This baby and toddler musical learning toy may seem a little on the expensive side, but there’s no denying the overall quality, which, for generations, countless parents have relied on from Fisher-Price. This pull along xylophone toy is worthy of the brand’s reputation, not just for the quality, but also for the educational value, and the development of younger children. The toy requires batteries for the interactive features, and once again, Fisher-Price are on top of their game here, providing the 3 AA batteries within the presentation box, so you are good to go as soon as your product arrives.
Big Xylophone by Fisherpice, this is a classic toy. Big buttons to push with lights and melodies. It has a handle to steer, helps to aid mobility with toddlers taking steps. It helps with number recognition and also the alphabet. This toy provides hours of stimulating fun, my niece thoroughly enjoys playing as well as learning.
Yet another brilliant toy come teaching aid from Fisher-Price, it’s got everything that you need to engage very young and developing senses – vibrant colours, bright lights, music and a friendly voice. The keys on the xylophone are nice and big which are just right for little hands and fingers. This is aimed at the 9 to 36 months age range which is about right, babies that can push themselves up or sit can bang away at the keys and toddlers can march about and pull it along with them. Highly recommended.
This is a lot bigger than I expected, I get why they called it giant, so if you have toy storage issues, I would reconsider this. Both my toddler and baby love it, as it can be engaged with differently depending on the age. It can be great sensory toy as it makes some lovely sounds, or it can be used as a tool for teaching then alphabet, the numbers shapes or colours. Quality is great, as you expect from this brand, but price is a bit high
This xylophone is bigger than I expected, it came very well packaged like every product I have received from Fisher Price. The xylophone has 8 big buttons which are very easy for small children to press. The buttons have different colors, they have numbers, letters and shapes that help children to develop their knowledge. There are 3 stages that include songs, numbers, the alphabet, colors and many others, they are even in Spanish, which I don’t know the reason for why exactly spanish and not any other language The xylophone also has a handle with which children can have fun pushing or pulling it, my boy loves to pull it around the house besides making music with it. I think it’s a nice toy and the price is reasonable.
I often find that revisiting classics, albeit with a modern twist, has its own magic. It was with such sentiment that I tried this musical learning toy. At first glance, its generous size caught my eye. But it’s more than just a xylophone. Those light-up buttons, colourful and inviting, offer a tapestry of sounds and lessons. From melodies that had my feet tapping to educational songs that subtly teach, there’s a depth here. I was taken by the three learning stages — an intuitive progression from simple recognition for the youngest users to more complex understanding for the toddlers. And, not to forget, the sprinkle of Spanish words was a refreshing touch. While it sits beautifully in a playroom, the pull feature makes it mobile, expanding the scope of play. Folding the handle under, and it’s all set to be stowed away until its next delightful serenade.
What a delightful way to engage young minds! The lights and music kept my little one entertained, while the educational tunes subtly introduced learning concepts. As they grew, pulling it along became their favourite activity. Being bilingual was a bonus. Its durability was tested time and again, surviving the rough handling of enthusiastic toddlers.
This xylophone is for our grandson, who loves anything bright and noisy and it’s a grandparents right to get them a toy that does just that.
He absolutely loves the large buttons that play music, speak and light up, with there being 2 more options to advance as he does, with it even saying the words in Spanish as he gets older.
This is a great toy that has totally progressed from the old metal xylophones we grew up with, and I think it is a great educational toy for his advancement in saying colours, numbers, letters and shapes.
The pull along handle is folded underneath meaning it can be used as just a sit at toy, but will aid his walking as he grows meaning the toy will (fingers crossed ) last a good few years.
At 37.99 at the time of writing this review, this toy has gone down a treat for my grandson, maybe not our daughter though, and although expensive I think it is worth splashing out occasionally, and this is one toy I would recommend for babies/toddlers.
My nephew is going to love this. A light up xylophone that plays musical notes and over 60 sounds or phrases. There are 3 different settings for activities. Teaches colours and numbers even French words. Such a lovely toy. It can be sat with to be played or pulled along the floor with the king handle. A lot of fu
This has so many different fuctions that go up in stages to grow with your child. It plays music, teaches numbers, shapes, etc, even in spanish! It is good quality, strong to withhold the rigours of children and can be used on a table top/floor then progresses into a push/pull along toy as they start toddling. It is at the upper end of what I would feel comfortable spending however you get all of the reassurance of the Fisher Price name and for a special birthday or christmas for example, I think it’s worth paying.
A perfect xylophone toy from Fisher Price. It is much larger that expected and can be pushed or pulled along. The keyboard is bright and colourful and the toy does so many things. It says words, shapes and numbers and even says them in Spanish which is a novel way of teaching all children a few words in a new language. Not sure why Spanish though!! A good value product which any child would enjoy playing with
Excellent toy which my 9 month old is very interested in. Really helping him with his crawling as he has to lunge forward and keep his balance to use this. He loves the bright colours and lights, working through the modes to learn about colours, shapes, numbers and music. Love that its a toy he can use long term, with the pull handle as he moves onto walking. For now he enjoys pushing it along on the floor, working on his coordination spinning the wheels. So much more to this toy than meets the eye, I would recommend.
Lovely toddler musical learning toy
I got it for my daughter; the toy can be used in 2 ways, while sitting and walking, Using the pulling arm
this a perfect educational toy that provides 3 learning levels that teach numbers, alphabet, shapes, and colours.
the toy supports a variety of songs and 8 colourful lights.
Overall, this toy is an ideal educational gift!
I had high hopes that the Giant Light-Up Xylophone Pull Toy was going to be a good toy but the xylophone exceeded my expectations. What an amazing toy it is for babies and toddlers!
From the moment the parcel arrived in the post I knew it would be good as the xylophone sang to me in the packaging as I brought it in the house. I wonder if the postman also appreciated the music in his van too!
The xylophone is a nice size that is big for baby but not too big that it’s hard to store. It is made of plastic and has lights which flash and dance along with the music as well as a handle for toddlers to pull along behind them. As to be expected with Fisher-Price the toy is a fantastic quality and will last a long time.
The music and sounds the piano make are a nice level of noise that isn’t too loud or too quiet but it is not adjustable which is a shame. It does not have an on/off button either hence the music playing through the box on its journey through the post. Though this would have been nice to have fortunately this isn’t one of those toys that suddenly starts playing by itself after baby has ended playing with it.
There are three modes on the xylophone which are designed to be beneficial to different ages and stages of baby. They are:
Level 1:
Within level 1 baby can learn English numbers from 1 to 8 and shapes. I think this is a great way to start baby learning numbers and shapes. By pressing once you’ll hear a number and by pressing again just after the shape will be named.
My one disappointment with the toy as a whole and this mode is the lack of the rectangle shape. This is the third baby toy I’ve seen this week that has a circle, triangle and square but no rectangle. I have found that the difference between a rectangle and a square is one of the hardest things for young children to grasp so I don’t understand why baby toys are lacking this crucial shape whilst putting lesser used shapes on toys instead.
Level 2:
This was the level the xylophone was on when I received it and I was so excited to discover the toy telling me the numbers in Spanish as I wasn’t expecting it at all. I think this is a really nice way to introduce children to another language and it gives a unique aspect to the toy. As for the shapes in this section it describes each of them e.g. a square has four sides, a triangle has three corners etc. I love that this helps children learn a bit more about the shapes but I wish it had just stuck with commenting on the amount of sides as it would be more beneficial in my opinion than ‘the circle is round’ or ‘a diamond looks like a kite’. But then I’d also have had a rectangle instead of a heart!
Level 3:
This level is the xylophone level and each button plays a note and lights up. This is fun for baby and like all of the levels is a great way to help baby with fine and gross motor skills and learning colours.
All of the levels come with a couple of songs including numbers and the alphabet song with the lights lighting up next to the corresponding number/letter as the song plays. This is brilliant as not only is it captivating for baby to enjoy the song and light show but it’s also helping them to learn numbers and letters as they grow.
Overall I think this is an incredible toy and so well thought out to maximise the learning benefits for both babies and toddlers as they grow. I will give it five stars as for what it is it’s so much fun and brilliant quality but I was really considering giving it four stars because of the missing rectangle!
Great toy for little ones. My daughter is 3 years old and still plays with it. The keys light up and you have both numbers and letters. It has 3 modes with signing, counting and even spanish. Good for developing their gross motor skills as well because they can push it around. 5 stars
This is good value for money, also good if you want to buy a gift that’s not overly expensive but looks a lot. Great for a first birthday or Christmas gift.
I love the fact that the xylophone has big buttons to press and also the lights and sounds. But the sound should be adjustable and louder. Overall a good product though.
This light up xylophone is the best!!! My nephew absolutely loves it. It’s so loud and colourful, just what any toddler would want. The quality is good, just what you’d expect from such a reputable brand. It has so many different tunes and sounds, more than enough to keep him occupied and not get bored of it too quickly. A tad expensive but I’d recommend this product 🙂
As expected from Fisher Price this is a well made & very sturdy toy. Nice and bright with chunky buttons, ideal for a baby/small toddlers hands.
It’s great for little ones just starting to walk with the pull along handle.
My only gripe – I couldn’t find the off button to turn it off completely and so it randomly went off during the day and night!
What a great musical toy this is, it’s an excellent made Xylophone that plays music, counts & lights up, it tells the colours & shapes too.
It has vibrant colours to catch a tots attention, it comes ready to use with batteries included.
Your baby/toddler will get hours of pleasure pushing & pulling this around.
Great value for money & a high end product from Fisher-Price.
Highly recommended.
This came half open and half boxed. Immediately it started making noise and my little girl came running!
It has 3 stages, first stage is numbers and shapes, second stage is numbers in Spanish and the third stage is a keyboard with sounds!
It’s perfect as your little one grows, he/she can grow with it.
Absolutely worth the money, amazing quality and fischer price products – you can never go wrong with!
This is a tardy little cart, it pulls well and the wheels roll smoothly.
It is ideal for toddlers to pull along, being sturdy but still quite light.
The xylitol is fun, easy to “hit” and rewards every touch with a sound, light as well as a bit of educational stuff like numbers, letters and shapes.
I think at under twenty five quid at the time of writing its very reasonably priced for the build quality, technology and fun.
