This dash cam is App operated. Camera access by mobile phone is a very nice feature. Good quality front and rear dash cam. Night vision is impressive . Easy to install and use. I like it.
Installed it, hard wired it, installed the rear camera, ran all the cables in the headlining, so all you see is the units themselves.
The camera quality is as good as it gets for the price, the rear camera is the same common camera as you’d get with most of the chinese ones.
The hard wire kit is fairly straight forward, if you swap the two wires the dashcam won’t drain your battery while it’s parking (also it won’t turn on)
Customer services (Miya) was both prompt to respond, identify and rectify the problem which was of my own mistake. A great sign of product support!
Make sure you buy the correct hardwire kit (I incorrectly bought the wrong one from them which didn’t have an ACC cable which you need if you want parking mode to work when engine is off. I think they have since made it clearer on which cable is for which camera.
The camera is sleek looking, unobtrusive and I like the led display. It’s stopped arguments from my back seat driver saying you are driving too fast or slow when the speed is right infront of them to see. You can turn this off or have screen saver mode so not sure why another review raised this as a dislike. The app is a little basic/generic looking but functionality wise it is still excellent and multiple settings to adjust if you want. I have found with cameras, especially if you mount on rear window/near ariel the radio tuner will suffer. Worth trying additional wire interference clips if this is a concern. Overall I’d recommend this camera, it’s the second I’ve had from this brand and for the price point is excellent.
So far so good the camera front and rear seems to be working okay. Removed the memory card and downloaded all video with no errors or missed events. I was worried about the effect on the camera when left in sunshine all day nuts seems okay so far. Phone app is simple and functional no messy gimmicks on it. Only minor annoying thing is apparently the camera wifi can either work in 2.4 or 5g. I have yet to work this out because the instructions are not clear. Oh downloaded video can be a bit dark, but with pc or phone software soon resolved.
I really like this dashcam because it:

The camera is great. Picture quality is good but can you actually hard wire it. So far been unavailable since purchased and other hardwire kits do not work for parking modes.
Overall, it is a good and solid build dashcam. It performs well in the daytime and adequately in low-light conditions. The quality is superb considering its price tag. I recommend it if you are looking for a simple function dashcam.
Easy to access the clips through wifi. But cannot download them to phone. For that need to take the SD card out and as most modern phone coming without SD slot in phone you may need to use a PC for clips.
It’s a good camera overall but as stated above the bitrate is to low to give 4k details when zooming in, the video is better than my old 1080 HD dashcam when not zoomed in.
Would I get this dashcam?
The short answer is yes, it has good features and is small enough to hide behind the mirror.
The hardwire kit is awesome and bothered the cameras and hardwire kit is easy to install a child could do it.

he loved it. i didn’t even realise all of the features it had? i thought it was just a dash cam — its not actually?? apparently you can do a lot more with it ha. like watching your parking etc etc. its a decent piece of tech. fits a volkswagen electric car ID:3!
It’s really cool. The quality is excellent and easy to setup and use. As it’s come with reverse camera it’s really helpful. And u can connect it with ur phone which is really handy. Happy with it.
I’m really impressed with this. It’s great value for money, easy to install without too much effort and instruction. The quality is good and the look and design is sleek. Very happy with this item and feel much safer driving around with this installed.
Was a doddle to use and even easier to watch recordings. Voice controlled, don’t have to keep taking sd card out to view videos, streamed straight to the app for you to download. Rear camera is small but great visual clear recordings, love that its small front camera also deters theft.
Anyway I did my research and decided the IIWEY EY05 had the features I was happy with. Also the reviews were very positive. Because of my experience I also wanted unattended parking coverage so I also purchased the hardwire kit from IIWEY.
I found the videos on Utube extremely helpful for the hardware kit in working out which two fuse connections to use. I am however an engineer and my skills with a meter helped me to be comfortable I was doing something that would not damage my car! The hardest part was getting this hardwire kit in place. Use a professional if you are not confident.
I used the user manual to connect up my phone using the OKcar application and everything worked as I just followed the instructions.
I made a mistake with the rear camera orientation as I assumed they viewed the camera from inside the car looking back instead of outside the car with the tailgate opened. Anyway I pulled the rear camera off the window still stuck to the antistatic clear patches they supplied. I managed to stick it back on with the wire coming out the correct side so the rear camera footage was now correct side up.
The videos are great with the ability to see second by second GPS position on a map which is helpful as is the date time stamp.
I have also set up the time lapse photography option for monitoring the car while parked.
You have to connect your phone to view the content through the OKcar app. Once you identify the content you want by viewing on the phone app you also download that content to the phone through the app.
I also contacted support as I wanted to change the default WiFi password. They got back very quickly and I have now changed the password.
All in all I am very happy with the purchase of this dashcam!
Ordered, received on time, dash cam now fitted, happy with product. Does what it says , would purchase again if needed too.
Easy to use and to see and review footage
Camera picture quality is good. Not as good as my old Nextbase but for the money I’m pleased with it. Rear camera quality is surprisingly good. The night vision on both is also impressive.
App is easy enough to use in my opinion. Wifi connected no issues. And easy to download photos and videos. Voice command works well but you need background noise at a minimum for it to recognise what you’re asking of it.
I’d recommend ordering a Type C hardwire kit at the same time to run straight to the fuse box.
Overall really pleased with it.
Lastly, as my phone auto connects to the camera when I get in the car, my You Tube Music soon stops streaming. So I have to pull over to turn the WiFi off, and get my music back!
The only small criticism is that the g-force sensor is a bit too sensitive on the lowest setting as it always starts recording when you enter or leave the vehicle. Maybe a 20 second delay before activation would solve the problem. Otherwise great product.
Not the cheapest dash cam but a quality one. The recorded videos are clear and as well as date and time show GPS coordinates. The voice control is quick to react but sometimes doesn’t hear over the car radio.
The hardest thing as with any dash cam is the installation. This comes with a good English manual and I easily got it all working as it suggested before permanently fitting it. A 64GB SD card for recording is included.
It comes with all the mounts for both cameras as well as loads of cable length, cable clips and even a tool to help hide the cables under the trim to make it all neat and professional.
Excellent easy to install with the hard wire kit. Works great the picture quality is the best I have seen for a dash cam. Gives peace of mind when out and about driving. It also safe guards you when the car is parked by monitoring for knocks. A great dash cam. I would highly recommend this one. The price is good you would expect to pay more for a product this good.
My main problem that I’ve found is, even though the device records 24/7 for parking monitor, and I’ve been formatting my Samsung 128gb memory card every week. When I enter the car and start driving off after a short period of parking, or over night parking, even though the device is recording 24/7, it says recording start at least 2-3 minutes after I drive off. So the first 2-3 mins of footage there is none. I’ve used the hardwire kit and have it feeding off a constant 12V live fuse source. 4 starts due to this fault, as I could witness or be involved in an accident within the first 2-3 minutes.
Also for those wanting to know, the camera app is not well made it looks clunky and definitely needs refining. We need a better app that’s fluid and more modern.
Update 27.09.23 I’ve had to reduce the stars as the dash cam seems to randomly switch off whilst im driving! I have to keep an eye on the screen to see if it’s recording. This is quite dangerous and annoying. First it takes about 2-3 mins to start after I start the car and drive off. My battery health was reading 80% according to bimmercode so it can’t be the cars battery.

Small, compact, easy to install. It has a front camera and rear camera, with a great picture quality. The whole unit fits well on your dash and works as expected. Great quality product.
This is a replacement for my old non HD dashcam which is not reliable now. Compared to that, this is miles better with regards to the video quality and functionalities.
Installed the app from the play store and connected to the built in Wi-Fi on the camera, which took only a couple of minutes. I can access all the videos from the phone and do not need to mess around with the tiny SD card and adapters(64GB card included on the purchase).
Unlike my old dashcam, this camera is small so it won’t obstruct the view. The video quality is superb even in low light conditions. The captured videos has whole lot of information, so that can be used as evidence if necessary. It has voice conformations apart from various indicators, which is very helpful. I’m really impressed with the ease of use and the build quality.
I installed it last night the video quality is great even in the night. You can easily read the other cars registration plates. The thing I like the most is that is very small.
Bought this as an upgrade to my current dashcam. Very easy to setup front and back, the cables are long enough. The app is simple enough to connect and use. The overall quality of the video is decent.

Set this up fairly easily and have been using for the past week or so. Really pleased with the playback and image quality it’s much better than one I’ve had before which was much more expensive so really pleased with it.
The quality of the image is fantastic and it captures a wide angle of the road. It’s very straightforward to set up and the instructions that arrive with it are easy to understand. Good value and a must-buy if you want to travel safely on the road.
