This neat little device adds bluetooth wireless transmission to any device that contains an old 3.5mm Aux input (not output sadly). I got this to add to an older DAB radio that my parents own, so that they can stream music and audiobooks from their mobile phones turning the DAB into a wireless speaker, and it works perfectly. Sound quality is excellent and it has a claimed 15M range which I didn’t test but certainly it streamed across a room without a problem.
It would work for a car stereo with an Aux input as well.
I hoped it could broadcast to wireless headphones as well but sadly this is not the case.
It is rechargeable via a USB C soket, and allows for 6 hours of use on a 2 hour charge.
All our cars have Bluetooth built in but as I drive multiple vehicles and often hire them it’s a pain to add my phone to different head units. Where they have a headphone socket this solves that by allowing me to quickly plug this is and I can immediately start using my phone for music, audible or web based radio.
Works very well in this scenario for me and if you only have a headphone socket it will work well in you car.
Small , easy to use and works well.
I’m using it it with a galaxy A34 but don’t see why any BT enabled phone would not work well.
I charged up the adapter for an hour at first before I used it. Then I used the adapter to hear my phone radio through my stereo system indoors. It worked a treat and the sound was very clear. 5 stars.
This is a good solution for older cars where you have an auxiliary input but don’t have proper USB connectivity to connect your phone. the unit itself has excellent audio quality for playing back music but I was equally surprised at the quality of the microphone as I am now able to make and receive calls in my car without needing to install any microphones as it has one built-in and all the people I’ve spoken with have said it is pretty good quality. the unit itself is rechargeable via USB and I just have a little 12 V adapter to charge it occasionally however the battery does seem to last for a decent amount of time as when you walk away from the car and the Bluetooth disconnect it Powers itself down.
Used on my digital piano to make it a Bluetooth speaker. Works well. A longer battery life than 6 hours would be good but I have it connected always so it doesn’t matter to me
I have to say, I wasn’t expecting much from an item worth 15, but this blew my expectations.
Let’s be realistic, the drawback of anything this cheap will be the sound quality. The bass is terrible, and so is the treble when it gets into the high ranges. If you listen to dubstep, rock or anything of that sort, this is definitely a miss. Acoustic listener or more into soft music? This is the device for you.
On to connectivity. It literally took two seconds to connect and get working via bluetooth. It is faster to connect to than almost any car bluetooth system I have had the misfortune of using, so if you don’t want to faff about and want something that works, this device is again for you. The range is also great, stepping outside of your car will not cause any issues – until you start walking a few metres away.
Overall, you get what you pay for, but the value for money is commendable. As a side note, I’ve used this both in my car, and a general speaker, and the sound quality was roughly the same for both.
This is a great quality add on to my slightly dated Audi. The set up is very easy to follow and once set up, it connects to the aux within seconds and has been very reliable.
It’s rechargeable but I leave it permanently plugged in as you can see in the picture, as my aux is located right near my 12V. I can’t comment on the hands free function as I don’t use it but in terms of sound quality it’s just as good as plugging into your phone direct, no distortion at high volume. The build quality is certainly good for the price range and I expect it to last a long time. Definitely a recommended upgrade for a car!
This was far better than I thought it would be. It’s a little 6.5cm bluetooth adapter that slots into the AUX port in my car. It easily turns my speakers into bluetooth capable, and the sound quality is very good, I was very impressed! It has an auto off feature if unused for 10 mins. Definitely recommend.
Quick and easy method to add Bluetooth capability to an older device or car that is lucky enough to have a AUX port for use. Well built construction with main body being made of metal / aluminium and the connector end a hard plastic. Easy to pair right out of the box and holds connection with phone very well, no drop outs just high quality music output. USB-C charging is a plus and battery life is better than expected, with 5-6 hours of use before needing a recharge.
Not had much use for the one button control as most is done direct from my phone, same with the built-in mic. Small tests using them had no complaints from the end user I was speaking with.
Works brilliantly with my DAB radio for streaming music from my phone.
Got this to enable Bluetooth audio functionality in our Vauxhall Zafira. It simply plugs into the ‘Aux’ in socket in the centre console.
Pairing with the unit is a breeze – switch it on and pair to phone when it appears on the list of devices. There’s no built-in security which although it makes it easy to pair could run the risk of anybody nearby connecting. But that’s fairly low risk to be honest.
Sound quality is excellent and I suppose only as good as the source audio and car system, however it sounds every bit as good as a wired connection to me.
The unit feels fairly robust with just a single button and charging port. The only downside is that it requires to be charged (and remembering to do that), or alternatively just connect it to a charging port in the car.
For the price it’s a good, simple way to introduce Bluetooth into a vehicle that doesn’t have it built in.
I got this device to replace the cables and converters I used to connect my phone to my car allowing me to play audio as well as hear the sat-nav directions through the car speakers. As a plus, I discovered that it will work alongside my car’s hands-free phone feature as long as my phone connects to the car first.
The device is compact and feels well made with high-quality sound. Far better than Bluetooth radio transmitters that you connect to via your car’s radio. The battery life is also pretty good, probably due to the device switching itself off after 10 minutes of inactivity. I have not needed to recharge mine in a week and I use it 3-4 times a day.
I recently purchased the HVMLAK Car Bluetooth 5.3 Adapter, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my car. Its discreet design doesn’t clutter the interior, and the Bluetooth connection is effortless. It’s a true plug-and-play device, making it incredibly user-friendly. Despite its budget-friendly price, it performs well, delivering core Bluetooth functionality. I highly recommend it for a hassle-free and affordable way to upgrade your car’s audio system.
The bluetooth adapter comes in a simple packaging with a user-manual that contains
customer support information and a USB-A to USB-C charging cable.
It seems very huge with it’s 6,5cm but gives a solid impression.
I attached those to my DOCKIN D FINE speaker AUX IN to have a direct comparison between
both bluetooth devices.
The first thing I noticed is that you hear absolutely nothing when the adapter is plugged in – no noise at all,
which is very good. I assume this is due to the gold-plated jack and/or some noise reduction from the speaker.
I could immediately connect to the device using my Google Pixel 6 pro. You also can see charging levels in the bluetooth settings.
The sound quality is absolutely stunning, it just felt like the original bluetooth sound – I could not hear
a difference at all.
The product is exactly as described. I can give a 100% recommendation.
Easy to pair. Audio quality is good. Not used it long enough to get an idea of battery length, but it’s at least 4 to 5 hours plugged into my Makita site radio…
I’ve down graded my car recently and found my pre installed Parrot didn’t support music streaming from my phone to the car stereo. This easy to use plug in aux Bluetooth music streaming device has solved all my issues. It’s a great little product that connects easy and supports my Tidal music app from my phone. I’d be lost without this device.
This is a very small bluetooth receiver that I bought primarily to use in my caravan’s stereo system to play the sounds from the Amazon Fire TV we have in there (the TV speakers aren’t the best).
Opened the box, had it switched on using common sense (hold the only button you can see until it flashes red and blue so you know it’s pairing just like most bluetooth devices), it even had some charge on it which was a bonus however I then plugged the USB-A to USB-C cable supplied into the stereo as well and bingo it was charging the device.
All set up and working within 2 minutes without looking at the instructions.
Literally my favourite thing about it is that it uses USB-C for charging, where a lot of manufacturers are still using Micro USB which is a faff – so top marks for including USB-C too!
Great little device, battery lasts ages (at least 10 hours so far streaming music from an iPhone). Bargain price.
Would work perfectly in a car such as BMW, where they often have the 3.5mm Aux socket next to a USB socket, as a permanent solution – I wish I had something so compact in 2014 when I last needed this solution for a car.
I got this for my daughter who has just passed her driving test, she wanted to connect her phone via Bluetooth so she could play her music. The device works really well, USB C port easily connects to her phone via Bluetooth. She is very happy with it. Sounds really clear.
This Bluetooth 5.3 Adapter from brand HVMLAK is extremely clever. Just plug it into your car’s aux and find the new item on your phone or I-Pod’s Bluetooth. Connect and listen to your favourite music, it’s that simple. Sound quality is excellent but of course this will vary depending on your phone and car speakers.
One button control turns the adaptor on and off again. You can answer a call and refuse a call, with the built in microphone, and also play and pause music. The USB C charging port is on the bottom of the adaptor, it comes with a USB lead. The manufacturer says the adaptor is compatible with all smart phones. It comes in a small branded cardboard box, so it would make a nice gift. It is well packed. Weighing just 15g it is very lightweight and easy to carry around. An easy recommendation, great price too.
Love that this little device is so simple to use. Simply plugs in to my auxiliary output, connects to Bluetooth on my phone and now enables me to listen to my playlists, in my car, wire free!
Comes with usb charging cable.
Highly recommend!
Small compact Bluetooth AUX adapter. It plugs into the 3.5 jack inside my Smart cars glove compartment. Bluetooth binding was very simple, like most Bluetooth gadgets. The signal was good and steady, with no interruptions. The music playback was decent and sounded very nice from my standard car audio set up. Vocals sounded upfront and clear. Mids maybe a tad over done, but ones graphic equaliser can help to change things. Overall, I’d say it was decent and acceptable, even with my fussy music ears.
For calls, its perfect and sounds good and natural.
The only thing I don’t like is when I turn the engine off, and when I get back and turn it on, I have to go to the glove compartment to press the adapter power button. Some car AUX port is on the headunit, and easier to deal with.
The little adapter feels solidly made and feel robust. I gave it 4 stars and think it’s pretty good for what it is.
Good value for money.
