It is an ok table top double cooker, but I have only given it 4stars because the enamel and chrome metals are discolouring early on in their life, unlike a large oven cooker, the enamel is poor.
It heats up controls the temperature fine it is ok as a table/worktop double hot plate and does the job cheaply with no electronic gizmos to fail in the future, which happened when I used to have an induction hob.

Bought this whilst renovating the kitchen. Works exactly as an electrical hob with timing to cook almost the same. Make sure you have the right sized pot and pans to fit on the rings if they are too big it doesn’t work as well but if slightly too small works fine. Very powerful I was pleasantly surprised.

It lasted all of four months then broke. You can’t boil anything on there without adding boiled water first. Ok for frying but it doesn’t have continal heat. They should lower the price. It’s tat.

Bought this as a gift for someone as no cooking facilities for 3 months until new kitchen fitted, they say it great! But advise using it first time with window open, pan of water to burn off the hot plates, but brilliant otherwise

I wanted something to cook curries on using authentic herbs and spices as used in curry houses. My was against making our house smell like a curry house. So on nice days l run an extension from garage and curries sl fresco. Perfect for the job. The only slight downside is it arrived with a pushed in side panel. This did not affect its ability to cook even though it made it wobbly and uneven on flat surfaces. Thought about sending it back but l was desperate for an authentic home made curry. Used often and does what it says on the tin.

In a kitchen refurb, my other half chose a very fancy hob which seems to me very complicated to use and time-consuming to keep clean. I don’t like using it but, at the same time, I like to help out occasionally with meal preparation. I chose this hotplate because it is very easy to prepare things like bacon sandwiches, burgers, cheese toasties without making any sort of mess. Also, I have wired it up in the garage so it doesn’t take up kitchen space.
