These MFi Certified Lightning cables have not only met but exceeded my expectations in terms of durability, speed, and compatibility.
These cables come in threes in a nice plastic pouch and each of them has a little white band to keep it nice and tidy when not in use. I have used one for a few times now to realise that it does what it says on the tin (so to speak!).
Each charger operates at a max of 24A, which should be more than enough for normal charging. Now, don’t ask me about fast charging, as I don’t really know how this thing works. However, when connected to my laptop, it takes it a good 2mins to charge 1%, so those inclined can work out the rate, etc.
Overall, the chargers are good. They come in your Apple white colour and in the same feel as the original cable. This tells me that they might not last long, as they don’t have any protection in the ends, where Apple cords tend to fail, but at least I will make good use of them before they do. Each cable is 1 metre long, which can be seen as short, but is more than plenty for desk-based charging.
My kids are constantly losing their charger cables and it was costing me a fortune replacing them, particularly if I opted for Apple branded or other expensive makes at around 20 a shot.
This 3 pack cost just over 6. If they get lost and need replacing, it’s not going to hurt as much.
Quality wise, you have to be realistic, at barely 2 per cable, it’s going to struggle to match the quality of a Apple 20 cable but, they work and that is as much as you can ask of them. Perfect length for my requirements, perfect pricing and they work. No complaints.
