This means I can swap between my laptop for work and home. I have dual monitors through the hdmi so getting best result. My speakers are connected and the dangle for my keyboard and mouse. Pass through charging now for my laptop.
Great value for money, needed a usb c to HDMI adapter and this also has the benefit of the extra usb ports. Screen signal delivery is very good no drop outs and flashing and nice tight connection.
Easy to use and with store with a lightweight usb cable in laptop bag if on the move. Very pleased.
Delivery was pretty quick and the hub was well packaged. I use a notebook that has only one USB port, meaning I couldn’t use mouse and USB memory stick at same time – bit of a problem! I ordered this hub to solve my problem. I’ve used the hub only once but it seemed to do the job I’d wanted it to do. I’ve not noticed any problems. It’s quite discreet so doesn’t get in the way of anything. Happy with it so far.
Brilliant docking station unit.
Every port works fine.
No problems with connection issues, no loss of data transferring.
Under load it performs great too, data transfer speeds with more than 1 port being used is very impressive.
Recommended.
This is an upgrade to the small ports extension from Dell that I was using for a while. It is a very lightweight and compact product that provides 3 x USB-A ports (1 of them is USB-A 3.0), 1 HDMI port, and one USB-C port. It connects to your device via the USB-C port. The cable connecting this adapter to your device is fairly short, so it will not contribute to the cable mess usually present around electronic devices.
Overall, it seems like a quality product, and I am very happy with it.
I will update this review in a few months’ time to reflect on its prolonged use.
This hub works as needed, providing my laptop with multiple connections from one port – making it far easier to unplug when I need to take my laptop out of the house.
The only issue I’ve found, however, is that after unplugging, if I plug it back in then I have to unplug again and reconnect once my laptop is booted, else it doesn’t recognise my monitors.
When I’m travelling I like to use a USB hub like this one because it has a VGA port.
Some third world countries are still behind the times and they don’t have HDMI screens yet.
So, in those circumstances, the VGA port is very useful.
Apart from that, this USB Hub has a few 10Gbps USB ports that make data transfers very fast.
Lightweight USB Hub – Good for Travelling.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! AAA+++
Integrating this docking station into my workspace elevated my multitasking capabilities. The dual monitor support significantly expanded my viewing space, making tasks more manageable. Connecting various devices was straightforward, bringing a sense of organisation to my cluttered desk. The power delivery feature eased my worries about draining my laptop’s battery while working with multiple peripherals. It was interesting to note that the compatibility covered a broad spectrum of laptops, ensuring usability across different brands.
This is a handy little device that works as intended and can save a lot of desk space, I love the dual monitor option while being able to power your laptop still. I also use this with my iPad for some music production with logic as I can plug an audio interface in alongside an instrument while powering the pad at the same time. It is a plastic and not particularly premium feeling piece of kit but absolutely gets the job done and works perfectly.
One USB C and you can have all the possibility on the other.
Quite a few ports to set up you little WFH office.
Printers, screens, keyboard + mouse, USB ethernet, external drives and audio, as well as the power in.
Similarly the gaming controller and dongles.
Nicely built and very practical to store/hide.
Good quality materials, and seems pretty robust.
Good price at under 27.
Connected it to my laptop, and the utility was immediate. Multiple ports were functional and responsive, yet the HDMI and VGA ports left a little room for improvement. The docking station provided ease for multitasking without overwhelming my laptop’s resources.
This product is a good buy but make sure your laptop has a thunderbolt connection. Once plugged in i was able to run two extra screens and my speakers. I am very pleased with this purchase.
I bought this hub because I was fed up with plugging and unplugging my external storage, camera and USB powered fan, depending on which I wanted to use. Now I can leave all three devices permanently plugged in to my pc.
It is very slim and neat and there is no loss of quality/speed of any of the devices plugged into it.
First my biggest gripe or issue with this product is the heavy use of plastics, the whole case is plastic, so it doesn’t feel very durable. That said though, I wanted this as I have an old monitor which uses only serial port as a connector and my laptop doesn’t have that connector. This product solves that problem quite well.
I would say it’s functional but lacks that premium feel that you get from other similar products which use metal housings.
Still, as a back up device for short uses it’s perfect.
This is a decent, lightweight USB type-C hub.
It works well, and does what it is claimed to do. It’s very handy to have for a modern laptop, as they typically have only a single type-C port.
I don’t think that the VGA port or the audio port are particularly useful, and I would have preferred an extra type-C port and a gigabit Ethernet port instead, as these would have been given the product a much wider appeal.
As it is, the current price of 37.99 is too high; there is a voucher currently on the product page giving a 15% reduction, which takes it to approx 34.30, which is closer to where it should be.
A decent hub, and it would be easy to recommend if the price were sub 30.
Most of the USB hubs and docking stations I encounter have one thing in common: their gunmetal colour. This docking station breaks that mould.
My first surprise when unpacking this docking station was the lack of user manual or any documentation, not that it is really needed. Second surprise was that the hub wasn’t made of an alloy, it was black plastic.
To be honest, I am puzzled why manufacturers are still using USB 2.0 ports, when the newer ports are backwards compatible. This docking station appears to be aimed at the multi monitor market having 2 HDMI and 1 VGA port. If the aim truly was for monitor connections, then a DisplayPort might have been an idea.
I’ve been using this docking station for around a month now, no real surprises performance wise. I like the fact it has a 3.5 mm audio socket. It is priced lower than some less capable docking stations, though this might be down to the plastic construction. If you are going to use a docking station on the move, I would advise an alloy shell, rather than plastic.
Firstly these are the exact ports this has: 2 x HDMI output,1 x VGA output,1 x Type C PD 3.0 100W charging port, 3 x USB A 3.1 ports (5Gbps) ,1 x USB A 2.0 (480Mbps) port, 1 x USB C 3.1, 1x Secure Digital card slot, and 1 x TF (microSD) card slot, 1 x 3.5mm audio. This selection should have you covered for most data transfer needs, the only thing missing is the new USB 3.2, (which might not even work on a hub like this).
This hub fulfils all the specs and abilities claimed in the amazon listing, although you won’t be actually getting 100W out of this, about 90W is the most. This is normal on 100W charging hubs. In testing there was a decent amount of heat at maximum power draw, but nothing out of the ordinary for a PD charger. On Windows 10 and 11 it supports both Extend and Mirror mode, although when using both HDMI video outputs at 4K you will get a Hz limit of 30Hz. This is a bit annoying, but at this price it’s to be expected. If you are using 2560 x 1440 you should get 60hz no problem. Check the detailed product listing for the specifics of the output types, as your needs may not be met.
Although this is obviously not a premium product the build quality is reasonably good, and much better than slightly cheaper products with similar specs.
The current price of this is 37.99, which I feel is too high. However, there is an Amazon voucher which takes it down to 32,30, which is close to the 30 that I think it’s really worth. There are many other similar hubs available with different ports, so check about on Amazon to see what suits you best.
Overall I will say it’s a well-featured hub with good build quality and a decent price when using the discount voucher.
This is the product you need if you need more ports! It is stylish and also practical as you get a few more usb ports. As I have an all in one computer I need as many ports as I can get and this does the job giving me the extra ports I need for my printer, mouse and keyboard.
Definitely worth a buy if you need a port.
This is a great hub allowing me to connect multiple items to my MacBook Air M1.
It would be great if the was another USB C port.
It does allow power to feed into MacBook so I can use in clam mode – the one I tried from a different maker didn’t work properly.
All in all a great piece of kit and great price.
I use this product frequently to increase the number of usb devices that can be simultaneously attached to my laptop. It developed a problem and I contacted the customer services team. Their response was prompt and excellent.
works well for a while then needs to be disconnected then reconnected to get it to work again, but not to much of a problem once you know whats happening
