronics then there is no need to connect up the extra red wire on the rear camera. There’s a host of adjustments on this little baby so you can set up the system to your liking. We’ll worth the price paid.
Works straight out of the box. Front and rear camera easy to install with good instructions (and plenty of youtube videos out there to guide you in hiding the wires). I’m very happy with the camera, works great , no isues. Bought a second one for my sons car.
Some things to note are (1) the charge port is very close to the mount so it can be a bit tricky to position the camera depending on the angle of your windscreen (2) the rear camera mount plate needs to be screwed into something, either interior or exterior (not hard to do) (3) the rear camera is not 1080p like the front camera, its 720p. Still very sufficient for my needs. I’d recommend this product at the price I paid.
