There are several ways to use these, as there are cards included to match each piece. So you can pick a card and get your child to find the matching piece and thread it on.
Everything is nicely finished, all pieces are smooth and well decorated.

Wooden toys are of more value. These little animals are all wooden and the stick they are all threaded on is wooden too. This toy kept my little girl busy for ages whilst she threaded the animals. They come in a little box which is good for storing them again. Overall a lovely toy and it would make a great gift too.

A lovely set of wooden threading beads. It comes with 3 threads and 12 threading beads. There’s also cards with animals on and their names in English and German. My daughter is 20 months old and can just about thread the wooden bead on but can’t quite figure out that she needs to grab the top of the string with her other hand before the bead falls off again. She will soon get the hang of it. Great for fine motor skills. A great montessori toy that also teaches about animals.

Excellent quality traditional wooden toy. Well made and feels sturdy. Lovely variety of brightly coloured animal themed wooden beads which are chunky enough for little ones to grip and thread.
Perfect for developing fine motor skills aswell as exploring numbers, colours and counting. Comes with a little book aswell as flash cards so can be used for learning words and spelling too. Great value would recommend.
This is a nice wooden threading set with the little animals on each ‘bead’ however I was slightly disappointed by the size of it. It’s quite a small set I think for the price. It comes with a little fabric pouch which is handy for storing the pieces and laces in and it comes in a nice box so would make a good present but just not a large set.

Helps with little ones motor skills to thread them onto the string – which had a solid wooden end to make this easier.
Once they are old, can be used to group the items together, learn animals and where they live.

I’ve been leaving it up to him to choose the pieces and I make up a short story to link each piece that he adds, which has tested my imagination as well!

I love wooden toys and this is a beautiful example of one. It includes a range of different wooden beads with different animal images which can be added on to the string. As well as helping dexterity and movement, this is a lovely colourful and engaging toy too.
Good quality wooden threading set. Pieces are double sided and chunky just right for little fingers. The threading needles have wooden stoppers attached so the threaded pieces dont fall off.
Drawstring bag included to store the set plus a handy guide on play options for the set. Lovely example of learning through play.
This is a brilliant little toy that helps to develop hand eye coordination for young hands and minds. Twelve apices with wide holes. Three threading sticks and storage bag. Well made and colourful cute animals and tree, house and wave. Comes with matching name cards in English and German. There are only nine cards which represent the nine animals but none to represent the three other pieces. I presume this is on purpose because it’s described as threading animals. Overall, a really lovely keepsake toy, educational, fun. Great gift.
My 2 year old grandson loves this toy – it is quite small and simple but it is exceptionally well made and beautifully painted.
He got the hang of it quite quickly and my older granddaughter who is 4 played with it with him.
It is a good interactive toy – a little expensive at over 10 though.
This threading toy is retailing at 10.79 (at the time of this Amazon Vine review) and its theme is animals.
The toy arrives in an attractive cardboard box ideal for gifting. Inside the box, there should be 12 colourful wooden beads and the three wooden and nylon cord threading tools (with a plain wooden bead on the end of each), eight cards showing the animals and their name (in English and German) as well as a green drawstring bag (to store everything in when not in use) and an instruction manual.
The beads are nice and thick, printed with the same printed design on both sides; they are also smooth with no rough edges. The designs are all attractive and brightly coloured; the animal beads being very cartoon-like in their depiction.
This is an ideal toy for a toddler upwards and teaches fine motor skills and problem solving as well as design. I have to confess that I am biased as I do like wooden toys in general for young children.
