Great, great, and so handy if you’re using a laptop at home. Space saver for sure. This is great for students and people who deal with a lot of paperwork. I love this, but I’ve only used this to scan documents.

Insert page, hit the button, 10 seconds later the software pops up and it scans, then hit stop and rename and your done. I love it.
Only good for up to 8 inch wide single sheets. (Standard paper size)

I purchased this to supplement my main HP LaserJet printer/scanner. The LaserJet scanner is fine when scanning multiple pages that can sit in the document feeder.
But, sometimes I have smaller, mismatched sizes of documents that will end up causing a paper jam if I try to automatically feed them in the LaserJet.

This is where the HP PS100 Portable scanner comes in. It sits on my desk without taking up much space at all. And it’s at the ready whenever I want to quickly scan something to be saved as a PDF. It has an “autofeed” feature so that you can scan as many pages as you like by feeding them one after the other.

It’s not the fastest scanner around, but the resolution quality is fine for my needs and setup could not have been easier.
It’s a a little annoying that it is not a “plug & play” as you will need to download HP’s software in order to use the scanner, but that’s a minor complaint. I didn’t have any problems with the install and everything seems to work just fine.

Saved so much time being able to scan in bills and other docs right away, saving to digital, connecting to paid payments, and doing away with the additional paper trail. I live in a rather urban area, but we don’t have regulation on a lot of utility providers, thus I still get some paper bills. This has made my life easier.

This scanner is a little to bulky to be considered “portable”, and there’s no user’s manual to explain how to use it. I think I’m using it right, but there are questions that I can’t find answers to. One way I’ve used it is to set it next to my laptop and scan a box of photos. The results are pretty good, and it’s nice to not have to sit near my printer to use the scanner on that. Also, I prefer the roller feed on this scanner to the sheet feeder or even the flatbed on my printer.

The set-up was pretty quick. Had to include a ‘s’ (plural) on the software app download site ‘hpworksolution[s].com. Once the driver is downloaded, synching with computer (mine is Windows) was fast. With the app and using USB connection, I immediately did several test scans and it worked perfectly with great clarity in the scan. And scanner is very lightweight. I purchased for travel/wfh purposes.

This is an awesome tool for saving family pictures to your laptop computer. Just be careful how you save and check settings. Get the actual HP Scan software that is listed in tiny print in the manual. No need to purchase Cloud storage which is what they push.
