    In a nutshell:

    Things I liked:

+ Realy reasonable quality for an equally reasonable price.
+ 1/4″ to 2/8 adapters included for each plate.
+ Despite the relatively small size, three equally useful mounting slots which allow for a range of mounting positions (double really, because the plate can be rotated).

    Things I didn’t like:

    – Nothing.

    Do I recommend it?

Absolutely – good, solid quality and 10 for two is extremely reasonable.

I’m constantly losing my tripod mounting plates, so to get two arca-swiss plates for a smidge under a tenner is an ideal bargain for me.

No issues at all, they fit with no problems, although they are a tiny bit bigger than the OEM ones. Can’t go wrong here: recomended.

A pair of well-priced Arca Swiss compatible quick-release plates. They come neatly packaged in a cardboard box and with two converter screws if you need them.

They are well-machined and a good fit on my tripods. I’ll be using one of them permanently on one of my longer lens and will keep the other as a spare.

The little Allen bolts on the base are removable but are then to prevent unwanted sliding out of your tripod head.

It’s handy that there is a flip-up D ring on the base so that you don’t need a screwdriver or coin to tighten and loosen – my only quibble is that the d-ring itself is quite small and therefore a little fiddly. A slightly larger one would be easier to use, particularly with cold (or gloved) hands.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great value for money

I have a few cameras and I’m always having to swap the plate around between different tripods, which can be annoying if I’m on a shoot. These plates are ideal for keeping in place on multiple cameras – my only criticism is that the fixing screw head is a bit small (smaller than my Benro & Manfrotto ones) and id be concerned that the flip-up tightening lever is not as sturdy as some I’ve used. Also, the threads on the plates are a bit rough the first time you move the screw between positions but overall they are great.

Having used several Arca Swiss mounting plates over the years, I must say that these ones are tremendous value, in that you get two of them for about the same price (or less) than you could easily pay for a single inferior one.

The Manbily plates are a prefect fit into my tripod head. They feel absolutely solid and of high quality construction. The D-ring on the fixing bolt is a nice feature (no more rummaging for a coin to tighten it up) and the two (removable) end stop screws on the underside of the plates reduce the risk of your camera tumbling to the ground when you loosen the clamp.

I really can’t find anything negative to say about these, so they get two thumbs up from me. Excellent product at a great price.

These are original Manbily PU-60 tripod head quick release plates.
They are made of well machined aluminium alloy, and are flawlessly sprayed metallic grey.
The plates are 60mm*38mm*10mm, so slightly longer than most mounting plates, and useful for larger devices.
It’s nice to have spares of the plates for different devices, so you don’t have to swap them around.
They also come with a couple of 1/4 to 3/8th inch screw converters, which will come in useful some some other devices I have.

There are several versions of this product made to various qualities but these are well made. They have a crisp feel to them and are made to a higher standard then the others.
The screw is hand-tightened with a standard 1/4″ thread and there are also some 1/4″ to 3/8″ adapters in case you want to secure something with a larger thread such as a medium format camera – Mamiya RB67 ProS uses 3/8″ thread.
The end-stop screws can be removed so that you can slide it into the socket without having to open up the jaws wide.
The underside of you camera isn’t the only place that you will use one of these – in the photograph, you can see it on the bottom of a rail-based flash macro rig where having it on a tripod is a matter of convenience but it can be taken off quickly and used where it needs to be when required.
These quick-release plates are built to higher standards than others and are good value for money.

    Arca-Swiss QR plates x 2.
Well machined 60mm quick-release plates with stop bolts underneath (removable). Perfect fit with my existing Andoer Arca Swiss clamps (and probably many others). Not all Arca QR plates are made to the same tolerances so it’s always bit of a gamble as to whether they will fit correctly. These suit my purpose – I would buy again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Decent quality. Good fit.

These are very well designed and made quick release plates, you can tell some thought has been put into these.

Nice rounded edges, multiple mounting holes, good quality screw and just a general feeling of quality and value for money.

At the time of review these are 10, now I’ve previously bought a double pack of plastic plates for 3 less than these and honestly I’m feeling ripped off now given how good these are compared to the plastic ones.

I’ve you’re looking for some quick release plates I don’t think you’ll go wrong with these!

    PROS
-these are well machined, no sharp edges, and a well-shaped arca-swiss dovetail
-60mm is a good size for larger DSLRs, and smaller mirrorless cameras
-the dovetail is within arca-swiss specifications, so they lock tightly on the 6 tripod heads that I tested with (including a notoriously finicky head I have, which often won’t clamp tightly on other arca-swiss plates I have purchased).
-they come with two convenient 1/4 to 3/8 thread adapters
-the rubber interface between camera and plate seems well made, and solidly stuck to the plate.

    CONS
    -none

Is your camera kit bag as well organised as well as mine?
Or have you encountered that wonderful moment where you go to grab something and it’s not there ?
If so these heads are for you.

Supplied in a easily recyclable cardboard box they are made from steel with rubber grips.
I found they fitted most of the assorted tripods I have snuggling and securely.
Plus, if like me, you have different sized bits of kit’s there’s adaptors between screw sizes included.

Best of all is the price, compared to certain brand-names, these will save me loads.
Especially given theres 2 in this pack.
So you can keep one at home and one in the kitbag.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice and sturdy

A very nice product that is well made. Supplied in the pack are two Arca Swiss type tripod plates and two adapter screws to convert the tripod socket on your camera from 3/8″ to 1/4″ thread if needed.
The plates look to be made from billet aluminium and finished in a satin black. The top surface of the plates have textured rubber to help with grip. The fitted 1/4″ screw has a broad head with a slot for a flat screw driver or small coin. It also has a folding D-ring so no tools are required to fit it to the camera.
The under side of the plate has two Allen screws fitted, I don’t know the reason for these and they don’t seem to do anything. With the screws fitted the plates don’t fit flush into my tripod head, although it will still lock up. Removing the screws should allow the plate to fit fully into tripod head. The only thing I can think of is that the screws are to act as a stop to prevent the plate sliding out of the head?
A nice pair of quality tripod plates that can be left attached to your camera or lens to make full use of the quick release facility of Arca Swiss tripod heads.

This is a great deal price-wise with these Manbily PU60 Arca-Swiss pair of tripod head quick release plates with a 60mm x 38mm x 10mm footprint with six rubber-based segments that act as cushioning for a camera – see photos. They come in a plain cardboard box together with two to 3/8 thread adaptors. I am using them with my monopod with one mounted on my camcorder and the other on my stills camera so I can change over from one to the other swiftly as required. Overall

5.0 out of 5 stars A nice pair of well-made QR base plates.

These are good quality quick release plates, with multiple mounting holes to fit a wide variety of cameras. They have a large surface area and 6 textured rubber pads which help to stop the camera from shifting even with my heavy lenses equipped. Much better than the small quick release plate I got with the tripod head. Very happy with them!

Arriving in a small box, the two plates individually bagged, and 3/8 -1/4 converters in a bag.

I have used Arca-Swiss compatible quick release plates before, though normally the longer 120mm plates more suited to a big lens. These 60mm variety are great for a camera with short lens, spotting scope, or even binoculars, in fact anything that has the correct matching thread on the bottom.

It is nice to see that the two safety screws are pre-installed on the underside of these plates. These can stop the camera sliding out of the clamp if the plate is correctly used.

I attached one of these to the base of one of my cameras, and they tighten nicely by hand, though there is a screwdriver slot, which can also be operated with a 20p coin. These plates have the advantage of having the better designed screw pre-fitted in the plate. When tightening, only tighten enough to stop the camera moving, or coming loose. Over tightening might damage the camera screw thread.

With the plate attached to the camera. The plate was correctly positioned in the clamping plate which was already attached to the tripod head, and the clamping plate tightened, the camera remained secure.

Although the plate can be mounted “front to back”, or “side to side”, as seen in the attached pictures. I would recommend front-back as this is the orientation on big lenses that have Arca-Swiss compatibility in the lens foot.

If you have a combination of tripods, cameras and lenses, using the appropriate size plate with corresponding base clamp on all devices, allows for quick interchangeably .

I always carry a longer version of this plate for the occasion when someone is having trouble hand holding their camera. In just a few seconds, the plate can be attached, and they can borrow the use of my tripod.

If you have your camera on the tripod, you might find with practice, you can dismount the camera from the clamp in a second or two, which is ideal if there is action taking place elsewhere.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple to use.

Quick release plates are a great thing if you frequently change cameras between the same or different tripods. Securing a camera to a plate is a bit of a process. But if you have enough plates, you can have them attached pretty much permanently. It’s a no brainer right?

This Manbily two-pack is the solution. The plates are made of lightweight metal, with rubber pads at the top for protection. You have 3 holes in each – two with left-right adjustment and one you can move forward and back.
Each plate has a D-ring adapter with a ” screw. There are two converters to ” diameter included. On each end you also have pins to prevent the plate from accidentally sliding out when adjusting position. They can be unscrewed using a small hex key which is not included.
The plates are Arca-swiss compatible, which is probably the most popular standard for any head these days. This means you can use it with the majority of heads you own, even from different manufacturers.

What else is great about this set? The price. For just under 10 these plates look really attractive. I have quite a few heads and quite a few accessories to mount on them. With this set I’ll be saving myself some time. Highly recommended.

Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful.

There’s not a lot to say about these.

They fit as expected and feel solidly made. They do the job, in other words.

Having 2 in the pack is nice, especially if like me you have a couple of cameras you want to keep them on so you can quickly put the camera on a tripod. Saves having to unscrew and swap out a release plate if you only have one.

I regularly have to do that (or did have to before getting these) and it was always a pain. Now, with these extras, I can leave them on my cameras all the time. Since I use those two particular cameras inside for making videos that works great for me.

    Saves a ton of time.

I tend to use multiple cameras while doing photography shoots and having to stop and then swap a QR plate from one camera to another can be an unwelcome interruption. Having multiple plates which will fit my tripod heads solves that issue.

This Manbily Pack Of 2 Tripod Head Quick Release Plates is supplied with two 3/8″-1/4″ adaptors and each has a removable 1/4″ screw which is slotted as well as having a D Ring for tightening. The underside of both plates have a safety pin at each end to prevent the plate from sliding free of the tripod head if it is not fully secured. These are static screws as opposed to being spring loaded.

The plates I received are very well finished with six rubber pads on the upper surfaces to provide good purchase on the underside of cameras and prevent damage to the camera body. There are thee slot options which allow the user to have the camera securing screw in the optimum position to suit whichever camera type they they might be using. These slots have a thread at one end to facilitate the insertion of the fixing screw which then means that the screw doesn’t simply fall out of the slot when no camera is attached to it.

Having used these plates with a selection tripods they have performed flawlessly helping me to keep my workflow free of interruptions. Overall in my opinion these plates are very good value and great quality. Recommended.

This pack of two Quick Release Plates (Model No. PU-60) arrive in a small, unbranded cardboard box. Inside the box are the two plates (each in their own a gripseal bag), and 2 x 1/4″-20 to 3/8″-16NP adapters (in a single gripseal bag).

Both plates are well made and have a good finish. Made of aluminium alloy, they feel both robust and durable. The measurements match those in the description, so I won’t repeat them here.

The 1/4″-20 screw for attaching your camera/equipment looks to be made of stainless steel. As do the 1/4″-20 to 3/8″-16 adapters that can be attached, should your equipment require the larger screw thread. The head of the screw has both a slot and D-ring for tightening it. On the plate there are thee slots into which the screw can fit. One vertical slot with about 1cm of travel and two horizontal slots with about 0.5cm of movement.

On the top of the plate are 6, textured rubber pads to help grip and protect any equipment you attach to it. And on the underside at either end, are two stainless steel safety pins that prevent you camera from acidentally sliding off the Arca-Swiss mount. These pins aren’t retractable, so when using the plate on your camera, it does mean you can’t place it down flat. However, the pins can be removed should you wish to, by using a small hex key (not included).

All in all, these are a good, well made pair of Arca-Swiss compatible Quick Release Plates. If I am being super picky, I wish the head of the screw was larger so that the D-ring was easier to grip with large fingers. I also wish the slot in it was a little wider so that you can use a selection of coins to tighten it, for those times you might not have a screw driver handy. I would also prefer it if the safety pins were retractable, so that you could place your camera flat on a surface when the plate is attached.

If I could, I would rate these plates 4.5/5 stars, but as I can’t, given the price it seems churlish to knock a full point of for these ‘missing’ features, when not even some top of the line plates have them.

~ Amazon asked me to review this product and to give my honest opinion about it. That’s what I have set out to do, so I hope you found it helpful. ~
