I’d previously tried a 20 component to hdmi converter for my Wii and it was garbage, so I didn’t hold out much hope for this 5 unit that plugs direction into the Wii, but it worked fine. Very happy. Just been playing Ghost squad on an 85″ telly 🙂
Just what I was looking for. My son has a Wii as a basic console which he loves to use. The old output cables give a very blurry washed out look on the screen and I was looking for a simple way of upgrading to HD. This product does the job brilliantly and I was genuinely surprised at the difference 480p makes to the clarity and colours on the screen. You can adjust the screen output settings in the menu and when plugged in, the Wii detects 480p output. It’s been great playing Mario Kart in HD and also seeing games like Zelda: Twilight Princess dazzle with a new gloss of paint! You can pick up a Wii for next to nothing these days and I have really enjoyed some retro gaming with my son. In short, if you’re looking for an easy fix to playing a Wii on a modern TV with no faff, look no further. It’s 10 well spent in my opinion.
With buying a 50″ 4k smart tv I was sceptical about the wii being able to link and…. it couldn’t yet the second this little device is all set up (plug and play) also sound without using the aux port made me even happier thanks again guys family game night continues.
Hadn’t used my wii in ages, had my niece stay for a sleepover and she wanted to try it. But I didn’t realise it couldn’t connect to my smart TV, so we had to use an older telly and set that up in the living room. Which as you can imagine wasn’t ideal.
Ordered this connector that Sunday and had it Wednesday so fast delivery. It works perfectly sound and all. No issues at all with it and it’s just plug and off you go. Thanks.
Recently changed to a smart TV, which has hdmi connection, no longer the red,yellow, white connectors. You then have to go into the Wii settings and change to 480p (HDTV) otherwise picture looks blurred.
Works well for those who still wants to use their Wii console.
Just remember to go in to the wii settings to tell it your using digital and the picture quality sharpens up

It cleans up and “crisps” the previously fuzzy graphics so well, I’ve decided against buying the Switch. I prefer the playability of the Wii games. I found Mario Kart on the Switch of course better quality graphics but not as responsive to control and I didn’t enjoy the smaller controllers and tiny steering wheels. I realise this is because of its dual function as a handheld and a TV console, but I’m not that fussed about the former. Wii games far more fun, better to control, and now graphics cleaned up nicely for play on an LED TV. Saved me 300 until perhaps a 4k TV focussed console comes out in 2023 with bigger/better controllers. Really, pleasantly surprised at the results from this little investment and this version saved me buying a separate HDMI cable. Brilliant.
Setup is very intuitive and is just a matter of plugging the adapter to the back. Takes up little space (apart from the adapter poking out behind). Picture quality isn’t great, but as good as it’s going to get.
This product is amazing for the price. It makes the line and colour a little sharper not massively but defo worth the price.
Top tip.!!! I see a lot of reviews saying it dosent so much don’t forget to change the settings on you’re wii to hdmi it will help a lot.
I have a 55inch LG smart 4K tv and this works wonders with it
It’s plastic and feels it for the price it’s what I expected.
Feels like you couldn’t be heavy-handed with it just be carful would give it 9/10 would be 10/10 if was little more sturdy
Our Wii Console was stuck in the cupboard for over 6 years gathering dust, buying the Wii to HDMI covertor has been a good purchase. The sound and picture quality is good on our smart TV. The convertor was delivered within a few days of purchasing from Amazon and has provided hours of fun for the family. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
