well… I’m going to call exaggeration on the magic part, but this does add quite a lot of flexibility to my tripod setup. the large locking knob works great to tighten on both balls, and on point with some of the more spendy mounts I have. However, this thing is pretty tiny and lightweight, best to hold pretty small and lightweight accessories.
My use of it is pretty limited though and I can see how it would be super handy (maybe even magic) with a cage setup and “stuff” you need to flexibly mount to it.

I’ve had good luck with Neewer accessories for my camera gear. This is a short arm that can be used for just about any camera gear. I’d originally planned to use it for a monitor but ended up not needing it as I relocated other accessories from atop the camera instead. I leave this in my bag though for future use.
This magic arm is compact and versatile. It is made extremely well and does not slip. It can be used to mount lights, microphones, or monitors to your camera cage. The locking know is easy to turn and locks and unlocks smoothly. Neewer makes great stuff and this is no exception.
This product is indeed a magical arm for cameras. Many accessories such as microphones, LED lights, or even a GoPro can be attached and tilted and rotated in any direction.
I have been using it with the Neewer Ball Head with Four Sided Arca Slot.
The rubber pads protect the accessories from scratches and provide more stability.
Additionally, It also has two holes that offer mounting options for attaching more accessories.
Every time Neewer creates a new variation of their camera accessories, they improve upon the previous. This simple small ball-arm is no exception. This newest version has all-metal construction, non-slip grooves carved into the ball joints, and 2x convenient holes for mounting ” bolts and accessories.
I love these small arms for rigging items onto my camera without adding much weight or bulk. They are perfect for a video transmitter, on-camera light, or small microphone.
Out of all the camera bits I purchase, ones made by Neewer are always very well made, nicely finished, and well thought out with useful additions such as extra mounting holes. You can’t go wrong with their products.
This magic arm with dual ball heads is very useful for many applications, even for some unique situations. I have a SmallrigZV-E10 cage with a detachabletop handle. I also have a left-hand handle, which is too bulky to be on the camera all the time.
Now , with this 89mm-long, 84g magic arm, I can attach it on the left side of the cage, and the camera still fits a small camera bag. With the ball head, I can hold the arm at whatever angle I prefer. I also added anothermounting plate at the other end to make it easier to hold.
It is really a very versatile magic arm for every photographer.
he Neewer flexible articulating magic arm with two heads came in handy for a shoot I needed to capture from an abnormal height of 8 feet. I attached it to the stand & ‘voila’ the perfect angle for the camera (see photos) The magic arm similar to all Neewer product is constructed with quality durable material that you can count on for years to come.
I used this piece to hold up a light and/or a small mic on my camera setup. Its sturdy and made entirely of metal and it does the job just as intended. I keep it on-hand in my camera bag. I’m considering picking up more to have just in case! Worth the buy in my opinion.
Such a fantastic magic arm. It’s an all-metal construction that’s machined well. Along the side are a pair of 1/4″ holes for added mounting options.
The locking knob on the side is solid and large which gives you a good grip for adjusting to the correct clamping force.
Overall, this is priced well while having a quality feel to it. The aide drilled 1/4″ threads give it variable uses.

Arriving securely packaged, this Magic Arm is simple & straightforward — you twist the knob to tighten or loosen the lever that keeps the ball heads in place.
The 1/4″ threaded connectors on each end allow you tremendous flexibility for whatever you’re trying to mount, whether it’s lighting, small monitors, microphones, etc.
And, if you need even more mounting options, there are two 1/4″ threaded holes on the bar opposite of the adjustment knob which’ll allow you to utilize a different plane to place your gear.
Build quality is top notch, just as one would expect from Neewer.
It is another well made magic arm by Neewer, and works perfectly with my SmallRig Super Clamp, setup on a tripod with a Neewer monitor, and provides an extra 1/4 screw and hole to attach lighting or recording equipment. It feels very durable – Love it!
I like that this is a smaller arm option as has less of a weight penalty when I have it mounted on my video rig; With the 1/4-inch threading, I used this arm to support a video light on my rig and the installation was straightforward. I love that this arm is easy to adjust with the metal handle knob.
Construction wise, I appreciate that the arm has an all metal construction and it felt sturdy; It’s nice that there are 1/4-inch mounting points where I can install additional gear and adapters. I mainly these types of arms when I encounter clearance issues with mounting accessories.
High quality magic arm. The extra threads adds a lot of versatility. It’s easy to make adjustments to the ball heads and they stay locked down in their position. Recommended.
This is another well made product by Neewer. It has an all metal construction that I would expect to last a long time. I specifically got this one because of the 1/4″ tapped holes in the side of the body that give me more mounting options, and keeps both ball heads free for attaching two accessories.
I can get pretty good clamping of the ball heads without having to crank down on the adjustment knob. But if I need it to hold a bit more weight, the size of the knob lets me easily give it that extra clamping force if needed to make sure it stays in place. I’m very happy with this arm.
I have more Neewer doodads than I can count and I’ve been impressed with each and every one of them. This magic arm is no exception. It is well made, the ball joints lock down tight, it is properly machined, and it is light.
This is a great mini magic arm for your gimbal or cage.
If you need something like this, don’t take chances, just buy this one.
