My granddaughter is a Lego Friends fan and this impressive set is part of her Christmas presents, as it’s always difficult to review Lego it’s a toy that children (or adults) either love or hate all my family fall into the first category. With this set
Amazon was the cheapest I found and with quick free delivery Amazon was the obvious choice. As for the legs it’s of little difference if the set cost a couple of pounds or hundreds the packaging instructions and quality remains first class. Good buy offering hours of fun.
This ended up a lot bigger than I expected once built, bit the kids love it so who am I to argue?!
Easy enough to build, with great instructions as any Lwgo fan will attest to.
Excellent quality.
This is a really good build for young lovers of Lego. The instructions are nice and easy to follow. All the pieces were there and everything fit together just fine as usual. The end build is very versatile and fun for hours of play with other Lego builds. I love how contrasting the colours of the tower are it makes for a great addition for a city build, it’s a large set with plenty of interesting parts to it. My little one absolutely loves playing with this and is a permanent build in the bedroom.
Overall it’s a great Lego set and I can fully recommend it.
This set is brilliant, my daughter loves it.
Its a big set which takes a while to build, then once built the fun continues for hours.
Being a lego product. You are ensured that it is good quality and best yet if you are ever missing parts from your lego (which is rare) when you first build it when its new, lego will post you the missing parts.
In all, it expands the ever growing lego ecosystem in our house and the kids love it.
As with all lego you can borrow parts from any box to build your own creations and as lego say “become a master builder”.
While my girls are sadly getting to the point where they would rather do other things than play Lego, and at the same time my house is running out of space to contain all the fully built Lego sets we have, this remains an excellent set. My son enjoys playing Lego with his sisters, and while he is too young to have the patience or the skills to build following instructions, he likes following along while others are building.
This set is fairly hefty as it comes with many different levels , but luckily the Lego build quality means these levels are distinct and fit together in a sturdy way. Luckily, these levels are very easy to separate either into self-contained cubes to make your own fantasy boojie street, or to vertically re-organise the order of the Community centre.
The set comes with a few characters (which my son did enjoy putting together) and various distinct features such as a slide, swing, street light, and rooftop greenhouse. The whole thing is like a non-irritating hipster paradise, a jewel of a pleasant, ideal world where imagination is second only to happiness. There are rooms for art, music, and relaxing, and each is colourfully and thoughtfully designed to unlock the fun and imagination of kids.
The set can be directly connected to others in the series, and while we don’t have any of these, it’s equally simple versatile that you can extend your play to any wider Lego Friends or general Lego sets we do have. My kids already have beach and city Lego Friends sets, so this new one has slotted in nicely to their fantasy town and allowed them to continue the adventures of all of the characters they have devised. Now I just need to work out where it can be stored.
LEGO have gone to great effort to make this as fun-but-straightforward as possible, which I really appreciate, because its a significant build if you do it with youngsters like we did. It’s split into phased bags that are clearly numbered, and the guide is very well presented. It was a good way to ease into exploring mental adversity as the build caused some friction between our little ones, but being methodical and persistent really paid off and they were pleased with the end reward – it was split over a full weekend for us – maybe we’re out of practice for builds like this. The theming reminded me off an apartment block rather than a community center – but it’s cute and really open to imagination – highly recommended as a above-average challenge lego build for young ones to be included too!
This is the first lego set just for me, at long last! And I love it! I love the detail, I love the fact that it doesn’t take up lots of space now is built, and it’s so colourful and cheerful.
Followers will know that I am using Lego and other types of building kits to improve my hand eye coordination again and rebuild my dexterity and this was my biggest challenge to date.
I’ll say upfront that it was missing two pieces but getting them replaced by Lego was surprisingly easy and simple to do, it took me less than two minutes and they arrived within five days, the build took me longer in total so that was fine.
With 1513 pieces this was my biggest and most challenging Lego build so far, due to my dexterity issues I did have to rebuild two levels twice due to dropping them when trying to move them to the others, no real problem there as the instructions are laid out in such an easy way to follow I was extremely happy about not needing a magnifying glass for the instructions.
With five levels it is a multistorey building project that rewards patience and time spent, the attention to detail on each level is marvelous with the decals stepping it up a notch, I especially liked the gaming room and the art studio, kudos to Lego for the inventiveness put into this set.
While this is marketed for kids I cannot see it myself as firstly it is very, very expensive at almost 130 and is very hard to play with especially as the floors do come apart very easily, even though the kids can probably build it much faster than me, I think frustration would get to them having to do it all the time.
No, I think this is again for collectors and admirers, the sheer amount of work required means it is not for simple playing but for looking at and enjoying the craftsmanship that the designers built into the set and for that reason I believe it justifies the price and shows why Lego is still miles ahead of all of the imitators and competition.
Me and my 12 year old daughter had great fun building this together. We used to do ‘old’ Lego Friends when she was younger, but we haven’t done any of the rebranded Lego Friends. And we both much prefer it now.
Comes with 6 mini figures, and 4 differently floors. The floors can be put in any other you chose – really creative house with music, gaming, arts and craft like painting and sewing. The detail in this modular build is typical Lego quality.
The house sits well together and doesn’t feel flimsy at all. And has taken pride of place on top of the Lego unit we have.
LEGO toys truly have a magical quality that sparks imagination and creativity. This particular set is no exception, as it allows you to construct a whole world using small pieces. Just like other LEGO products, it is made with high-quality materials that ensure durability and safety. When I opened the package, I was delighted to find that there were no strange odors, such as plastic or paint smells, which are essential for children’s toys. With five floors and various areas to explore, such as the music room, chill-out zone, and greenhouse, it offers endless possibilities for imaginative play. One aspect I particularly love is the modular design, which allows you to customize the layout of the floors and easily change it up whenever you want. This adds an extra layer of fun and personalization to the building process. I also appreciate the inclusion of various accessories that enhance the play experience, such as art supplies, gaming equipment, and gardening tools. These additions allow children to create their unique scenes and stories, fostering their creativity and storytelling skills.
While the set provides hours of entertainment and opportunities for building and storytelling, I must mention the price. At 128.91, it is on the expensive side.
The Community Centre is comprised of different sections, including art and recording studios, a gaming room, a caf, and even a rooftop terrace
the gaming room provides a fun and interactive space for imaginative play.
The caf area offers opportunities for socializing and role-playing
sturdy as to be expected from lego
pricey but worth it in my opinion
brightly coloured set too
great gif
his is a great big set from Lego that contains over 1500 pieces , this set is a sort of community centre more like a corner building with lots and lots to do, excellent for kids.the set comes with step by step instructions easy and simple to follow. the Lego set contains lots of figures in a good size and great level of detail also bright colours .as is a large set will take a while to be finished but once is done looks amazing with lots of rooms like music room ,graffiti room ,a pool, a greenhouse, recording studio and many more , good selection of themes room .
I like the fact that every single piece is sturdy, well made , colorful, perfect for a main gift Christmas time or any other occasion, im sure will be well appreciated.
After surprising my nephew with another Lego Friends set of a beach party, I decided that this time it was my niece’s turn and the hug I received, was ultimately worth it.
After she built it, she had her whole range of dolls coming round and socialising at the community center.
Her real life friends have also been having fun, playing with her and her new toy.
The box was massive and the final result is nowhere near as big, but the amount of detail that went into creating the design for this is brilliant.
This is a massive Lego set with 1500+ pieces and is for children over 9 years. The set is designed with vibrant colours and includes plenty of small, intricate elements that enhance the overall aesthetics. A great Birthday and Christmas gift.
Everything’s happening in this construction. The Community Hub is a dream of a fun place to be. It took my teenage granddaughter around four hours to put together and she thoroughly enjoyed making it. Frequently exclaiming at the intricate cleverness of the rooms and their contents. Our favourites were the working sewing machine, the roof top greenhouse and garden, the recording studio and revolving stage, the painter on the suspended cradle finishing the mural. We laughed at the tool included for prising apart any mistakes which we thought at first was meant to be part of the building. The tree was the most tricky to make. The four instruction books were excellent as always. No language just pictures and numbers to follow. However once made and shown to younger children it proved difficult to reach into the small floors and begin any kind of imaginative play. Every move knocked bits about and the floors came apart too easily. So it is just to be admired, kept as part of a Lego Friends set with so many extra elements on offer. I think that at the present price of one hundred and thirty pounds it is an expensive purchase for the play value after a few hours of putting it together.
We really like this set because there is so much to explore. In my opinion this set is enough for countless hours of play time and you won’t need other Friends sets to enjoy the series. There’s more than 1500 pieces so prepare for long building sessions! Kids will need some help with this despite the instructions. There’s 6 Lego figures and a dog.
There’s multiple “rooms” and lots of accessories, there’s music area, dog grooming, gardening, art and lounging. This set has it all, it is the perfect birthday or Christmas gift.
This arrives in a large full colour printed Lego box measuring approx 37.5cm x 10cm x just under 58cm.
You would need extra wide wrapping paper to cover it, but it would be easy to wrap & looks like a main Christmas or birthday present it’s so big.
The set contains 1,513 pieces & takes a while to build, but it doesn’t contain any of the more tricky building techniques, so is suitable for younger builders aged 9+.
There are stickers in the set, but I was really happy to find that the large graffiti mural is a print!
If you also have LEGO 41747 (Friends Heartlake City Community Kitchen), this has been designed so you can build this whole set without using the baseplate on top of it, to have an even taller building!
It’s a really fun build, full of great play features and each floor can be moved up or down the stack, removed & played with separately or played with as a whole building.
This is one of my favourite Friends sets so far & it has the connections on the side to become part of a modular street (like a Friends version of the Creative Expert Modular series), so I’m excited to see what comes next in this line.
Highly recommended.
The set comes with the usual very clear instructions and numbered bags. Due to the size of it you would probably want to do it in 4 or 4 sessions. The age recommendation is probably about right, it might be too complicated for most younger children to build and if they make a mistake it might not fit together and take quite a while to put right.
There is a lot of Lego here, over 1500 pieces and it makes for a very large and detailed play set, should keep most children entertained for a long time especially if it’s part of a bigger Lego city. The levels can be rearranged or used as smaller or even individual sets.
At around 130 this is top end price wise. It’s the size of several normal sets so it’s never going to be cheap but does seem a lot to pay, maybe one for Christmas.
The Lego set is super colourful, it feels alive and it has great stores. Super fun to build, stacked as little modular shops come together.
The themes of each shop are cool and trending. Really immersive experience for children to build. Lots of little details on each shop.
Definitely my favourite is the painted mural on the outside of one of the shops. Super creative and lots of pieces to ensamble
As you’d expect from any Lego set, this is superb quality and of a very high standard.
It is also massive! It will entertain for hours.
The instructions are very clear and easy for anyone to follow.
The end build is very impressive and looks amazing! My daughter felt a real sense of achievement.
Brilliant!
This is a Lego friend city community centre building set
It came well-packed and of good quality.
Suitable for boys or girls.
I like the style and quality.
Features 5 floors with different styles.
I like the colours and it is easy to build.
It is big so suited for older kids in my opinion.
You can purchase an extra pack.
Would definitely recommend it.
The set is split up in to 11 bags, and the instructions are spread out over four booklets. Each booklet covers one floor, more or less.
My partner built this set over 4 days. The first booklet took her two hours to complete. Book 1 covers the foundations and the ground floor. The instructions are easy to follow, and although the construction process isn’t overly difficult or intensive there are more small decorative elements involved than in sets aimed at younger children.
There are a six Lego friends figures and one dog included. The set has lots of fun elements and moving parts incorporated into the. There’s a tire swing, slide, bosun’s chair, rotating stage and even an access ramp for Pickles the dog.
Once built it makes a very solid and interactive play set that should give a child hours of enjoyment.
Lego friends heart lake city community centre
I won’t lie, I built this myself, the kids didn’t get a look in, I mean look at it, I couldn’t resist!!
A fantastic multistorey building, on the corner of a pretty little street. Each room is full of different things to do, the details are amazing. You get 6 characters and you get the most adorable little dog. These characters are larger than your average Lego characters, maybe more enticing for little ones.
This took a few hours to build. The instructions are fantastic. Very detailed, large and easily readable, perfect for grown adults and kids. All of the pieces were there, including some spares too.
The size is good, it stands at roughly 41cm tall, with an 18cm x 20cm base. So it’s quite decent. Each room attaches onto the other one easily, you can mix them up.
At the top, is a gardening area, then you have an art room below, there is a moving sewing machine in here! Then you have the game room, one of the gaming tables, has original style miniature Lego men for a board game, I thought this was brilliant. Then there is another chill and game room, with moving swivel chairs in. The base has a music room, with a movable centre stage area. The side of the house has a cool slide, which takes you from one level to the next. The other side of the building, has a lifting platform, so the wall can be spray painted. Honestly, I would have loved some stairs added in there but it’s not the end of the world, I feel like you wouldn’t have the option to add more buildings to the base (it looks like you’re able to) and you wouldn’t be able to mix up the building levels as easily either.
I thought this was amazing, I enjoyed every last minute of it. Ok, so I’ll let the 9 year old have a go now, as she is desperate to give it a go herself, I think with a bit of help she could do it, it would be more suitable for maybe 11/12 year olds I would think.
I would absolutely recommend it. Maybe slightly more than I thought but I did expect a high price.
There can’t be many people left in the First World who aren’t familiar with Lego or don’t own a set or minifig at least. Kids and younglings in my orbit are HUGE fans of Lego, so you can image the smiles all round when this MASSIVE set was presented to them.
This is a big set, containing 1513 pieces, and, like all decent Lego sets has an easy to follow set of instructions for the contraction of this community centre. Yes, that’s right, I said community centre. Now, such a venue is not necessarily high on most people’s choice of builds, but trust me (trust a random internet reviewer) this is a fantastic set for kids.
The set contains multiple figures (not the minifigs you see in more mature sets), and, once built, the building has a music room, a recording studio, a chill out zone, an art studio, a pool, a greenhouse, and rooms that defy description really (they all do in fact). It has more rooms than the Lego Star Wars Death Star!
This is a fine build for kids, easy to build, looks very colourful, and it’s robust (to a point) for actual real play.
This is a huge box that impresses many a lego inspired kid – as an adult it is obvious this is a very basic build – perfect – big but quick to build!
Lots of bits & my daughter liked the pride character.
This is a lot of fun to build. My daughter and I had hours of entertainment putting this together. Goes great with her other friends set and she loves it. Fairly easy to build and easy to follow instructions. Good quality as all lego usually is and good value for money.
Really good set, it’s very big though so more suited to older kids and adult collectors. I wouldn’t recommend letting a child build this up as it’s easy to make a mistake and end up being unable to correct it unless you start from scratch. The entire build took about three hours to complete I didn’t have many issues and I’ve built it can be connected together. I decided to have a 3 tier and a 2 tier build so that they better fit inside my display.
Would recommend this from ages 8+ but only if they don’t get bored easily and definitely not as a first Lego build.
Would maybe consider having an adult supervise construction and if you plan on keeping it all together, use a dab of glue on each block, even though it adds more time to the entire process, it should then be able to withstand a drop or two without shattering.
There’s more than enough characters to use the rooms and existing Lego city characters don’t look out of place in this set.
Definitely one for the collectors and the more experienced builders.
We’ve not had a Lego house type set before, usually with our builds, their built but don’t get much play after that. This set is fantastic for lengthening that play time. The colours are so bright and colourful, it has a fab curved slide and lots of other clever elements. You can also buy an extra pack to go with it too. I adore this set and a great addition to any collection. Would recommend.
