This is my 3rd robot and it is by far the best of them. 1st lacked any mapping so randomly bounced around, 2nd LeBot was ok but eventually brush system wore out and stopped working. This one so far is impressive reliable making its way around full floor with little intervention and needs minimum maintenance (empty, cleaning etc). The components seem to be of higher quality and design thought.
It is really 5* product today but I’m reserving judgement until long term quality can be accessed
Was bought to try the market, and have been very impressed.
The 3d mapping is very good and it has been able to navigate my mutlipfloors a d handle a mix of hard floor with a rug and carpets.it navigates multiple rooms plus a downstairs toilet and utility room.
It generally works well around chair legs but it can’t work miracles.
It is only being used to mop a couple of times but it is now set to do a full floor vaccuum everyday.
With having a cat he was a constant battle to keep the floors clean and tidy. And now I come home every day and they’re clean.
The only issue and it’s not a fault of this particular model is that you must have the floor as clear as possible otherwise it will suck up anything that gets in its way.
Anyway, got it, it came and I weren’t impressed really
Until I put it on. Bro OMDS.
I will NEVER clean again this hoover is amazing.
Cleaned the entire house and even went into the little corners that I skip because I cba.
I highly recommend it, I’m gonna get one for Mum for Xmas she’s getting older and I know she’ll love this!!
Only had it for just over a week, but so far it’s been amazing. We had previously borrowed a fairly “dumb” robot vacuum cleaner, but this is in a different class. The scanning is great, we’ve got maps for both floors of the house stored and move it between the two. The app is easy to use. The mopping is a bit so so, it can’t really get anything stuck on off, but it’s good for a wipe round. Would definitely recommend it.
However the app is useless and no matter what I try I haven’t been able to pair the app to the device – followed all the trouble shooting advice. So still not been able to set off limit areas so I have to ensure there are physical barriers in place.
Overall happy, but cost high when not able to use all it’s advertised features.
On carpets it doesn’t really collect the little bits of floss or a piece of string a lot of the hair I think it just sucks up the dust and that’s that, it doesn’t do a good job with corners though so you’ll have to go over them with your regular hoover every now and then.
It has good mapping and navigation just make sure to cover mirrors or glass doors if it’s dark outside because it gets confused and double maps and will end up going around in circles.
I am satisfied with it just wish it had longer side brushes for the edges and that it would have enough suction power to pick up the string or small fluff like debris.
I am yet to try the mopping feature but I am sure it will be impressive.
This is my second Deebot robot cleaner, the previous one, bought a few years ago, is now unable to charge for whatever reason I don’t know, and I cannot get it fixed. So I bought this upgraded one, seems it’s the right choice.
I will admit that the initial maps are a bit tricky to set up. You have to make sure the robot is unobstructed and all doors are open for the initial mapping bit. However, once that is done you can label the rooms and reorder the cleaning sequence and preferences etc. Then let the robot just do its thing. As long as you clean up any stray cables or other similar objects then you’ll be fine. It seems to navigate around all our furniture and kids toys perfectly. It even gets to places we usually miss with the upright hoover. I can’t comment on the mopping function yet because we haven’t tried it but I didn’t really purchase it for that purpose as we don’t very often need to do a mop anyway.
As I said, at first I was sceptical but now couldn’t be without it and the carpets looks just as good if not better than when vacumed with the upright.
If your scenario is similar to ours and you have such little free time then I can definitely recommend!
We have a dog who leaves hair everywhere, which meant we had to vacuum at least once a day. It was becoming a pain so we decided to invest in some help. So far it is doing a really good job of completely cleaning the floors each day, it gets under furniture that we didn’t think it could and completes an entire clean in about 40 minutes. Obviously it’s still a new product so time will tell if there are any major issues with the product but at the moment we couldn’t be happier.
Pros:
– Pretty quiet during cleaning.
– Does a great job on hard floors (we don’t have carpet so can’t speak for its ability there).
– Gets under furniture I didn’t think it could, so we get a much ‘deeper’ clean than we would with our stick vacuum.
– It’s battery is a good size. It can clean the apartment twice and still be above 70%.
– The app has lots of nice features, from placing no-go lines, choosing specific areas to clean, scheduling a daily clean, etc.
Cons:
– Obstacle avoidance isn’t perfect, it can’t see ‘thin’ objects like charging cables or thin coffee table legs. This can be fixed by using no-go zones though.
– The emptying process can be very loud so you wouldn’t want to schedule a clean in the middle of the night and have the vacuum automatically empty at the end. It will definitely wake you up.
– We didn’t buy this vacuum for the mop, as lots of reviews across all robot vacuum brands have said they’re pretty unreliable, and we can confirm this mop doesn’t seem to be great. We have to get our steam mop out for the harder stains/marks on the floors.
– It needs quite a big area for the base station, something we didn’t even think about when purchasing it. Luckily it didn’t turn out to be an issue but it could be for people with limited space.
