The unit looks quite well made and is small, taking up very little space at the top middle of my windscreen.
The mounting kit is also good, and very compact. The power lead is quite long, allowing you all sorts of options to run the cable.
The downloadable app works fine, allowing you to view footage or download it by wifi on your phone, and also change settings, which is easier than using the buttons on the dashcam itself.
The 720p footage is good, and it also can record in 1080p as well. I have not used that, as it contains a watermark timestamp you can not turn off, (which is clearly mentioned in the product description) and I wanted to make videos of some footage. Example of 720p footage in the video.
A feature I really like is you can turn off the display on the cam itself, so it just goes black with time and date on it when recording, so much less distracting while driving.
I read a few reviews of daahcams before choosing this one. Most of the bad reviews were about the cameras not having good visibility at night due to headlights. This camera performs well, easy to setup and use once you familiarise yourself the the controls. The SD is a great bonus. The only negative is the casing feels very cheap but this is only an issue is you should drop it from a height. This shouldnt be a factor in your decision as it plays not part in the cameras performance
Good, easy to set up, good manual, intuitive menu, resolution could be better. You have to use the cigarette lighter option for power not the usb. Number plates can’t be read at a distance which is a shame but in the event of an accident it should provide the information required.
Just easy to use. Hardest bit is routing the power cable! You only need set the local time, otherwise plug n play. Lots of options, but follow the directions carefully. Comes with data cables and a “pusher” to help press the power cable into the windscreen surround and dash slots so it can be hidden. Then there’s the bonus 128 GB SD card and reader. The card is easily removed for a PC. Or you can set up the wireless connection to link to the phone app.
Installed this dashcam this morn and just tried it. Initial impression is this is a very good dashcam for the price point.
What makes me rate this above the rest – it comes with a 128Gb memory card already installed, it also has built in Wi-Fi which allows you to download videos as required to your smartphone via their app. Just tried downloading a video and it worked very well (their app also does not track personal data which is good). Quality of video is good – I can read license plates of cars which are close to my car.
Also got a helpful email from the company with some tips of what settings to use to get the best out of it, which also helped with setting it up.
I’m running it via the supplied cable to a 12v cigarette lighter slot.
Can’t fault it at all so far. Bracket mounting to windscreen also seems quite sturdy

For 35 it’s brilliant. The app is way better than the nextbase app! Only negative is the colours are a bit weird and it’s a touch too wide for me mebut hey35!
The IPS screen is bright and crisp with vibrant colours. and unlike my previuos dashcam, the lense captures the full width of my windscreen.
All the functions are easy to figure out and use without the hassle of reading the manual.
The WiFi is easy to set up and the phone app works as it should.
Everything you need to install is included with two mounting options. I used the sticky pad mount as I couldn’t get the suction mount to stick for more than half an hour…..my only niggle with this dashcam. Power cable is long enough to hide all the way around your dash.
A bargain dash cam and the included 128Gb SD card and reader are welcome additions.
In my case the device would only record 24 hours of ‘movement detected’ clips before overwriting the files. It was using less that 20GB of the 128GB SD card. I suspect the quality of the supplied SD cards. Customer service were excellent and gave me a refund. Thanks to Ying who really did their best to help
